Got this 120 site ez cloner from a friend some time ago, been trying to dial it in ever since. Finally got it to root clones. Used a pump on a 1min on 3 min off timer, some Dutchmaster Zone (copper based fungicide, to keep nasties from the res) and some rooting hormone to finally get roots after 9 days.

ive been mulling over getting an ezcloner

i run a DIY copy of it atm, works exacatly the same, but my collars dont line up straight so sometimes its a pain in the ass to label the different cuts i have in it

Right on Bababooey, I know what a pain those things can be to get dialed in. Congrats on some fresh, clean, FAST roots!

Lots of good pics on here as usual, except I do question one persons pics as being there plants.

Bababooey I get great results with just plain RO/Distilled water in my cloner, roots in 7-10 days every time, EZcloners are a pain in the ass I think, to much to break down and ruin your cuts, just my 2¢ on cloners. and hormones are another area I feel strongly about, mostly due to reports of what the chems (hormones) do to the actual DNA of plants during the rooting stage and especially with seed producing plants, again just my 2¢, I'm a commercial guy so I realize that you guys and me are in different boats so to speak, my grow life is actually very simplified compared to growing a bunch of different strains at once, but I did do the variety thing decades ago and recommend to you guys to just grow out one type at a time, study it, watch it, and reap a whole harvest of the same strain, definitely makes growing allot easier overall seriously.

And now for something completely the same as I always post, except I did get my digital ballasts.

I think Maximo said he uses Dynagro Grow. No Bloom, even for flowering? Im switching off between Dynagro All Pro and Maxibloom, they both work well, although the Maxi leaves a red brown residue in my res.
I'm glad i finally got this sucker working, used the DM Zone the first run, which yielded 10% cloning success, then tried other methods, then upgraded my pump and got the 1on/3off timer, then went back to using the Zone, and now roots. The Zone also was one of the necessary elements to successful cloning in my aerogarden. I used chlorine, but that didnt work, but maybe that was when i lacked one of the other improvements. I didnt keep good notes, unfortunately.
There's a bunch of different ways to clone, almost all of them much cheaper than buying an ez cloner. But this thing is well made, the plastic is strong and well-fitted. Is it worth $300+? If you get it dialed in, and can make theoretically 120 clones every 2 weeks, that beats buying rapid rooters by the hundreds or thousands. It's overkill for my needs but it is nice to have.

Whats this with rooting hormones affecting the DNA of plants?
