huntington beach has apts for under $1500 not right on the beach but some as low as $1,200 I'd never grow there though. Good luck. Greyskull's video link cracks me up.

I don't remember where that quote came from but I like it. Go to Cali. If you get your ass handed to you then go back home. If I wanted to do that I wouldn't listen to any negativity. People may confuse what they can do with what you can do.

Well, *%^$ it. Who cares about legality. Just move to hawaii and do the same thing illegally but in "paradise" and not just California.

Seriously though. Watch the laws, as new states change their laws to allow mmj and dispensaries, and move to whatever state changes the law first. You'll be able to start a dispensary before you have too much competition, make a lot of money and then choose to move should you want to.

I swear I'm surprised there is not an exodus from CA to CO right now if the biz is so hard there. ;

These dudes couldn't even make it a month before getting snitched on by the neighbors.

Police arrested two men and recovered about 732 marijuana plants in seven 30-gallon bags Friday from a single-story home in central Tracy.

Investigators served a search warrant at 865 Lawn Court late Friday afternoon. They immediately arrested Octavio Duarte, 39, of Stanislaus County, and the second suspect holed himself up inside the attic. Police called for backup and a K-9 unit and, after a brief standoff, took the second man — Alfredo Ruvalcaba, 26, of San Leandro — into custody shortly after 3 p.m.

Neighbors said the alleged marijuana growers moved in a couple of weeks ago. Investigators said the suspects had converted four rooms in the house into cannabis greenhouses.

“We weren’t quite sure how much there was at first, but it turned out to be pretty significant,” Tracy police Lt. Jeremy Watney said of the find.

Detectives pulled out several bags of young pot plants, grow lights and power supplies. They also found a uarter-ounce of crystal methamphetamine inside an empty Arizona Ice Tea can in Ruvalcaba’s car.

Ruvalcaba was booked at San Joaquin County jail on suspicion of transportation of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, cultivation of marijuana, theft of utilities, conspiracy and resisting arrest. Duarte was booked for cultivation of marijuana, theft of utilities, and conspiracy.

The game has gotten worse, yet for some reason, everyone is getting into it again, or for there first time. its insane. i remember i was getting 6g's a lb for bubba a few years ago! NOT ANY MORE! Either way, it's only me, so it would be a comfortable living.

Great advice in this post for sure...

I think many of us including myself see the "End Goal" even though the road MIGHT be long and full of twists and turns.

Either way, anything EXTRA pays some bills down, puts a smile on your girls face + why not....

Clubs around here have shit for meds, I think I will be able to bring plenty to the table once and if I want to. I might just skip the vending to clubs and go straight into a delivery service and allow others to sell me their warez for my delivery business. Maybe sell excess to clubs but who really knows.

I do find it funny how people think that since there are clubs and growers that there isn't enough room for everyone to make a piece of the action. Like there isn't a liquor store, gas station or store on every corner. They all find a way to make money just fine and for some reason I see a larger market for medical marijuana than corner shop bullshit.

Everyone talks about the saturated market, do something else, its already taken!

Odds are because they can't handle OR don't want the competition. Including those selling on the streets without cards. That has been their il/legal business for years odds are and now people are getting cards and doing it by the book which could piss some of the wrong types off a bit.

IF it becomes legal here in cali, and im not talking bout medical, im talking bout our number one agricultural product being decriminalized, there will be money to be made. but most of the folks who will be employed by cannabis will not be growing or selling. there will be a thousand cottage industries that will spring up because of the legal status. smart money is to come up with a business idea that will serve the cannabis industry....and get in at the top. if cali never has another grower move to this state-we will still have 100 times more growers then is needed to service a legal industry! haha. and IF it does go legit, believe me the money that will be generated will immediately motivate not only other states but the feds to move towards freedom and then it will not matter where you live. money talks, bullshit walks...i dont care what any politician claims to his/her constituents(?) when you miss the money train, reelection bids will wave goodbye.

rent for a house on the beach in california isn't gonna be cheap. neither is that electricity. if you're expecting 3-5 lbs a month then you're gonna need at least 3000-5000w of electricity (if you have your shit dialed in) plus another 2000w for your veg/clone/fans/ventilation/ac. electricity here can be as expensive as .4 per kwh.... and is all of that gonna be grown in one room or are you gonna need more? then there's more rent you have to pay...


i mean yeah it sounds like a great idea but it sounds like you have a LOT of planning to do and i hope you have a nice fat stack of cash saved up to pay for everything to get you started

I plan to participate in the pipe dream myself. I'm planning ahead tho. The plan is to move to the SFsouthbay area next spring. In the meantime I will grow my 5 strains, learn how to perfect them in my method of growing, save up ~15k, and plan to cut everyone on price when I show up at a club with an elbow of each of my strains.
