Loudog, the best pic in your paint strainer bubble gallery is the champagne flute full of wet bubble. Looked like an oz of hash there, at least...

What's up midwesterners. I have a question for you guys, let's see if someone can help.

I'm currently visiting the midwest region for a bit. I don't live here, but I am beginning to think about it more & more, the more I visit. Well anyhow, I was wondering which state in the midwest is the most grower friendly. Who has the best MJ laws whether they are medical or not?

West coast is pretty cool, but way overcrowded & expensive. I've been thinking somewhere other than California out in the west coast would also be a good place to live, but since I'm enjoying my stay in the midwest so far, it might not be a bad idea to actually move & live here in this region.

I'd just like to know from others experiences if it is worth it moving here to the midwest? Who has the most herb friendly laws medical or not? Thanks to those who can respond to this question with good info. Peace & pot ya'll! :smokey: :smoke out:

I can only speak on KS, but the laws are pretty bad here, that being said, I've grown the best weed I have ever grown here, and don't plan on returning to CA period..fuck the bullshit MMJ laws, toothless, paper tigers, I'll take my chances out here, not to mention mediocre shit here is held up as if it's the best weed ever...if you sell...I don't, but my buddies are always amazed w/ my weed, I often hear it's the best weed they have ever had, I just smile, little do they know I only share the shit that I really don't care for...the other night I actually smoked out a handful of folks on my good shit, instantly killed the party everyone went home high as fuck, one girl says, "uh...I think...that was a...really good weed...." LMFAO!

Michigan has mmj, and I believe they even have dispensaries.
Other than that, i don't know if one midwest state is better than another. Maybe a more urban area would be more lenient than a suburban area, in a worst case scenario situation, but as always, the best plan is to stay under the radar in the first place.

Just to put it out there fellers....I may be offline for a bit. I have some heavy shit going on in my personal life right now that is totally unrelated to my growing. I'm NOT in any security-threatening situation. Just personal shit that has to be resolved that cannot go on any longer.

So peace out until I see y'all again. Hopefully within a few days. But at this point.....I really can't be sure.

for medi... only have mi for the option... and certain places here are much better than others... certain counties are cool, e.g., wayne & washtenaw, and certain cities are cool, e.g., a2/ypsi, dearborn. several places to avoid like oakland county, though they have havens up there too. can only really speak for the se corner... and 'cool' means that they have reg's on the books or friendly judges or just other more important shit than to hassle the weed. but the state itself is trying to pull back the mmj, no doubt. still a battlefield... still have falling soldiers.

nice proximity tho... central to all the other non-medi areas...

i personally would want to live west coast tho (this is my second stint in the mw)... just a different mindset & type of people. but it's not so bad out here... weather sucks balls for growing tho... like how the hell do you get lower 30's and mid-80's for rh? and then 90 & still mid-80's for rh? this state is made of mold... scared to open my door... lol. have had to do extra work to keep the environment under control... not so bad, just more fucking money...

I grew out some SDxOGkush given out by an icmagger, forgot what his name was, but he used to give out his crosses openly on icmag, he had a special relationship with the mods so they let him do this. So that sdog was like headband, which is also Sour Diesel x Og kush, although who knows if it will turn out anything like Reserva's cross. It was good smoke, not a very vigorous grower if i remember correctly, and I no longer have the cut.

The grapegod, which is grapefruitxgodbud, sounds like an interesting cross, don't think i've tried either of those strains. Any sativa dom x indica dom strain intrigues me, you can get the best of both worlds (quick finishing, strong head high).

Checked out Next Gen's website, they're a canadian company, unaffiliated with icmag.
They carry some other breeder's lines, Taylored Genetics and Elite Seeds, both of whom seem to offer mostly feminized seeds.
All of their offerings sound like they have a lot of potential, but as is true with most cultivators: 'so many seeds, so little time'.

Pic of the flowering room. 1K HPS hung vertically, with 8 plants around it. Been averaging 3-4 oz per plant in this system, which is my best so far...

Nice shots, IE. What strain is the finished nug?

I didn't even realize that was a paint can he was holding up. Most people hold up beer bottles. Looks like JBG has .1 gram of finger hash under his nails. Or maybe that's just Fox Farm Ocean Forest...
You gotta love those Hydrofarm sockets, although I'm not sure they were meant to be hung vertically. I see you're rocking 2x600's. Is one MH and one HPS?

Looks like you're still getting some pretty good yields, Lou, at least 1g/w i bet. More wattage means more heat, anyway, and possible light burn.

Anyway, happy 4/20, Midwest.
Although, for most growers, every day is 4/20, if you want it to be.
