Looking good alex...I'd do exactly like GMT said with that fan...it's the best way to isolate the vibration..you could bring that light down lower..the heat is gonna go to the top either way...I cool the veg cab 175w Super MH with the outside-the-open-door with a vertical fan method..I have a cool hood on the 400w HPS with a 265 cfm Squirrel cage fan...at least 450 cfm would have been better..

Right on keep on rockin Alex :headbange

I have a 660m³/h fan I think that'll be more than enough :D Bit noisy but I've as good as soundproofed the cellar now so none of the grannys in the house get suspicious :biglaugh:

What about that flimsy cellar door, got a lock on it yet? light proofed the cellar door?
If ya get a male are you gonna jump straight in on the breeding side?

Cellar door has always had a lock on it just not light proof, done that 2 weeks ago though. Pretty much wrapped the whole door in old carpet which is not only light proof but also dampens the sound from the fan quite a lot :D

Don't think I'll get breeding yet. I want to check the whole thing out first before going crazy :biglaugh: To be honest I'd be surprized if I even get a male as the JH are femmed, and the VBS look like they are too from what I've read. The Indoor Mixes are all Indicas so I'm not that interested in carrying that on anyway. I'd love a sativa strain with really thin leaves, not sure which ones to go for though :chin: I have some of Rez's Apollo Mist for my next lot and am getting some of BOG's Sour Bubble, so will be busy for the next 6 months or so anyhow :biglaugh:

Hi Alex - man, you've come a long way! You have all winners among your choices - you can't go wrong! And - ahhh - Apollo Mist. I love your overhead shot - it is easier for me to imagine how a plant will grow out from the overhead shots, and you're gonna have some nice yielding girls from how they're looking. These girls are gonna be fun growin up!

Yea they're coming along nicely. The cab thing is taking longer than planned, but the costs need to be kept low as to various hollidays coming up :D Should be good once it's finnished though and last me a couple of years :joint:

With the Apollo Mists here now I'm itching to get them on the go though :D IT'll be hard waiting for this grow to finnish :biglaugh:

Ok folks, time for an update soon...

Switched to 12/12 on saturday and had our final transplant. They're in 4ltr pots now hope that'll last 'em. They seem to love them anyway, looked a lot better yesterday than they did in a long time. Think it's mainly due to better water supply now with more soil as (due to the high temos) they dried out within a day before.
I went for BOG's elevated potting method to give some more root room, pics will be up later today or tomorrow.

Ok on with the show :moon:

Pics were taken yesterday so that's day 4 of 12/12. They've grown loads since saturday, hights beeing between 50-54cm, I think that's mainly down to the bigger pots (ie more soil) holding more water. With the high temps in my cab I had a problem before with them drying out pritty much within 24 hours :yoinks: :badday: Problem seems sorted now though :joint:

First off we have the usual group and canopy shots...

This is one of the Jack Herers, there doing best IMO, best shape 'n growth.

Same plant but a lil closer, I really like the patterns it's growing in :canabis:

And this are the (I think!) fem pre flowers, what do you think??

OK, these 2 in the middle are the Indoor Mix's. I've decided to swap them over as they were smallest so far, and as far as i know indicas don't grow as tall as sativas so I though it's probably best.

Ok and here the same close up of this one, really fat leaves in comparison to the JH.

These are the VBS'. They were my faves but now they're a bit odd. They grow a bit wild and I'm not all sure what to make of them. I wonder what they'll turn out like in the end :chin:

And the close up...

The VBS have loads of little leaves and branches growing at the bottom though it's quite funny, none of the others have these, or not as many. There's some hairs there too..

All in all I think they're coming along nicely, hope it carrys on like this without any problems.
The fan's going in within the next few days, I've also ordered the Vaportek which should hopefully get here next week, although I wish I allready had it as the Indoor Mixes are starting to smell, and you can smell plants when you come down into the cellar. Luckily all our neighbours are over 60 and don't recognise the smell, but I'd feel safer if it didn't smell at all :biglaugh:

Ok everyone, hope you like the pics, let me know if there's anything not allright or if there's any other helpfull suggestions

You will be SOOO happy with the Vaportek. As for the neighbors - after your harvest comes in, give 'em each a canna cookie!!!

