Hiya GMT
What a coincidence - we were in sync! And how was your smoky girl - did you test smoke some smoky?

Hiya Major
ROTFL . Thanks for the compliment my friend! I don't know, you have a pretty full plate too. I'll tell ya - if I was 5 years younger and I had an extra 2 sq feet of veg space I'd do 2 more strains. I now understand the dreaded new testament quote I heard way to many times growing up "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.".:biglaugh:

Hiya BF
Until now I chopped all males mercilessly. However I would really like to have a squat G99 male and SB male for making seed. Especially the G99 male - both the cindy and g13 are such great breeding strains and I believe a male would contribute beneficial dominant traits. I already have G99 male cuts rooting so hopefully one of them will take. All other males will get axed.

Hiya d-dub
So happy you paid a visit to my garden! Let me orient you. Garlic and Keefhead are in the cushy easy chairs - those long tubes in their hands are going to a shop vac I converted to a vaporizer. The table in the back has some canna snickerdoodles and double afgooey banana bread and some Trainwreck Chai Tea. Help yourself - there's an open recliner just waiting for ya! :joint:

On the sourbubble - these are the BX1 seeds so the short sour pheno is a bit more rare than with your bx3 seeds, but I was lucky to get one. Male or female I'm going to keep it, hoping it's a girl. If the taller bubblegum phenos are female I'll flower them out for bud but won't keep extras. Actually I think that beside the sb the interesting plants for this show will be the G99 - they already look uniformly stellar in veg - and the branchy pheno of the powerskunk. Those I believe will put on a very nice snow show. :yummy:

:yoinks: Major! I'm envious of the space you have! With that many to grow out odds are 10/10 you're going to find many first rate mother genetics!

Coupla plates? Looks to me like Major's got a whole buffet table. :yoinks:

dwtc - Here's the hose. Somebody wanna pass him the Garlic munchies? Oh, do try the snickerdoodles. Very nice.

Major, that's quite some grow you got going there. I hope you post some pics of them all, but especially the Humboldt Skunk. Once in a while the clubs will sell something with the name humbolt in it that brings me back a few decades, but it just ain't the same. Maybe old age has caused my memory bone to disremember. I'll be interested in your smoke report in a few months (6+).

Oh crap, it's that packn guy, talkin about bugs again..

Oh crap, it's that packn guy, talkin about bugs again..

Took awhile to get back..but yeah Sensizyme is what I ran out of 1st..B52 fert booster is the next most called for ingredient...
during the whole grow per the 2+ system..enzymes, bene fungus & bacteria play vital roles in a organic medium especially..
growth is vastly improved when the roots have workers to help them absorb nutes and beat up non-bene micros..
I must have read the article in Maximum Yield at least 5 times about this relationship..and the difference the benes make..
In the rain forests they have found massive colonies that have formed massive super highways of nutrient processing and transfer..some even extract N from the air..
The key is a high diversity count..the system fails with low diversity which is what you get with most compost & compost teas..
I seriously believe this is a very important piece of the puzzle..and will soon allow OMRI cert on a Org/hydro set-up for the food industry..

I wouldn't go on and on about these critters if I didn't believe they were the holy grail of plant growth..
the roles they play breaking down organic matter and delivering them promptly to the plant in a readily usable form..
for exchange in food from the plant..makes perfect sense to me..especially growing fast life-cycle annuals..we need that usable food yesterday..
Since I have started using Sensizyme, Piranha, Tarantula, with VooDoo Juice Colonizer
(CarboLoad is a good source of food for the colonies as well)..Tweaking the nutes has become a fading memory..The bugs know what to do.. :chin:

Maj.Pothead..or is it Maj.SquareFootage...all I can say is :yoinks:

Hiya d-dubya
Very glad you're making yourself at home. Gotta catch ya up and get ya amnesia-fied :biglaugh:

Hiya KH
I agree, Major is definitely in smorgasbord land :yummy: Glad you like the snickerdoodles - me too!

Hiya packn
I hear ya on the AH supplements. I gotta give simplification a good try, for beneficials I plan on giving them a once a month feed of brewed guano tea. At some point I want to figure a way to do hydro with a res or coco drip with a res and I'm leaning towards using an AH feed program...

Funny, the biggest effect on growth so far has been a mechanical change - potting up in graduated size pots. I was going right from 4-6" pots into 3+ gallon pots, and I have to say the veg growth is definitely slower not using graduated size pots. In the update pics, the lifesaver and trainwreck were in those 3 gallon pots for a couple months and they're just now in the 19-20" height range. I had actually hoped to start flowering them 3-4 weeks ago but waited until they got to height. The vegging seed plants, now in 8" pots and their 3rd transplant, have been vegging 47 days and are already in the 18-20" height range. So although it's a bit more labor intensive than I'd like, I'm definitely planning on another test run on the graduated pots and if they veg quickly again I'll be doing it from now on.

