Hiya goj

Thanks for stopping by! Yes they are now stretching daily. Amazing to see how quickly they grow now. I had read that TW grows very slow in veg, but very fast in flower, just what I am seeing. Whoopeeeeeee!!!!! :friends:

Day 12 flower update -

3 days after I watered / fed 2 of the 5 gal girls, the rest of the girls are thirsty. Now that they're beefing up, the 5 gal girls are drying out quicker, finally. Gave the rest of the girls a 500ppm feed of 1/4 str seaweed, EJBloom, Liquid Karma, TopMax, Protek, CalMagPlus - 2 cups each. Until they dry out quicker, I'm gonna water them less, but more often.

Pinching stems now my fingers are getting quite sticky!  , didn't expect that so early in flower! Starting to get hairy tops too!

Pictures at this stage don't really show the growth I see from day to day, so I'm going to go to 1 picture fest a week now. The light is now 7" from the tallest tops, soon I will have to raise the light a little. They're really enjoying the light mover - smaller shorter branches that were puttering along are catching up now. Apart from occasional leaf spotting from splashes of nute solutions the leaves look nice and green - no nute problems I can see, and the leaf tips are barely burnt on the oldest leaves - for the time being I'll hold the nute concentration in the 500ppm range.

How about some guesses at what I'll yield? With how they look now I'm aiming at 2 oz / plant average. I'd be happy as a pig in slop with 1/2 lb first grow :D

I'll put up a new set of pics over the weekend.

Be well folks! -MGJ

Funny guy! The basement is really a cramped place - that's the only place to put it until the rains are over. I barely have room to open the cab doors 90 degrees  Pretty funny to see a Barbi Jeep in the cab shots :biglaugh:

Thanks for stoppin by - and the props - love ya man.

Oh BTW - I almost forgot - a Vaportec 4000 came in today - yippee! I put it on the top of the cab directly above the air intake for the cabinet. Let it run a few hours - got rid of the smell in the basement and inside the cab - most excellent! Now I'm ready for the finish and the initial drying without odor worries.... Big thanks to BlueVelvet and Rez for helping me make the decision!

Day 17 Flower

Day 17 Flower

Hiya packn
You have great intuition - I was just coming on to do a quick report!

So far the Vaportek has been working great on setting 1. Today I noticed a bit of smell in the cab, so I increased it to 2. Have to admit it works pretty good - my basement doesn't smell like a basement any more

Day 17. The girls were last watered and fed yesterday. 2 of the plants had a small amount of yellowing at the edges of some of their more mature leaves - so I gave them some PB Bloom which has a little bit of N instead of the earth juice. The tallest colas are at 18-19" and the budsites are filling in. Still pinching 6-10 branches a day, doing that the canopy is pretty even - oh with the exception of 2 of the 3 gal girls. The two that I mangled roots transplanting are 5" shorter than the others - I raised them 5" to bring them even to the canopy. I'm keeping all the tops 5-9" from the light. These 2 are not going to be mega producers - I can see it already. If I get an ounce each off them I'll be happy.

I know there's controversy about light rails. If they don't contribute to increased yield, from where I stand the bud sites that were in partial shade before are now getting good illumination much of the time as the light moves back and forth, and are catching up in height. May be my imagination - don't have enough space for a double blind trial  :bigeye:

Thanks for poppin by packn!!!!!

Ok - finally figured out the outside site picture posting thing. Just a couple to post. The girls are drying out pretty quick now - had to water them again today. Quick group shot showing the canopy and the stilts on 2 of the 3 gal girls, and a bud shot - man sure are a lot of sparklies on an 18 day bud! :woohoo:

Day 22 Flower

Day 22 Flower

Hiya packn

Thanks man, I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Yup, the max height from what I remember ( stoner - of course I didn't write it down ) is round about 4.5' height with the light mover, barely 5 without. I think I could easily run out of area as well - I can see if I lst'ed these babies another couple of weeks to get the canopy up to 1-1.5' before flower I think they'd be very crowded horizontally by now. That's more than ok by me, if I can fill the cab with 4 plants just makes it easier for me to take care of them.

Although it does cramp my choices for the next grow. I have 2 tw mothers vegin away - since both are very healthy I'm thinking of flowering the 2nd one next round in July - by that time she'll be vegin roughly 11 weeks. I have a few morning star clones I'm trying to get off the one I salvaged from my clone assasination attempt in Feb - I figure 2 of those will probably be ready in time. I was thinking of also germing 4 Amnesia99 and 4 Lifesaver, but I'm now thinking I better be a bit more conservative my 2nd grow and go for height and width. So 3-4 plants and let 'em go a bit taller before flipping to flower. Following grow will be LS and A99 from seed - 2 girls each should be a good fit for the cab if lst'ed I think.

Took a few pics today - group and bud shots since I can't move 'em around as easy right now. It's day 22 and they're really popping trichomes now. The last bud shot was shot thru a 5x plastic lens from RS...

Front and side shots of the whole enchilada :yummy:

Sample buds:yoinks:

Only 3+ weeks to go :woohoo:

Thanks! I'm so happy, never thought I'd have such frosty ladies first grow! You're right - I can't wait - better tie my hands behind my back!!!

Hiya Leeroy  Thanks very much man! Takes me a few tries - I punch the macro button and get close. 2/3 aren't in good focus, so I just snap a few to get one or 2 good ones.

Thanks for stoppin in folks! :friends:

Hiya bartender!
Thanks for stoppin in and the compliment!

Here's a picture of the outside air intake box on the right side of my cab, and the inside opening where it goes into the cab.

I'm outa the house right now, I'll post the measurements I used when I get back home. Basically I figured 3x the area of the 6" exhaust pipe should do it ( 84 sq in ), and then sized the openings. I also put in 2 horizontal baffles using 1x1" lumber - one on the outside cab wall at the level of the lower filter edge, and one on the inner intake box wall at the level of the horizontal caulked seam below the filter. Spray painted the whole inside flat black - Krylon Ultra Flat Black spray paint. Between the air filters, the baffles and the long vertical run of the box I get no light.

Cost - stoner me  - I bought the 2x4s and plywood last August, wasn't done til Feb  , don't remember how much the wood cost. Tip on the plywood, get 5 ply. The 3 ply stuff is too flimsy. I used some on the back wall of the cab, and had to heavily reinforce it with 2x4s.

I'll be back later with some numbers, any other questions you have I'll be happy to answer best I can!
