Taking some samples to evaluate from the cobs hitting the hardest ha ha
The darker cob is the Malawi x Malawi Ethiopian with the purple leaves.
These are 12 months old and smell of sweet menthol and pine.

Followed by the Mulanje x Malawi Ethiopian

And the samples for chewing this week I think I'll try the second cob sample the Mulanje dominant one.

5 hrs later its all leveled out my word that was a good ride. I always say its like 2 lines of coke and sucking on a blotter ha ha.
Starts off fast and just explodes from there, thats why I like African grass, no ifs, no buts just slams you in the fast lane and floors it ha ha.

You cant shake that Mulanje structure can you brother the yield from one outside in the sun would need a big wheel barrow come harvest.
That plant looks almost identicle to the ones I'm growing now the cobs I made last year are my best creations ever.
I have managed to retain the terps and enhance them. Its a first for me and I cant wait to make some more the high is insane.

I have been learning how to grow sativas, and look forward to cobbing someday. Those most recent pictures look so delicious.

Please tell us the latest way are making cobs and enhancing terps.

The taste was strong, aged cigar box with undertones of dried fruit. I remember it being slightly racy at the start but then more relaxing . But clean

I know I cant even imagine how others find pot. To me its just a trip which I love to the point of severe dependence ha ha.
I had the purplest bud from the Malawi x Mal/Ethiopian cob taste today very astringent pine taste very intense.
So are the effects this stuff has got to be bad for me to be this good ha ha.
I cant recommend this cross enough.

All in good time grasshopper (quote Kung Fu tv series).
First you have to grow a worthy sativa then I promise you I will show the way. This is evolving knowledge lots of experiments on my end first.
I'll post some cured bud shots tomorrow this gear is gold dust to look at.

7 days on and everything is going well I spun the tubs around so I now have the males on the right for ease of use.
The males were topped and pruned back to have only 2 lower branches each and look to have enough flowers to do whats needed.

img_1738-web.jpg

The 3 tiny seeds from the selfed mother are doing well and showing preflowers. I want to pollinate them all with both males. As the mother they came from was outstanding in every way.

img_1732-web.jpg

But there is one thats has been first out the gate in every department and I will selectively pollinate branches with both males as well as free air pollination.
This ones a real Zulu maiden big and luscious in every way.

img_1736-web.jpg

Then the two sisters these seeds were from before MM pollen being added and you can see the difference in structure.
Again selective bud pollen from both males as well as open air pollen.
Both have different aromas one has purple stripes on the stalk as I have a male with purple stripping and one green they will both get the treatment the others will get.
Just hope I can pull it off ha ha. Most likely I will spill it all or sneeze like last time ha ha.

Then the more Mulanje style buds

img_1749-web.jpg
img_1743-web.jpg

These last two are the other end of the aroma spectrum, sweet pine, instant bar on gear.
I chewed that small bud on the left 2 hours ago and things couldn't be any better skimming along the edge of reality riding the rocket forward ha ha yeah.

Beautiful indeed, @Tangwena!
It is such a cool project to follow, and the plants are just as jaw-dropping as are the fermented buds.

Somehow I had missed that you had been working your own Tangwena Mulanje for that long! Kudos on you for committing to a proper preservation run, and for documenting it all here.

Very impressed by the ninja-level effective setup, too!

Thank you for making the two best threads on the forum.

Thanks for your kind words my friend these are not 100% pure but they are 100% what I like ha ha.
I keep growing them and they keep getting better every new grow, its a pity this is a seed run they probably wont fill out to their full potential.
But if I'm lucky I might still get a cob or two out of it.
I just keep chasing that perfect high, these African plants have what I need. I also have Mulanje x Swazi (3 different pheno's)
I want to grow those soon and see what they produce. Mixing two great plants is always a good starting point hey?

Always great to see some more pure strains.
Did you ever grow out the ‘South African from cannabiogen or Ace.?
Yes it was supposed to be Swazi bag seed and it certainly looked that way.
I crossed three good phenos to my Mulanje I still have to grow them. It was really good Swazi looking weed at least to me.
Very energetic and good quality high.
I also crossed Mozambique to Mulanje and got about 6 seeds I will be looking at those very soon.

Geez you have a nice selection now
It makes me all nostalgic talking about them ha ha.
I ordered a single seed from herbies of Mozambique and got the best female, big juicy stalks and big calyx type flowers.
The smell was unique I hadn't had the pleasure of smelling it before. Despite my wife coming from Beira on the coast of Mozambique.
I always wanted to grow it as it came from the south of the country. There are some strains from the North near Malawi that are very good.
But it was and still is a war ravaged area and hard to get in and out safely.
