MotherLode Gardens 2016

usually

It ain't split, there's proof of people crushing it with the seed

Thats better.

using "it" and "pudding" splits it. its like you basically said proof is in the pudding 2x. makes the words mean nothing if you say what they mean at the same time you say them.

shcrews , do you remember if your f1 ancients had lots of red/purple stem in them .

i,m just looking through my ancient og f2 and couple other f2 made with the snow lotus , i,m noticing some red stem traits , thinking they may be snow lotus leaning pheno,s possibly .

or may totally be on the wrong track .

i've never seen red/purple stems on the Ancient OG or any other snow lotus crosses, always green. One exception is the Dream Lotus , all of them turned purple in the spring when they were young and exposed to extreme temperatures because of my greenhouse fail. However i'm 100% sure the purple stems on the Dream Lotus are a trait inherited from the Dj short blueberry, totally unrelated to the snow lotus lineage

i have read the the Snow Lotus influence can cause purple stems in its progeny but i've never seen that personally and idk what to think about that, considering how many ive grown

thought i,d ask , i,m a stickler for observations ..... so glad to get your input.

seeming that its in a few of the different f2 where the snow lotus was used , is likely they may lean heavily towards that side . could be interesting pheno ,s

more than likely you may come across the same findings of your ancient f2 , i,ll run a couple though see what turns up .

thanks

In the Ancient f2's, I found the red/purple stem phenos had buds like the Ancinet f1's, but were Snow lotus dominate (not the same terp profile as the f1's). I found the green stem Ancient f2's had buds like snow Lotus but with the citrus floral notes and high like the f1 I grew in 2015.

I did back cross the green stem f2's with a f1 Ancient male that has the compact branchy big flower profile.... It will be interesting to see what turns out from that....

I think you're correlating years of plants being grown with mineral deficiencies with their physical appearance.

A good example is blueberry - many people think it just makes red stems. It will make green stems and petioles all day. The problem with blueberry varieties is their metabolism. Some plants take up Ca and P better than others, other plants don't like to take up mn Zn cu...all plant issues are mineral imbalances

Same with weed strains. Grown side by side i have a dog waltz that will exhibit red stems when nothing else does. Literally have to foliar p acid/fulvic to get it green

well possibly could be cat , i wouldn't have thought so . they are healthy thriving seedlings . being fed P among other minerals .

, i rekon some strains have certain traits , and red stem trait in certain plants . they will prob grow out of it like most and be unnoticeable in few weeks . i am hoping its a early indicator for snow lotus pheno,s :) or atleast some sort of pheno that can be identified via that .

yeti is a strain i find plants pop up and the red stem remains through its whole growth .

sorry for all the editing its 4.30 am here and coffee hasn't kicked in
don't want to clog shcrews thread anyways ,

Don't be a farmer then. Nothing's permanent for a farmer

Just because you're feeding P doesn't mean it's getting innto the plant clearly if it's starting with red stems purple stems etc it's a nutrient issue. Look at nocas work with strawberry and blueberry and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Cat is right. If you don't believe him, take your red stem plants and foliar some P. Super simple.

Screws, you did an amazing job again this year. Glad you bought the better camera, shows off the goods better. Finish strong brother.
