stardog. looking good I've had problems when popping a couple GG4 crosses germ rates always seem poor IME. Also what did you originally cross the SFV to before you backcrossed her a couple times?

Cannaloupe Haze x Hash plant, my first time growing this cut out guess she is an oldie cut but damn feeling like she might hold her own against all this newer age genetic.

Here is an orange cookies from seed she looks pretty but is a tease I just like how she fades out with the yellow and purple. Still can't find me a cookies cut I want to keep around and grow consisently I may just give up with those genetics all together been nothing but a waste of my time. Guess I was just born a dog man

I used the original F1 pollen from Kanga and Nevils Early Mullumbimby x Skunk Basic 5 to make the original cross to the SFV. I went through an interesting series of interactions to find that stuff. It wasn't that hard to pickup, it was what happened after... The Mullum stuff kicks the **** out of most other hazey stuff in my most humble opinion.
Which Hashplant did you use for that hybrid?Lots of the older stuff kicks just as much ass as the newer, no doubt!

Stardog, feel like I remember you saying that was the cross my mistake if I've asked on more than one occasion. I didn't make the cross myself it was given to me as a clone so I can't be sure on the hash plant background. Not much other info on it other than its an older cut and I assume breed by someone back in the day before all this legal growing or came from Dna seeds because I feel like I remember them breeding a bunch with the cannaloupe haze. Anyways I'll be smoking on some in a couple weeks I'll be sure to throw up a couple dry flower pics.

Otto if I could count the times I've asked the same question twice or repeated myself multiple times, well the number would be staggering. This is the 3x3 closet I've been running scrog nets in for awhile now. This is my first run with this particular clone and once it hit the net and I started tying it up it just started growing out of control. I lolipopped it, defoliated it, fimmed the branches but she wouldn't stop. So the tops are closer to the overhead lamp than normal but seem to be alright with it. I added a 2x2 T5 with new Hortilux Power veg bulbs with mixed spectrum but mostly reds. The clone is from seeds I ran of LIOS BX x Skunk Basic 5, something like that!

I'll be back in state for the foreseeable future, arriving this fall. Wondering what the consensus is on getting a med card to protect myself for growing some plants? Would love to get caught up on the attitude towards med growers, how difficult is it to get a rec, etc etc...

Hope the heat waves are all passed by the time I'm back so I can get the garden setup right away

Highlighter it was the males that made that batch of Nevils magic. I found one keeper female which oddly enough finished in just past 80 days. I'm pretty sure I gave you some of it but not 100% sure. It was great smoke, smelly, hazy all that but couldn't hold a candle to what Kanga and Nevil put together. Some of the hybrids I made with the cuts I had at the time were some of the most massive, high yielding plants I've ever grown. Dominican Green made his "asteroid" with the same pollen.
Well then why don't I just sit back and grow those all the time right? Everybody here knows how the market feels about haze. Most of us love it. We love Oaxacan sativa etc. They like Blueberry, diesel, GG#4 and OG.
Budheavy, it's pretty easy to obtain a med card esp if you have certain conditions. I'm batshit crazy so they give me one right away. Many people just don't want to be on "the list". I totally understand that. The way I look at it is well this is Massachusetts, one of the freest states in the country, makes Colorado look like a prison camp. I've been to Colorado twice since legalization. Last winter the skiing was beat down so we went to about 7 or 8 dispos. Couldn't find a decent flower at any of them and some were just plain old shwag, shit I sweep up and burn.
I had a friend from another site who's buddy ran a dispo I visited. Homeless wookies hanging out front (yes in CO winter!) and the absolute worst weed I'd ever bought in my life. I'm saying to myself, here you have this huge opportunity and you do this??They even had a dispo in Mancos out by Mesa Verde. That town has maybe 200 people, an old farming community. Same thing, same kinds of weed, 6 months old, dry as Death Valley. My kid had never seen Mexican schwag before. Mexican schwag is better than most dispo weed out there, at least the green kind we used to see in New Mexico. I could go on all night but I'll save the space on the server...

I have Nev Haze from Greenhouse. In seed form.
Have clones of 91ChemSKVA, GG#4, Underdog, and SSSDH.
Got a male SSSDH picked out to pollinate the GG#4.
Then Im'a take a male of GG#4 x SSSDH and pollinate the 91ChemSKVA.
Was wondering about the Nev Haze and if I should use that in the cross somewhere?
I want a 10 week max flowering strain. Does anyone with Nev Haze experience think it would be worth putting in this cross? Ive never grown it or smoked it before. Never smelled it or even seen it.

