Got hit pretty hard with mold. Buds are more than half way through flowering and the last few days have been super humid with thunderstorms. If they can make it another 2-3, weeks, maybe I can harvest a few ounces. It is what it is, though and I'm really not upset. I've got more than enough bud.

This has me wondering though. I just got done with a book about the Brotherhood of Eternal Love and it mentioned people were growing Afghan landraces in humid Hawaii during the 70's. How the hell is that possible?

Bad weather rolling in for tomorrow and Saturday.

I had bad luck with PM and bud rot to a lesser extent the last few seasons.

I think the biggest issue is outdoor just started really getting much bigger here since legalization and everyone wants to grow indoor strains outside.

If I was going to do outdoor again here I'd look for Canadian outdoor strains that have been acclimated to cooler and wetter climates.

Many of these new strains are weak indoor strains that have been acclimated to perfect indoor environments.

Y'all need to start breeding your most successful outdoor plants and acclimate plants and strains to this zone.

I just took a power vape but I think one of the breeders on the breeder forum breeds at higher latitudes. I cannot remember which one it is though. Hopefully one of the guys with better memory remembers.

Definitely good advice, but I've had problems with bud rot/PM around here even with hardy strains.. First year of legalization I lost of my whole crop of Freezeland (not Friesland) to bud rot. And this year I'm having the same problem with Erdpurt. Those Himalayan genetics last year though, we had to worst end of season weather imaginable, rain, wind, you name it, and not a lick of mold. Now those are some hardy genetics. I'm trying to think of a good strain to cross them with.

I hear ya 100% that's why I skipped outdoor this year and just did indoor instead.

Last year I had some huge beautiful chem 91 hybrids in the greenhouse and thru August they were perfect but September they looked like they were snowed on because they had so much PM.

Oddly enough the best strain I've had outdoor is Barney's grinspoon which is a sativa Dom haze like plant that finishes in 11 weeks, ran it 2 or 3 seasons and I can come out just as good as indoor with a good season.

Yup I took a season off a while back, then got pulled back in lol. Theres just something that's so great about growing trees outside that you don't get indoors. My favorite part of the day is strolling out back in the evening, just to check on the ladies.

Doesn't Grinspoon have a very open structure? I can see why it would take well to the outdoors. Never smoked it myself, but remember seeing pictures and taking note of its odd appearance.

Today was the first day in awhile that was windy enough to repeatedly knock over some of my plants, and the grasshoppers were waiting to pounce, which kept me a little busy throughout the day.

I've got one weird one. It's much lighter color green than anything I've ever seen. The new growth on it always looks mutant and twisted. It's about 6 feet tall and bushy. Been like this a while. Any ideas?

Not a mold. Just the leaf turns a color and dries up. just on one branch at this point. I cut it all out but it seems to keep on spreading.

That's what it looks like.

Maybe good idea to do some trimming.

I have seen this exact thing on plants that were infected with pythium/fusarium. Un-infected plants with healthy roots did not have these browning leaf spots.
