Oye, TB!
I take it's a single plant! If so, how did you manage to bring about such a canopy?

Hi Orfeas,

Yes that is the top of one plant. The secret is that I started it in February. It would have been bigger, but I left it in a 2 gallon pot for too long. Next year I'm starting in January, if the weather outlook looks good. I'll put it in a 5 gallon pot so it does not get stunted like this one did. I lost about 2 or 3 weeks of critical growth in April due to it outgrowing the pot it was in.

Thai bliss that nepjam is in beast mode. What sort of climate/location are you in out of curiosity

Greetings,

Nepalese Jam and Bangi Haze x Nepalese Jam are my biggest and most robust plants this summer. The Nepalese Jam have a sickly sweet caramel aroma with some sort of medicine/mean bite in the background. They can become monster big:

Thanks for the compliments people.

I just got bad news. The mother of that plant just passed away. I had big plans for it. It is the first accidental loss I've had in 10 years. Ugh! I have lots of seeds from it, as she was a good one. A bit late for here, but super mold resistant buds. I hope a child turns out as good as the mum.

I live at 42 degrees north in a Mediterranean climate. Hot and dry in the summer, but rains come in November, sometimes in October. Hopefully not this October. LOL.

Sorry to hear that TB

As a parent, I am convinced that children can definitely turn out much better than their mums/dads given a nurturing environment and heaps of love which im sure you'll be dishing them out.

Maybe it is just hybrid vigour in my case, but in your case I'm sure you'll find a worthy replacement from your seeds!

my nep jam is filling in nicely. its been hot and dry all summer here. no rain and its worked me to death trying to water all my plants. i only put 1-2 plants per location so i can only go to one spot each day. oh well i will do what i can to keep them supplied with water.

This one is a keeper, if the high equals the beastly growth.

Beautiful plant, harvested @9weeks 5days of real flowers. Grown under 600w mainly. Coulda gone longer, and was fed very poorly the whole grow. This is day 3 of drying. Just cut the buds off the stems and piled 'em up in the drying basket yesterday. Helps keep some moisture and prolong the drying in this extremely dry climate.

Hi deepwaterdude,

Thanks for your updates and congrats on your Nepal Jam harvest.
I'm glad you have enjoyed growing this plant, did you find the strain consistent in both the standard and fem version ?

Wish you are enjoying your beautiful flowers in this summer time ;)

This is a favourite Jahaze.. I'm a fan of Nepalese genetics for time spent there. A friend and I grew the second ever release of NepJam back in the day. I think that's when it was still a bx1..

Here's some pics from 2012

The line wasn't as tame back then.. They grew into very big plants with narrower leaves and a killer zippy high...

This NepJam is from the new fem seeds. Lots of bending and is growing into a beast!
I've got some of Tom Hills x18 pollen to touch a few branches.. Let's hope they might be nice.

Hi Kalbhairav,

Yes, the older Nepal Jam version around 2012 was most probably the first backcrossed version or one generation inbred further (no more). I'm glad to see you are also running the newer fem version, X18 is a very interesting indica line to breed with, should produce nice hybrids when crossed with more sativa strains. Best regards!

Hi ThaiBliss,

I'm very sorry to hear you lost your Nepal Jam mother, it really hurts when you lose a parental plant that you love and that you have been taking care of for so long.
But as Globule said, i hope you find the same desirable traits in its offspring, hopefully even better plants can be found in the next generation.

Your Bangi Haze x Nepal Jam hybrid looks very good, quite early flowering but at the same time showing lots of sativa influence now in flowering stage.
Any details about the parental plants used for the cross ?

Here's another interesting Nepal Jam hybrid. It's our selected F1 Orient Express chinese hashplant mother, pollinated by the early flowering resinous F6 Nepal Jam mother pictured in post #691 (reversed).

Hi Dubi,

Those Nepal Jam x Orient Express look very beefy. Nice!

I have lots of Nepal Jam seeds from this mother that I lost:

^^^ This mother had an energetic sensual high. People mentioned getting lots of housework done when smoking it. One patient of mine with bad back pain told me a story of making some edibles with it. She ate some and then went and got a massage. She practically squealed with delight as she exclaimed "wow", describing how it felt. It was her favorite of a handful of samples from different strains I gave her to test how it would help her back. She did not want any that sapped her energy.

That Nepal Jam female was also very mold resistant. It was one of the latest ripening plants I grew. It survived a fall that had several rains, and foggy mornings. I never found a trace of mold on that one, while mold had appeared on all other late ones.

I was going to use that one in a cross to Bushman's Jamaican, after an intermediate crossing to Burmese to tame the Bushman's. Maybe I'll find another as good or better, but I'm really bummed to lose that one.

I crossed a Nepal Jam male, same one I used on my Nepal Jam female above, to a spicy and beefy Bangi Haze:
picture.php

I'm surprised I got a number of plants with very sativa looking flowers, even though the leaves are somewhat fat. I did not keep that Bangi Haze. I kept the one that looks like Congolese. It has super skinny leaves, looks like it has no Nepalese influence at all, but is ripe by October 7th. People who like stimulative varieties like that one very much. I keep two cuttings of that one as insurance against accidental loss. I like the high of that super skinny leaf Bangi Haze better, but the Nep Jam mother produced better, tasted better, and nothing matched it's mold resistance.

I have cuttings of all my plants this year. More pictures to come.

Here is the Bangi Haze X Nepal Jam that looks a lot more like the Bangi Haze (Fat Leaf spicy pheno) mother:

You can see the tight and fat buds better in this isolation of a branch:

This is probably going to be the biggest producer in the garden this year.

Best,