Does 91ChemSKVA x (GG#4 x SSSDH) sound like a winner winner chicken dinner?
Or should I make Nev Haze x (91ChemSKVA x (GG#4 x SSSDH)) ?
What would you rather buy and grow from a seed company out of these two?

As of Feb. you have to digitally register w/ the State which is something I just don't want to do. The State wants a cut of everything to do w/ MMJ.
That pot copter that was here 3 wks ago turned out to be a State Police operation!
Ma. Dept. of Rev. don't want anyone growing pot w/o getting taxed.

No Scrappy I meant Wookies who sleep in snow banks and wander around by the grocery stores the rest of the day begging or just plain wandering. The number of them was quite fascinating, esp in a spot that when I lived there was a cow pasture. I blame it on Wall Mart. Matter of fact I blame most everything on Wall Mart.
Overgrow I'd go with this one:91ChemSKVA x (GG#4 x SSSDH). The Nevs cross sounds good too, in my most humble experience the female will usually dominate the flower time but hoping for a 70 day finish you might find maybe 20% that would. That's just a guess as well but I have grown plenty of Nevs hybrids and none finished under 80 days. Most of the females were hay or plain old mediocre. The Nevs will boost the yield for sure though.
Highlighter that female was straight from the 2 packs of Nevs I bought from Seed Boutique, Shanti's packs.
People are really jaded on flowers these days, at least much more than a few yrs back. I've been making water hash every week and my older surfing friends are all over it but they've been all over and smoked all kinds of weed. Everybody loves the herb they can buy on the street at the Mexican Pipeline. It was pretty good back in the 90's but I haven't been back in a few. Sometimes when you're smoking in a scary place you can end up very high...

I think the technical term if they're homeless is sasquatch, but I don't know if they're the same breed or just distant cousins. Some can pass for human tho with a good set of clippers.

I've been running thru a few packs of SSH slowly over the last few years, TBH most of what I have found has been lack luster junk.
I know there is good stuff to be found because a pack I had in 2007 gave me some of the best plants I have ever had sadly I did not clone back then. I have not found anything equal to those in any of the packs I have bought since.

I've been running thru mango haze recently, MH produces better results but on average all of the plants take a very long time to finish, at 90 days they look half done.

My perfect plant would be haze smell, haze taste, haze look with a finishing time of 80 days or less. Anything I have found in SSH that finishes in a decent amount of time leans towards the NL and kind of smells like pee.

Im a little bit haze obsessed myself, I'd take a good sativa any day over a chem or OG not that I dont like them too, sativas and haze in particular just click with my brain chemistry.

i found 2 nice cuts from a pack of 11 f2's from shantis 97/98 cup winning stock. i had 9 females and 2 males. 4 of the females were more on the shorter bushy with massive lemony buds. 5 females were more on the nl/haze side of things with a spicey ammonia smell.

Frank, she's long gone. I had a few friends who kept her for longer than I did so one of their friends might have her.
I did want to clarify something quickly, it was most of the females from Shanti's packs that were hay not the hybrids I made with the males. Not to say they were the greatest thing ever but I did run some good ones. I found great plants in some Mango Haze F2's my buddy from France sent me. I also made a pile of F2's from those same 4 males as well as tons of hybrids of the keeper Nevs female and some of Kanga and Nevils Nevs 21 crosses.
It's a real crap shoot with the hazes but I've had better luck with F2's of the original stock than I did with the F1's. I do try in my small way to find superior cannabis. Finding a great one is like looking for Moby Dick...You'll end up eating your dead friends before it's over...

It's comforting to see someone else say this, at least now I don't feel like I just suck at growing them.

I swear I have thrown away more haze than I have smoked, it's definitely not a pursuit you take on if piles of $$ are the end goal.

I made a bunch of F2's with the one good SSH I found, maybe something better will be in those seeds.

I almost feel like Shanti might have changed SSH at some point, I feel like I had better results from the old yellow pack.

The first pack of SSH I bought from SB way back had some great plants. There were so many good ones it was hard to pick which one to run. A few years later the reviews started to go downhill. I've composted more haze over the years than I've kept. You have to watch out because those branches will root right in the pile, under a tarp. I had one root in the ashes of my fire pit. The ashes were very wet and the cut up plants were under some pizza boxes. Not the strangest thing I've ever seen but interesting. The one good thing about haze is it roots like wildfire.
