I saw that photo. I like it. A friend told me about some greenhouse beds he saw that had multiple PVC lines with holes drilled. Thought that might be an economic alternative if you had an even grid of plants. I also had sections drying out and ended up just adding more sprayers.
Once this soil dries out, it takes a lot to wet it again, so I have to hose it down first and then position the sprayers right. Now they're getting clogged for some reason so I walk in endless circles while watering to make sure everything is spraying and throwing at the right distance.
Ahhh I understand. I just cut the mulch occasionally and keep the stakes high. The mulch distributes the water for me. I used buckwheat early on, then cut it all the way after it flowered (it's a P accumulator). You don't have any mulch huh? Without mulch it would be tough. The top of my soil never dries out.
It is working better on pots than mounds. The flat level pots have been working better. 4-6 sprayers for 7' pot. I'm using 3-4 sprayers now. Drip works awesome I just don't like the install time and cleaning repairing and storing it.
Great work Schrews! Have fun at Burning Man! Sorry for jamming your thread with my opinion while you're out.