Hiya BF
Too funny man , no worries, visit whenever you need some company - always welcome...

Quick update:
Didn't drag the different strains out, saving my chops for transplant chores this week ( the 8" pots are drying out in 2-3 days now and starting to get yellowing of the lower leaves, time for bigger pots ).

Lifesaver - Trainwreck - Sensi Star - Day 2 flower

Sensi Star and Trainwreck have fully recovered with nice uniform green leaves, still dialing in lifesaver - she's gonna need some stronger feeds - I'm up to EC 1.6 in water and the drainage is coming out EC 1.1 and still a bit light in nitrogen, ginna feed her mostly veg nutes for the next couple weeks or until she looks like she's had enough. They were vegged 70+ days before flip to 12/12 and are all in the 20" height range waiting for a bit of stretch.

Golden Pineapple, G99, Powerskunk, SBBX1 day 47 veg

They're doing great, almost too great, they're really getting to height now. So far I'm impressed with graduated pot transplants. Most plants are starting to alternate nodes now, and the start of preflowers. Probably going to have to top them to control height, although I might be tempted to grab one of the G99 or PS take a couple clones and pop it in the cabinet to flower out.

Hope everyone had a great weekend - this was a family activity weekend me, and it was a good one.

Damn MGJ you really got stuff up and running now huh? Seems like you got a full plate with all the plants you got going here. How many different rooms do you have going? I know you have a 600w going in one but what do you for the rest as far as early veg stage and trying to find mums in such. Just trying to get a more in depth idea of your grow. Those plants are looking wonderful keep up the good work. I'd puff puff pass but it seems like you already got some crazy smoking devices over here to keep you plenty stoned. Stay safe -Chevy-

Hiya Sleepy!
Thanks much my friend! Now if they would just finish liftng their skirts and showing me what's what! :biglaugh:

Hiya BF!
Yeah, she's a bit of a fussy feeder. I'll take some closeup leaf shots tonight and post them. Your pics is how mine look as they start getting hungrier for N and Mg... How much are you feeding them now?

Hiya HC!
Thanks much my friend! Yeah the house is pretty full. I have 2 grow areas in a narrow unfinished basement. One is the flowering cab with the 600W hps - roughly 3'x4.5' 5' height, and the other is a vegging area 4'x5' 4' height with a 250W mh. Not too much height available in either place, but it's enough to do the job... yeah, plenty of crazy lung pumping smoke aids in the rumpus room :joint: :smoke: :bongsmi:

Looks like your plants are doing just great greeny: Nice healthy stalks, good nodal spacing, fan leaves are looking healthy......can't ask for much more....ok well if they could produce flowers right away that would kinda kewl..... but then again our lil plant would lose her prestige if she put out right away......no one wants to keep a girl that gives ya the good right away.......haha

Hiya Garlic
Thx my friend. They're doing better, keep it simple and a bit of observation and care. Lucky me!

Man, KH packed the vapor-vac with hash again? Make sure you take a huge assed lungfull to clear the lines!!! His hash makes for dense smoke! I definitely have to take a break and suck down a lungfull of that treat!

Garlic - I just gotta get you guys to play nice. Here, put this mold on your face... When I take it off I'll cast your own personal gas mask, won't fit without leaks on anyone elses face - but don't get a face lift or we'll have to take another mold!!! :biglaugh: Also brought in 3 king sized 500 thread count fluffy towels for you guys to wipe up yourselves :yoinks: On second thought, take 2 lungfulls of KH hash and you'll forget what galaxy you're on for a few hours... won't even notice the slobber... :chin:

Hiya 'moz
:biglaugh: Man, you got me rollin in laughin tears! Thx my friend, yes they're looking good now, need to transplant them up this week to keep them happy... Girl that puts out right away  - as long as they eventually put out :pointlaug How many dinner dates before I get some action

Your banter is always welcome 'moz - thread humor is good!

MGJ, you said a while back (#270) that using the graduated pots made for faster growth. I've heard this before. My question is, why? It seems that the roots would have more growing room, but seems taint so. Sorry, I just like to know the why of something as well as the what I should do.

Just a very wild guess, but could the confinement provide denser root areas, and more efficient absorbtion of the nutes? Nah, that's too wild...

Hey, this crazy gas mask don't seal around my beard. MGJ, looks like I'm gonna need one of them custom masks like Garlic got. I'm gettin' straight again. Gads, where's a bong fulla hash when ya need one?
