This thread is a fantastic example of how "grass roots advertising" has evolved...it can be one of the most effective marketing tools at one's disposal when done correctly...or the nail in the coffin of an entire business when people like LEDGirl are at the helm.
Personally, I was seriously considering purchasing an LED system to play around with from HG...and that one post sealed the deal on my not getting one. I'm quite sure that I'm not the only one who feels this way.
peace...
I don't see what the trouble is here with LEDgirl. We all know that she is selling her stuff but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have a point.
From the point of view of absolute stealth, LED is the future. Less heat meaning lower ventilation rates and better odor control, less electric usage and more bud production for the amount of electricity expended. Two of the LEO's biggest tools in developing a case are FLIR and power usage, both of which are big drawbacks of HID. Smart meters tip the balance toward LED even more.
This thread shouldn't devolve into an LED/HID debate. It is a thread about how a high power bill helped lead cops to a grow. I'm betting the OP will be spending a lot more on lawyers than he would have spent on buying LED. I don't say this to be mean to the OP but it is a factor more growers should consider.
There is no point with growers being upset that the bringer of this message is a vendor who stands to gain from the message. I imagine that buggy whip manufacturers were pretty upset with Henry Ford too.
Anyone interested in joining a team / task force assigned with the duty of putting LEDGirl in prison? She is clearly designing, manufacturing & selling equipment with full knowledge that it will be used for illegal manufacturing, and condoning using for illegal/illicit purposes.
Then, we can create a thread and talk about "if that bitch wasn't stupid enough to be posting blatant, rude, inappropriate things, she'd still be making money selling those silly LED units rather than being forced to lick Big Bertha the cellmate's cooter."
.......

C'mon....don't feed into her trap....just ignore....
No???
Find out first who you are talking about, what her rep on this site is and on others where she got banned...for obvious reasons.
Soon she will run out of sites though.
The thing is "you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" but that's something she doesn't get.
The issue with LEDGirl has nothing to do with LED vs. HPS; it has everything to do with her lack of compassion and respect for one of our brothers who had to hit the dirt. Instead of coming in the thread and expressing her condolences for his situation, she saw it as a sales opportunity while he was down and desperate. That is, as I mentioned above, despicable and an indication of her (and her company's) true colors.
...
If that was a sales pitch, it was pretty low key. Her private message to SH was unfortunate. As was the making public of that message.
This is all I'm going to say about the matter.
...... .
My Visitor messages are PUBLICLY AVAILABLE/VISIBLE you moron!

I think posting visitor messages from your profile (publicly visible as you say) here in this thread makes them even more public/visible, so in a way Perennial is correct.
There's really no need for insults...
What you think doesn't matter, read the forum rules, then come back.
Worry about unethical advertising instead.
My Visitor messages are PUBLICLY AVAILABLE/VISIBLE you moron!
Interestingly hers vanished though...but is still visible to Mods unless it has been "hard deleted"...but doing so would be against ICMag policy.
perennial know what you are talking about or STFU.
You sign up here on from post #2 on you seem to be here only to "mellow out" things about that other person - it's HER problem, don't make it yours.
Unless her and you are...