They're all looking good Alex, in particular I think you're gonna love the Jack Herer - man it's got some long assed leaves!

...the plants look awesome, alex!!

the only alteration i would suggest would be to paint the interior white.

keep doing what you are doing!! :woohoo:

yeah some white paint would help...the plants look good overall, they could still use some bigger pots tho. It's not going to kill your plants if you don't, but it will kill your yeild. what kinda nutes are you using?

PS...don't let smell be a problem. If you can smell your plants outside your cellar...ITS A PROBLEM. And if its smelling now...in 60 days you will be able to smell it from the road!! BE CAREFUL!!

sunnyside - alex is waiting for a Vaportek 4000 to arrive, it will nail the odor problem.

Good point on the pots - alex could you swing 15 to 20 liter pots for your best girls? Feed 'em well and they'll get rubenesque :yummy:

@ Mr Jeans....Really that big pots?? :yoinks: I thought these would last till the end :badday: We did buy some bigger ones aswell to see how it looked for size once at home but I thought theyd be too big as I defo want to avoid root rot :bat:
I'll keep an eye on them, might transplant again before going to Tenerife then :joint:

@ Sunnyside, the smell should be taken care of next week. I'm alternating on the feeding, one week it'll be Hesi TNT Complex + Dutch Formula Bloom, the other week it'll be Dutch formula Micro + grow + bloom. Plain water inbetween.

@ Sleepy thanks for the props mate  My VBS are a bit odd. Did u notice on yours that once they've gotten past a certain hight that they start sprouting loas of little leaves at the bottom???? Weeeeeeeird :chin:

Ah yea, the painting white thing is not going to happen, I hate paint :D I'm getting mylar once I have a minute, just on the road so much at the moment

EDIT: I just checked, they only do those pots up to 11ltrs. I'll get a couple, but I'm gonna be carefull with those as I don't want them to burn theire heads :bat:

Hi Alex
My final pots are 5 gallon ad 3.5 gallon, 3 each. The 5 gal girls definitely outproduced the 3.5 gal. I think with many strains going much smaller than this will affect your yield. The 11 liter should be good. Give it a run with 2 plants in the 11 L and the others in what you have.

Tenerife - man I'm jealous! Have a great time!

We've allready had 2 weeks in England and 1 week in Eurodisney this year :D But I think you recent vacation quite outdoes ours

I'll probably go for the 11s on all of em. I'll check the next 3 weeks and then see about it before the holl

I have a question about males though....I've just had a peek downstairs and it looks like one of the Indoor Mix' is a he :badday: There's tiny sacks forming I think, but I don't want to rush things.

How soon is there danger of pollen??? We're of to holland for the weekend tomorrow, am I allright to leave him till sunday to see if they really are balls or should I take him out?????

The others have changed loads overnight, there's loads of hairs :D I'm sooooooo amazed :D :woohoo: :yoinks: :woohoo: :D

You'll be fine for a week, then into danger zone for the next 2 weeks. Once 3 weeks have gone your whole crop will be seeded.

"I'll probably go for the 11s on all of em. I'll check the next 3 weeks and then see about it before the holl "

Are you a poker player Alex? Check, Check, Check, All-in.

Oh and dont forget that just because the pots are bigger, (although if you have the room it is better) you dont have to rasie the height of their heads so much, just so long as the roots can spread out. This will encourage branching.

Alex-F

Sorry for beeing dumb but I don't know what rasie means

I'm just worried about them getting too tall and burning theire heads :badday: Can't afford a cooltube at the mo as there's too many other things going on aswell, but I'll definately have one for the next grow :joint:

I think GMT ment raise the height of their heads...meaning you don't necessarily have to transplant high up in the new pot..as long as the roots have some room to spread out..
