Thanks man ! I checked out your current journal also, and it certainly doesn't seem like you're a newb, looks very nice ! I envy people who have the space and opportunity to grow outside !

Good luck with all of your grows also.

very, very nice grow greenhead. What kind of cabinet are you using and what are the dimensions?

Thanks ! The cabinet is a white particle board cabinet that I picked up at a Target store. The dimensions are 3 ' X 1.5 ' X 3.5 ' (L x W x H). I don't have a lot of height to work with, so that's why I'm LST'ing. A few more pictures of the cabinet can be seen in my first grow journal.

I love your setup. Looks like our recording studio. I appreciate your post because I am also doing Northern Lights. I got my seeds at the University Medical School and so far they look just like yours. I sowed directly into bio cups. But the strain looks exactly the same I think from your detailed photos. It is nice to be able to compare apples to apples. I am on Day 24 on my project and will update today. Great job on your rig and your grow.

Thanks ! A recording studio ? lol. Yeah, the reason I checked out your grow was because I saw that you were also growing Northern Lights. It's good to check out other people's grow who are growing the same strain. Good luck with your grow also !

DAY 33

Well, the heat wave has come back and it's pretty hot in the cabinet again. The plants seem to be doing alright though. On the other hand, I've blown three power supplies for the computer fans so far. It seems that the plants can cope with the heat, but not the power adapters. Luckily, I have a lot of old ones lying around, so after a few quick wire splices, I'm back in business. Having decent ventilation and fans blowing on the plants in this heat is crucial I think.

Sorry for the dumb question but what is the thing in the lower right hand corner of the last picture. Beautiful plants. We look the same except you have a nice uniform shade of green so we must have NorthernLights. Good job

Hmm, the only thing I see in the lower right hand corner of the last pic is a plant pot. But perhaps this will help.

hope you get all fems as well
how soon do you plan to flower them ?

best of luck on all your grows

:ying: peace-bear :ying:

Thanks a lot !

I plan to flower soon, since I don't have them in that large pots yet (1.5 gallons at the moment), so I don't think that I should veg for a very long time. I'm going to transplant again as soon as I weed out the males. I know that people say that transplanting in flower is a bad idea, but that's what I intend to do, lol. Thanks for the female encouragement, though I will have to kill off one or two, if I get four females, I simply don't have the space for four females. Two females would make me happy. I'd rather grow 2 large plants than 4 small ones.

Good luck on your grow also !

Thanks for the labels. I figured it out once you did that, the computer fan and the odor bucket it is on threw me off until I took a better look. I like to let veg for longer than most. Big mistake is I took some of my 1.2 gallon guys and put them into flowering without transplanting because I was sure they were males. One was. The other grew like a champ. It turned out pretty good but could have been much more fruitful. Live and learn. I did not transplant it because it was flowering and I thought I would stress it or something. You seem pretty confident so let me know if transplanting the flowering girls is a problem. Grow on!

As far as the transplanting in flower, that's what I did on my first grow and it seemed to work out just fine. I was pretty much on my own on the first grow, and nobody was guiding me along, so any problems I encountered, I just tried to solve them by myself. 16 days into flowering on my first grow, the plant started to look extremely droopy, and there were also a few yellowing leaves on the bottom. I didn't think that it was a watering problem, and after the plant remained droopy for 4-5 days, I simply decided to transplant it into a larger pot. I already knew that it was rootbound, because of the male which I had killed off which was in the same size pot. Shortly thereafter the plant quickly recovered, and everything went really smooth until the end of the grow. I'm not sure what exactly the problem was, but it seemed to be solved by the transplant.

With all of the heat abuse and bondage abuse that my plants are currently undergoing, I'm figuring that transplanting them yet again, which would mean transplant #4 is really no big deal I think. I'll take that chance, in hopes of increasing my yield somewhat. If you want to see pictures of my transplanted female in flower, and pictures of the transplant itself, then they can be found in my first grow journal. I'm fairly confident that had I not transplanted in flower on my previous grow, then the yield would have been significantly less.
