my next set of plants that will hopefully live outside if the weather doesnt screw them up, and yes they look yellow but are far from it as you all should kno the lights will make them look yellow or a diff color when a pic is taken less your outside
The early C-99 girls are looking good, about 2 foot tall and bushey as hell.
Now I have about 45 seedlings that are just getting there 1st true leaves, the are inside under 400w HPS. The question I have is, can I put them on 12-12 till they show thier sex and then back on 18-6 to reveg before puting them outside. I sure would like to sex them before puting them outside. What do you guys and gals think?
you can put on 12/12 see sex and then move directly outside. It slows them down a bit why they go back into veg but will save you tons by not having males.
Hopefully I'll get to grow something outside this year. I got a nice spot picked out by my Grandmas out in the country. I'm thinking of planting something in late July so they stay short and start flowering right away.
I've got a handful of plants out under the midwest sun. The plants are growing along pretty good. The only problems I'm having are with the grasshoppers. Anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with those little bastards.
Try a little liquid seven dust, don't use the powder unless you want to have white plants that stand out even in the dark, be sure to reapply after a rain and about every two weeks. Stop applying when budding.
Grass hoppers are not a serious problem unless they build into a plague.
Once the plants are well established they will outgrow the minor damage from gh.
I often see a single gh on my plants, it's like they are defending their territory and keeping the plant to themselves.
Savon is an effective insecticide, but dosn't have much staying power. A couple years ago, buddy posted about a mixture of bran, molasses and Savon. Rolled into little balls pressed into a piece of string. Grass hoppers and other insects find the mixture irresistible and eat it first....
I don't have a grasshopper plague by any means. I'm just used to growing inside where bugs and such aren't something I have to deal with at all. Where can I get some Savon? It sounds like something worth giving a shot
Hi all, I have 5 WWXNYCD in 10" pots in my green house, one male showed 2 weeks ago but the other 4 havent showen any sign yet. If I put them under my 600w light in 12-12 will they show faster, and can I then take clones from them without any problems, Then I want to put them back outside to finnish.Hope you can understand this rambling..
THANKS MUCH
Changing the light cycle to flowering and then back to veg will stress the plants and will slow their growth. The best thing to do is take a cutting from each plant, number it, root it, and then put those under 12/12 to identify which are male and female. That way you aren't confusing and stressing the plant. You only have 5? Better guard those well, a lot can happen in the great outdoors. Good luck.
bought a new 7.1 mega pixel olympus digital camera today , gonna try to replant the plants again to see what the hell is up with the short growth spurt ect, hopefully more will come around and keep this on the first page again
also hope to be setting up a indoor small test grow or something jus incase my outdoors dont go so well this year
Wow 7.1! Should be seein some quality shots soon then. You are replanting your plants? Diggin them out of the ground and puttin them back in huh? If they're just in pots and aren't growin real well, maybe they're needing to be stuck in the ground so they get more moisture and legroom.
Planted 8 more beans yesterday. Soaked them for a couple hours and wetted the germination plot before planting. Also set up a wire fence this time. Glad i did because i saw an animal had dug up one of the seedlings i planted previously, after the seed was sown. There is another germination plot i have, by another couple North Jamaican plots, that hasn't been checked on for over a week or 2. With this rain we've been getting im sure a few have came up.
pipe theyve been in the ground since april 15th or 16th and havnt grown much since then and seem to be really slow and its starting to bug me so when i get the time off tuesday or wednesday next week me and my bro will dig them up fill the hole up with more dirt ( lots of rain washed away some ) and then replant them hopefully to see them shoot up really quick as if they dont im SOL on the outdoor season
yes 7.1 megapixels ought to shoot something great if i can get something great to shoot this year
That isn't all that early, so they shouldn't have gone into flowering and reverted or anything. How much sunlight are they getting? How large are the leaves that they have?
Do they look like this?
erm pipe theyre bigger then that, they vary in size and stuff the site is awesome dude, you remember my big plants last year in the ground same exact spot and location but much bigger hole
im guessing between mites, frost, rain and all that its stressed them and slowed there growth but should soon be taking off for the sky once i replant em to see the root system, and i guess it would help to snap some photos of them but ive been working 60 to 80 hours a week at work and dont got much time to look at em in the day but they do smell really good
And a Female Seeds C99 which was dug up by some animal, and completley
seperated from it's roots. except a few maybe an inch long. All I could do was put it back in the dirt.
That was about 4 days ago, and here it is today. Does any one think it has a chance? Dosen't look to good, lol.
Your plants look great but the one in the last image is wilted. Notice the leaves, they are fully wilted to conserve moisture. Once it gets some water, it will straighten right back up.
