Move to Calif to grow medical bud *business idea* is it legit?

H

Habibi

where are all you people coming from?!

fuck whoever is responsible for that shit on msnbc

I plan to participate in the pipe dream myself. I'm planning ahead tho. The plan is to move to the SFsouthbay area next spring. In the meantime I will grow my 5 strains, learn how to perfect them in my method of growing, save up ~15k, and plan to cut everyone on price when I show up at a club with an elbow of each of my strains. Sour Diesel for 2.5k a bow please. Yes i'm sure you're happy with that price. Thank you and thanks for shopping makedadproud inc.

Yeah right!!! That's when you realize you undercut yourself and you didn't have enough to cover not just your start up costs, but also your cyclic and monthly overhead in addition to living expenses. (Assuming you plan on just growing for a living and not have any other means of income.)

Sucks ones pot gets legal we all better start growing FUNGHI. I am telling you, once everyone has access to them elite gems our prices will plummet.

growing the autoflowers, eh?
gonna make a hell of a living seaside with that kind of action going on.
hahaha you are special.

watch your step.
:noway:

oh, that's for a micro grow I'm working on. I don't really understand the hostility. I haven't asked any offensive questions, and I just asked for advice.

but please, enlighten me why someone shouldn't grow autoflowers in a confined space (1.2sq), since you brought it up.

----

Moving on.

I certainly never expected the plan to work flawlessly, nor did I expect it to be that simple. I do believe with a little luck, connections, and a hard work ethic anything's possible.

So I'm going to save up my pennies, and if the big break happens I'll be ready.

Since you are the one that sees autoflower as a cash cow - please explaine YOUR facination with anything that autoflowers - and why you woule benifit from such a plant.

I got 2 ak47's that autoflowered in my last pack and I know GOD DAMNED GOOD AND WELL I GOT RIPPED OFF!

I can grow a normal plant for fuckin YEARS and NEVER FLOWER - or flower every single one - just change the light schedual.

AND name one autoflower strain that kicks ass - maybe find some decent ones but nothing memorable.

I'd suggest ya learn to grow first then work on the business plan.

explaine, facination.

explain. fascination.

Fixed that for ya.

I didn't know I thought of an autoflower as a cash cow. I was simply using them to have a little fun, and try a micro grow.

Again, I don't understand the hostility. What's wrong with asking questions, and having dialog? Most Americans aren't "privileged" enough to have grown up in a state where marijuana isn't that big of a deal.

Since I only have "ONE" friend who has ever grown in California I thought I'd ask the advice of pros. Call me crazy, for trying to learn something I know nothing about.

YEAH, But in your rush to calm your anal retentive outburst - ya didn' bother to explaine WTF ya want autoflower plants for - or did ya forget?

Hostility?

Naaaaa - - but you start out with a question about commercial growing in cali land, and now your talking about a micro grow with autoflowers and acting like a 2 year old - " Don't yell at me" shit -- so it's kinda hard to keep up with your scatter brained thought pattern and appease your insecure and delicate nature.

and your annoying as hell - I'd prolly bitch slap you if you if we ever met. And no you wouldn't survive in cali land. You would be another short foot note on the evening news and bragging material for some wana-be gang banger. On the bright side, you may qualify (actually your heirs)for next years Darwin Awards!
Which is good for the rest of us, and the human gene pool in general.

Yes you can do it, but HECK anyone can try to do it in general and in theory.
Judging from your specific case.
Based on your skills/experience/knowledge that you seem to demonstrate on the mag.
Listening to your "loose" plan.

DONT DO IT..............................yet.

Get a few runs over 1-2k watts under your belt and re-examine your situation.
At this point in your game your learning curve is too high to come out to KALI and do what you would like to do.

You will suffer from alot of delusions you have about the "KALI".
You will also suffer from the delusions you have about growing the goods to match the numbers in your plan.
Your assumption about Cali going "legal" in a couple of months is enough to tell me where you are also about the political/legal aspect.
Its not as easy as you think.
And you do not seem to be prepared at this time.
Being that the viability of this endeavor will hinge on your ability to produce some decent flower.
If you fuck that up you will be screwed and the chances of you screwing up are correlated to your preparedness.

You need more prep and experience.
Nuff said.
There are many more things you need to consider.

Take your time and think it over wisely young grass hopper grower.

Peace and positive vibes.

Thanks for the advice IC. I seem to have ruffled a few feathers, and this thread is now getting off topic.

I appreciate the kind advice. I'm going to make a trip out, hang out with some friends, and see if I can't find a job. I agree that once established in the state it would be easier to start on a small scale, sell off what you don't need - if any -, make some connections, and enjoy California.

geek-i dont think most of the posters here are being that negative individually, but collectivelly i can see why you would feel ganged up on. trust me, californians are for the most part laid back and welcoming....and i dont think there is anything wrong with posing the question that you did....better to find out now ya know? and its important that it be pointed out its not as easy as it sounds...but if ya wanna come out here and join in the cali grow scene, come on out man! welcome. just make sure ya got a job lined up to hold ya over!

i never said it couldnt be done. its just not as easy as you might think....

no matter how i put it, it will still seem easy. you need alot of startup money. you need to get to know the medical scene in and out. you need to know what you can and cant get for what your growing. u need to know the scene is junk right now. u need to know what districts you should or shouldnt be growing in. You need to know housing isn't cheap at all here. i can go on for along time bro......

if you want to skip the struggle and let-downs, than you need is someone who is established already and can throw you right into the game head first. like me. i was serious when i said if you got something to offer, give me a call.......... come now if you want.

again,
why not move to a new medical state and setup?
save the cash than move to cali and enjoy life. seriously. im considering taking the move.

just to clarify - this state was already "espensive" before the markets went to poo.
now it is even moreso, and the availability of good paying jobs is alot less than it was last year. not saying don't do it, but you will be bummed if it don't work out, and that is what will probably happen.
