NEW Colorado Growers Thread

They had a hay day with my sunflowers in Florida and are notorious in eating perennials.

I think a lot of it depends on what other forage is available to deer & their population density in a given area. In dry years, they're really hungry because there just isn't as much food.

I believe this to be the case in my situation.

The wheat & fruit trees in the area suffered due to the late freeze & the beans, safflower & other crops are just beginning to pop up over the last couple weeks.
The cannabis was the greenest thing in the area so... My loss...

At least I found it in time so I dont have to take cuts later, to keep her around. :dance013:

Probably already old news here, but we won something. PTSD is now a recognized condition for the MMJ program here in Colorado, which will hopefully pave the way for other psychiatric conditions being recognized as well.

Hey you guys have any info o. Strains preferred for ptsd
Thanks

I mean not to get personal, but I would have to know what your symptoms' would be to 'help' any.

This could be any disorder or disease...in my case (Type 1 diabetes).

For my anxiety I like a heavy indica....Larry OG, Kosher Og, GDP, ChemDawg.....I'll add more if I can remember.
For my focus Sour Diesel, Durban Poison, Sour Tsunami.

I always keep in mind a few factors in effects....environment while consuming, body chemistry of the person, state of mind and quality of the bud.

Hope that helps, but feel free to ask me....I love me some flower.

Thanks for your kind attention.
Symptoms are anxiety from time in Babylon, setting of treatment is remote woodland. Good response to gsc in past experience. I'm in the first week of flower on some Cali connection Larry so I'm thrilled to see it in your list. I also started a fruity chronic juice for him to try. Fiddynut had tried the gsc and I don't want hermies.
I'm indoor with a window shaker and a dehuey so I won.t have mold issues with the indicas I hope. The haze seemed to be counterproductive we tried bangi. Headbands so so for him. Sometimes nervous from it. Often good in small doses.
You said diabetes?? There's a strain ?
That's interesting all my male ancestors had it my siblings have. I don't I have smoked for 50 years they would never dare touch the devils lettuce.
It could be related, I don't eat the way they do though.

Never thought about sunburn but never had such low humidity
Thanks for the advice. What strains have you used in the dry air? I bet the thick indica ones do well . We seem to prefer the lower yielding strains but want to grow what they are buying in Co. For this project. I'm hoping my system will be good there . I plan to try some other strains Durbin poison for one to get familiar before we make the trek.
I wish you well.

Actually i have found Sativas give the largest trich formation from sun stress. We have several thousand feet of less atmosphere here to filter UVa, Uvb, IR bands and such. (this why you don't want to own a red car in Colorado...It will end up orange or pink)
Indicas are more for tropical climes. Here you have to mimic it. Look through my personal page for grow years.
But Indicas can be pushed similar with shaded daylight and other tricks.
The FEDs, and some more local piggies, use a UV detection to spot grows. The damn trichs are so good at reflecting sunlight they make those scopes light up like Christmas trees. My roofing stops a lot of that but not all.
One of the suntan lotion companies has been around looking into how to use it...The just can't find a legal way to ship everywhere yet.
Things to think about at altitude.

I grow indoor indicas and Sativas (mostly just hybrids) fine.
I prefer indica's for the height, but will LST too.

THC as a whole will drive my blood sugar down not a specific strain.
Dabs really make it drop at times.

Not a fan of Cali connection, but good luck with his garbage.
IMO and experience shitty seed germination rate.

There's dank bud & growers everywhere not just in Colorado.
There's tons of shit & horrible 'Bro" growers here too.
Stupid motherfucker tried me @ the gorw store Saturday then I hear him whisper he picked up Eagle 20. Fuck that.
I grew the same quality CLEAN no SALTS shit for myself while down South, but am legit now.

Thats very interesting about THC and blood sugar. I have low sugar often and sometimes when I have a fatty I get that tunnel vision effect just like low sugar I just thought good weed. Now I know to have a twinkie with my fatty.

imagine if the purina factory claimed that awful stench was "advertising".....

All I know is you don't see many dogs hanging around that place. It wouldn't hurt big grows a bit to pressurize their buildings to keep shit out and control the exit points. The reduced pest problems would pay for the cost

Sorry if this has been answered already, but what areas of CO are heavily saturated with outdoor hemp? I was looking at potentially starting something in Saguache county, but it seems like there'd be a high likelihood of existing hemp growers all over there.

ALL hemp grows that are registered w dept of ag are listed (by county) on the dep of ag website; pretty easy to find if u just go cruise around the hemp area of colorado . gov website - lots of useful info there imo
nearly every county has at least one, they are everywhere....

Pueblo is getting intense

If youre talking crime and undesirable drug users littering the street, I agree.

I cannot disagree with that. But money is like energy...it follows the path of least resistance. Pueblo is the ground right now.

Look at IL...Chicago is the consumer but the big grows are 150 miles away cause those communities offered the path of least resistance. Watch Ohio. Watch TX 2 yrs from now.

I ain't saying it is right or ideal, saying it is what it is
