But thats just a fantasy land somewhere in the imaginary continent europe located in a galaxy thats far far away.

A tiny, homogenous country vs a huge and diverse country full of people who hate each other for a variety of reasons. Yeah, totally sounds like everyone in the U.S. will be totally happy with paying for all the upkeep of their "brothers", and that we can implement a "FREE UNIVERSAL" healthcare system NO PROBLEM.

Labor units are the base of the economy. You don't even get natural resources without mans labor.

Why not just allow health care to operate within the free market where doctors and medical providers compete for their customers business thus resulting in cheaper and better service. Then people could afford for someone to service their health needs just as they could afford to have their brakes changed.


Again, if the forefathers of our country wanted the government controlling all sorts of aspects of our lives they would have specified such in The Constitution (everyone for mandated health care know what that is yet!?). There is a reason they gave no such control. It becomes destructive against 'We the People' where decisions are made based on private agenda of the "rulers".

If you want "free" health care go live somewhere else. America is supposed to be a Republic. - less government and more liberty!

Hacker steals my medical records, sells them to someone for some reason...Im not sure what the black market is for medical records.....but lets say someone wants to use them against you in a court battle. If you haven't signed off on them there;s this thing called hipaa. Or if the courts subpena's them then it doesnt matter what form they are in they will get them......

Now some might take those of us who are not totally against "Obamacare" as looking for handouts or think we have an entitlement for something and thats not it. I do feel for those people who has worked all their lives and cant afford good healthcare. I would want my kids to go to college, and with most useful degrees going from 4 years to 6 plus, this will enable kids of working class middle class family to put their kids through school. I'm not against health care. I'm against forced healthcare merely because it gives the government a right that they were never given... for a reason.

It sets precedence as they try to extract tax to pay for their deficits/fraud/etc. They are broke and desperate. What will they mandate after this?

Buy a house or pay a penalty....
Buy a hybrid car or pay a penalty....
Use credit cards or pay a penalty...
Pay this tax or pay a penalty...

See where I'm going with this? The US Government is broke. The states are broke. The federal government runs on borrowed/created/pixie-dust money. There is no money. Socialism doesn't work as you will always run out of people's money. I just want to retain our Liberties as our economy collapses.

Besides, ACA isnt going to work anyways as the middle-class uninsured are still not going to buy health care. Insurance costs will still continue to be increased thus results in higher taxes/more mandates/more government intervention (which never works).... and less freedom.


I don't want to see sick old people unable to afford health care either.

no, because if we spent billions on unnecessary tests and doctor visits and prescriptions, going to the doctor to get stitches would cost a 1000 bucks without coverage, or, an in and out arthroscopic knee surgery would cost 20k, and prescriptions would cost 10 dollars a pill.




oh, wait......




kinda like "everyone needs a college degree", and now a 4 year degree is 80,000 at a good college, instead of 10,000 25 years ago, when we had more manufacturing jobs where college was unnecessary and wages were higher in relation to cost of living.

not that college is bad, but with a first year drop out rate of somewhere around 35%, its clear some people shouldn't be advancing to higher institutions.
