Do you use enzymes? If not, is it something you'd consider?

Not regularly -VT-. I use Cannazyme, with the bubble cloner every water change, or if I have to water a plant that's not dried out enough. I also give some when I transplant to help digest whatever root damage I cause.

I've tryed Hygrozyme, it works well, but I prefer Cannazyme, and it's a bit cheaper where I shop.

Do you use any enzymes? :chin:

In hydro I've always flushed with enzymes...actually i never feed without enzymes....I'm just wondering if it help...considering how enzymes work, coupled with the salty soil you got goin' on...just an errant thought

peace

Hiya -VT-
Thanks for the input - something else was going on - comin up...

Hiya BF
Thank the ganga gods you have such an easy time rooting! Congrats!

Ok, decided to get back to basics. All along, Sleepy's favorite motto - simpler is better - has been my guide to problem solving. So today I went to the 250w veg area and selected the plant with the least leaf markings and the one with the most. Pulled them from the pot - very rootbound!!! I transplanted them into the next size pot 9/27. They needed to be transplanted in less than 2 weeks. So ok, I can safely say I have more plants than I can handle this season... Next up, transplant all the plants in the veg area...

For soil I went back to basics. FFOF with 25% pearlite added. After mixing it up good I put 2 tbs of soil in an 8 oz cup and added water to half fill the cup. After letting it set, pH 6.4 EC .8 ppm 550. Can't blame the FFOF. So this transplanting no FFLW, no other additives just the soil and pearlite. They were all rootbound - all last transplanted between 9/26-27. I have 6 more in the cabinet but won't be able to get to them for a few days. We'll see how they all do.

Veg area is pretty full now even with the 6 plants in the cabinet. Hope some of them declare themselves soon so I can take cuts of some of the males and clear some out.

The high EC??? Unless I got a hot bag of OF or LW last batch, just don't know. :chin: But vigilance and time will provide an answer one way or another.

I use enzymes..AN Sensizym...the AN 2+ formula calls for more SZ than any other ingredient..just thought I would throw that out there..

Black Gold & FFOF..hmmm...bet that's one rich mix..I was gonna try out BG last year..I can't remember why I didn't..
I do remember it was full of worm castings and good stuff..but I balked for some reason..but you know me..I like the weaker soils..for more control from the bottles..If I remember I will pass it on.. :chin:

Either way I think you might be running kinda hot in the pot..but that's just at a glance..so don't write home about it..

Right on brother..just makin the rounds..

Very nice update MGJ

Is someone wearing garlic perfume in here...geesh...us vampires can't handle that much garlic.
Garlic ice cream!!!I love garlic, but that just doesn't sound right :yummy:

Looks like you got your hands full. Despite a few minor problems with nute sensitivities and general fussiness of inbred strains, untill you learn through experience exactly what each and every strain likes and how they like it, you will experience minor problems.
Obviously this is a time taking step that you are going through doing this many seeds and strains at the same time.

I think they look just fine for how much attention you're spreading with all those babies

You put in alot of effort on your grows and your time sharing your knowledge and experiences with us here on IC...I'm sure you'll be rewarded in return :ying:

Happy Thanksgiving eh! (I know it's not your Thanksgiver yet, but I thought I'd share the joy of the holiday!) :joint:

Hiya Packn!
Glad to see you got back from work and school! Man, if I was putting in hours like that I'd be asleep the rest of the time!

Yeah, I use cannazyme as Sensizyme isn't as easy to get locally. Really - more sensizyme than any other ingredient? Hmmmm :chin:

The Black Gold Potting Soil is OMRI organic and they don't mention any additional ferts or guanos being used. Both soil sure do look rich and fluffy though. I'm thinking the rising EC could partially be the organics in the FFOF as they break down and become available. GPB menitoned that eariler, and it makes more sense the more I think of it.

Thanks for stoppin by! Hope you can get your work hours down a bit soon...

Hiya TC!
Hey mate, howzit? Sensi Star - yes, I've wanted to grow some for a while too, and happened to see some clones at the club this summer. Already starting to smell frutiy in veg. Very different than grape / berry strains, but can't quite put my finger on it. Glad you were able to get some to grow out. It will be interesting to see how yours look compared to these, as I don't really know which pheno they are.

Hiya Sleepy!
Yeah man, I was ringing your bell... the simple is better bell...! Yeah, a bit busy for me, sure they'll do well even if they don't look their purtiest :dueling: With a fresh transplanting I should be good for another week+ before I need to pot them up again.

Hiya TML!
You still enjoying Indian Summer up North?

You're perspective is right on! I attained my primary aim though - which was to find my limit... :bat: :biglaugh:. I have a great group of plants to select moms from, this could keep me busy for a while if I want.

Thanks for the props my friend. Thanksgiving up by you already! Happy T-Day! What do you guys eat for T-Day meal?

Change my handle to locksmith......lol............that's some funny stuff greeny.......

Looks like you have a full plate here this go at mr locky.....i always think it is better to have more plants then you can handle vs less plants.....you can always cull the losers out and work with the others, or just give em away if there are too many.......

Regardless: your plants are lookin good even with the issues bud.....keep up the green yo!!!

take care

hey buddy reading this makes me wonder if thats where my problems started remember i also mixed FFOF n LW 50/50 and added 1 bags scotts perlite and 2tsp dolimite lime/gal soil. although i had my PH in veg 6.0 then droped to 5.8 for flower then problems started 1-1.5wk l8r hum. i should have been ok @ 5.8 PH

The Black Gold Potting Soil is OMRI organic
think i seen on the discovery channel this soil is made from the waste food from china town resturants in Frisco

MGJ back to basics and keeping it simple is the way every grow should be. I think we all forget that MJ is a weed and can grow in the wild.

I always catch myself over thinking everything I do. I'm always looking for some new found miracle cure for my plants. When in reality you hit the nail on the head :bashhead: get back to basics.

You're on the right track and I expect your grow to be turning around real soon.

It's odd but most people say that about our hollidays :D Well we only have 26 days holliday each year, but we do a LOT of overtime, and take that as leave in return rather than have it payd out. Much more fun and tax free :biglaugh:

Startin to freeze out overnight MGJ, I got the toque out on standby already :pointlaug
No snow yet though, so...that's a good sign
If I were growing outdoors, I'd say all plants should have been taken by last week.

Thanksgiving is exact same here, Turkey, that cranberry paste in the shape of a can :yummy: and pumpkin pie of course.
We just have it a month or so earlier cuz it gets colder here sooner. At least that's the logic I made out of it

I like Garlic's post ^
couldn't have put that string of words together better myself
I also like BF's post, let's see more pics too :joint:
