Spiritual one moment and a fistfight the next. You'd be so in-the-moment and exhilarated that thought would never enter your mind. Fishing can take you from one place to another so quickly; from a dream state fugue to an epic adrenaline rush, both experiences that are fleeting in our daily lives.
Therefore we fish.

Spiritual one moment and a fistfight the next.
....
Yeah RustyShcklfrd it just was another one of life's special momentsNice story OTW, my two best were in brackish waters. Never had one suprise me like that though, must of been a rush to remember.
.
I feel like thats the story of my life somedays. Maybe thats part of the zen in it, the microcosm.
Now to be a total buzz-kill, are any of you other Massholes as bummed as me with the Ma. Senators report on legalization here in the fall and their recommendation to outlaw home-cultivation?

I think we're all too entrenched for them to really have the resources to enforce anything.
I'd be interested to hear what others think....
Well, since you added the qualifier of "as bummed as me" I will have to say No. I've seen this coming for some time now, since they added the hardship clause to the MMJ bill. I didn't have any hope the state would do the sensible or rational thing, but rather the greedy and punitive thing. That's what they do. It sucks, don't get me wrong and I'm certainly pissed but I've been pissed for a long time about this shit so it's hard to get additionally worked up because that article has always seemed inevitable.
They don't want home-growing, they want a giant taxable market of customers neatly funneled to the state's hand picked winners. You know, free market capitalism.
This is why I never got a card or stuck my head out like some of these dab star teenyboppers on IG taking selfies with slabs thinking that a med card made them bulletproof. I didn't ask for permission when I started, didn't ask for it now and I don't intend on asking for it in the future. I've never tried to present my recreational use as something other than exactly that. I've never bragged about helping relatives and friends who are sick as if I only do it for the "patients". I do what I do because I choose to and I do not harm anyone in the process. That's all the justification I'll ever need.
That article was comical, though. You have to love the contempt government has for the people because they don't even attempt to disguise it anymore. That article is a clear illustration the state sees its citizens as children, and that they know better than we do. Go ahead, vote for a new law. We'll just temper your vote to show you how little we care about what you think.
All that being said, at no point in my lifetime has home growing been legal so ultimately nothing changes. Well, with one minor caveat; if you don't play by their rules now you better be good at staying underground. It isn't going to get easier for us, it's going to get harder. You won't just be a drug dealer now, you'll also be a tax dodger. Uncle Sam doesn't like that.
Once an outlaw, always an outlaw. Eat shit, senators.

Well said rasputin.
Some of you who have been on here a while know I got my MMJ Dr. certificate in '13 & '14, but once the State got it together to where they were ready to register MMJ patients last yr. I balked.
As of Feb '16, it's now electronic registration, which instills even more fear in my registering.
On the one hand, as a legal MMJ patient, I feel I'd be covering my ass, and most importantly, it gives my wife peace of mind knowing I'm legal.
On the other hand, I've been growing indoors for 30 yrs. now without a problem, and even tho I do my best to be a good citizen, kowtowing to these new laws just rubs me raw, treating grown-up's like children, and I want to just keep on keeping on, "breaking the law everyday".
I'm so on the fence right now as to what to do...
Ive said this from day 1.
I wont ever get my card. Its just Big Brother watching over us kids.
I like your post EastCoast. It tells it like it is. Go underground. Stay underground. Peek your head up only to water your guerilla grow outdoor plants and go back underground again.
