Oh yeah my water is among the hardest in the UK. It's like 350+ ppm from the tap in my postal address. Most of that is made up by 2 kinds of calcium.
You see when I 1st started growing about 8 years ago I never had these problems. I never heard of calmag, I never knew my waters ph.
Things were straight forward, food, water and light and I grew weed.
Everything was in the bottle nutes the plants needed. Now you gotta buy all these supplements, buy ppm and ph meters and water filters.
Mental.

Ouch, 350ppm before nutrients ?,,,a ppm meter will tell you the full story on the total feed/ec you're giving the plant. Too high of calcium/potassium will lock out the other, thus controlling your water is critical(mental)

Get a ppm meter, and buy distilled water for now.

I ain't got the funds for a meter at the moment like I say next grow. And I have no way of transporting a fuck load of water every week.
That's why I'm gonna plod on through this grow and get me a filter and ppm wand next grow.

Are you seeing the same spots my plants had? But yeah I'd try and get some purified water cause that sounds really hard. Gotta try new things ya know? I narrowed mine down with the help of people on this forum and whamo I found my problem and fixed it.

I wasn't having a dig , I just swear a lot.... I'm English. It's cool.:comfort:

I'm not sure what "having a dig" means  but I curse like a drunk sailor :tiphat: ...it's all good.

Maybe collect rain water ?, it's free and easy to bring in the house...don't swear at me now :)

Can't really explain dig without using other English terms you wouldn't understand lol. Yeah rain water is good but I always end up with nasty creatures in it so rather not.

I hang with a bunch of Brit friends every year for 3-4 weeks, never heard the term before....I must have been drunk

I use rain water a lot, just pre-strain it thru a mesh fiber filter(from fish/aquarium store)first...I'll bet your girls perk right up.

Ahh but you see there is regional differences in the words used for things. I can barely understand people from Newcastle or Liverpool and they're only about an hour and half drive from where I live haha. People from Glasgow I need a translator.
Yeah I will start collecting some rain water when we next get some rain my way.
You see the plant pictured well it had a bit of nute burn going on before the spotting so I may have caused it with too much food.
Hence the flush.
With the amount of calcium in my water it should be fucking hard to get deficiencies of cal.

Over feeding or PH are the main culprits with lock out, now that you have flushed some quality water will make a big difference.

No worries man, but yeah that looks similar to what my plants had. I'd try a straight flush with purified phd water. Could be that or like the other guy said an overfeed of something since you're using hard water it already has a ton of minerals.

Everything was great but I've had this persisted problem of older lower leaves being yellow and eventually dying off there about 3 weeks into flower now...not sure if its a nitrogen problem or maybe a mag?

this is only happening on the biggest plants, and by dying off I mean falling off. maybe I'm not feeding them enough? It's really starting to effect one plant, slowly moving up towards the top of the plant. I bought Roots Organic Master pack but haven't really used any of the liquid ferts just the dry ferts as a top dress and mixed in with water feed.

That's normal bro, first couple rows of leaves are discarded by mom because they aren't proving enough energy to the plant for her to keep them...serve a purpose, or she kills them off.

I'll get pics of the plants later so you can get a better idea of what im saying. Hopefully that's it though!

If it's the first or second row from the bottom, and the rest of the plant looks good and healthy...that's what it is. But take some pics of the whole plant, so we can be sure.

I think bwanabud is correct-cannabis plants will generally start to drop their bigger bottom leaves more and more as they go thru the bloom phase. Usually a little later than week 2 or 3 tho. They are focusing all their energy towards making the buds and using up a lot of their stored nitrogen from the veg phase to do it. If they are dropping a lot of leaves real early in bloom, than they could prob use more nitrogen during veg and early flower.

I help them by just plucking them off if their completely yellowed and dead. I also will pluck off a few big fans that are blocking good flower sites here and there, throughout flower. If you run nutes that are heavy in nitrogen or that keep a lot of nitrogen in thru bloom, then you probably won't see it happaning as much. No biggie unless the entire plant starts doing it.
cheers

This is one of the biggest plants showing the worst signs, the other two biggest once have leafs starting to yellow out I'm going to the store to pick up some cal/mg. I have dry cal/mg from Roots Organic but I don't think its doing the trick. Here's some pics of the plants I'm talking about.
