Allright I see what you mean, thanks GMT 'n Pack

Ok back from Holland, smoked some nice Santa Maria over the weekend, but that's another story :D

Bad news: Both Indoor Mixs showed definate balls on friday so we chopped em straight away :badday:

Good news is that now they're gone there's hardly any smell any more making me feel a lot safer :joint:

Everything else is fine, neither VBS or JH are showing any signs of hermies so I think I'm all clear a blokes now :woohoo:

They've grown loads again since friday, plain water today, next feed on wednesday.

Loads of hairs allready, the JH's leaves are getting even longer and thinner now which I'm pleased with, and the VBS are looking greener too rather than the od purply colour they were before :chin:

Next pics'll be up on tuesday :joint:

Evenin all and welcome to tonights show

Ok so quite a lot has happened over the last few days. The indoor mixes turned out to be blokes so were killed, the Vaportek has arrived 'n will be installed tonight, the silenced exhaust tubes for me fan are also here and will be but up along with the actual unit on friday.

On with the pics :joint:

First of all we have the usual group shot and the canopy. Canopy shot is getting difficult, can't quite get it all on but I guess you get the idea :biglaugh:

All of these next ones are of the VBS. They're going mad right now, sprouting bud sites 'n hairs all over the place :yoinks: :woohoo:

Sorry for the bad quality but we still haven't got a decent cam

These are of the JH. They're not showing so many hairs yet, seems to me like they've got a lot more growing planned and'll end up much taller then the VBS. The girls as such look great though, the leaves are much bigger comapred to the VBS and really thin :D :woohoo:

Well I must say that I'm quite pleased with what we have at the mo. Shame about loosing the other 2 but I'll know for next time to get more on the go from the start to avoid finnishing with so little plants. Though the size they'll be we should have enough bud to last us for a while anyway :D

I dunno about starting more to begin with, you could end up being over run. I'd just say start the next batch about 3 weeks before the end, then when you pull your girls out, you've only got a week or to to find out their sexes, and then you can cull/replant accordingly.
They look nice, but you could do with getting that mylar on order soon. You'll be amazed how much brighter the whole cab becomes.
I can't see your venting holes/gaps though, just looks like solid wooden sides from the pics.
Also, how hot is the wood directly above the light at the end of the 12 on. I'm concerned you may start a fire if it gets too hot. You could drop the light down a bit to reduce that prob, or cut a hole in the roof.

alex - coming along nicely  I agree with GMT's ^^^ comments.

An idea - rather than mount the light directly ot the wood, I'd put hooks into the ceiling and suspend it with chains. That way you keep it a bit furthur from the wood, and also have an easy way to alter the height of the light - which can come in very handy sometimes.

Like your fan platform - I use something similar

Morning GMT 'n MGJ

There's a vent hole behind the fan on the bottom left as intake, and tomorrow there'll be an exhaust on the top right. Like I said all of my piping has come so the cfm will be installed either tomorrow or friday. I've gotten myself a dimmer for the cfm too so I don't have to run it on full power all the time which'd probably suck the girls up ' out :biglaugh:

I should hopefully get the mylar on saturday. Like I said before it's a pain to find here and the only shop I've found that has it (I think) has opening hours that don't really fit with my working hours

The heat above the light at the end of the day is actually ok. I was surprised with that myself. The wood is fire retardent so should be ok. My missus was worried about that too though so I'll look into putting something above the light to shield the wood

Thanks Dr. D

I'm on the case with the mylar, it's just getting to the point where I've spent so much on this cab that the missus is getting a bit edgy as sonn as I mention the next investment :biglaugh: Should hopefully get it sorted this staurday though :joint:

Ok so here we are, time for some more pics :joint:

The VBS are going crazy, if it carrys on like this I think they'll yield much higher than the JH. I think the JH just might be late starters thoguh as they're still stretching, so full bloom should kick in maybee over the weekend :chin:

Anyways here goes, I'm really sorry about the colour of some pictures but like I've said countless times before, my camera's shite :biglaugh:

First we have the obligatury group shot, though it's tricky to see where the girls end, and the reflection on the mylar starts :D

These are VBS...

This is one of the JH. If you look closely you can see that the main stem has (after just topping once) has actually split into 3, rather than just 2 :woohoo:

The buds are slowly coming on the JH, but nothing like the VBS

Here's my fave bud shots, all of the 2 VBS ladys :canabis:

All in all I'm very happy with how they're coming along. I've popped em on some other pots to bring them closer to the light. The hight they're at now is still fine for heat, so I've decided to go for the 11ltr pots on all of them, as they'll still be a good 15cm lower than now in the new pots, and I don't think that they'll gain much more than 20cm of overall hight in final stretch.

I finally received the dimmer today so the proper fan will be in use as of tomorrow, I'll then put the Vapotek next to the air intake to ensure best distribution of the magic stuff :D

That's all folks :biglaugh:

nice work, alex!

how do you like the vaportek?

the manufacturer suggests mounting it as high as possible...is your intake at the top or bottom of your cabinet?

the plants look great, you are going to have a nice harvest!

Thanks for the props Sleepy

My intake is on the bottom left, out on top right. I was going to fit the Vaportek on the top left but I think I'd get a more efficient mix with the air if I mount it in the air intake, what do you think?? :chin:

Now you're talkin Alex! Strong work - cab is looking good.

All your plants are lookiing good, the VBS is sure ahead in bud development, but I'm sure the Jack just needs a little more time.

With the heights they are in the current pots, they are going to need the room of the larger pots to stretch their legs sooner than later. They are tall girls! You're gonna get some yield out of these.....

Aloha MGJ

Just read up some more in the Female Seeds section, it says that theire JH make it to about 1,50m so I should be allright for hight once we've transplanted. We're transplanting tomorrow as watering is getting to be a pain, at the moment we have to water every day as the pots don't hold more but the girls are well thirsty :biglaugh:

Nice, mylar makes a hell of a difference doesn't it. I'd be more inclined to have your vape near the outtake. You don't mind your plants smelling each other's B.O. it's when the air exits the cab, and the little old ladies in your building can smell them it's gonna cause probs.
