I think most hybrids that lean toward the sativa side do well in vert. Some nice stretch is essential to a successful vert, imo. Plus the diesels generally have little foliage, and the removal of large fan leaves dont seem to affect them much.
Not to mention the dank you are left with.
I am just getting into haze crosses. I'm sure they will do well in my setup
Ooooh make sure you take a pic of that one!!i've never seen an ECSD nugget the size of an ear of corn.. but it's gonna happen this round.
If I ever get a bigger location, I'd like to go up to 6oo's or 1k's, but it'd be way too much smoke for me! These 2 4oo's make more than enough smoke to keep me baked 24/7
Consistently sick...the way you rock out 800w makes some of us old school fuckers look bad. me, specifically.

Step In the Arena changed my life. Like the diesel don said, a bare bulb placed next to a diesel gets some added benefits you wouldn't normally find under a reflector.

Wow, dude, great job! Have you harvested yet? If so, what was your final weight? They looked amazing Marlo, you really have those 400s dialed in! Have you considered putting a plant in between the lamps, or is there no room? Keep it up and I will keep checking you out! Take care.

Hey OAM. I also thought that was a great idea and tried it on my 1st run with this setup. It worked well for the plant in the middle, but all the plants surrounding it suffered. Branches everywhere. It turned into a jungle quick and became counterproductive.

I learned a helluva lot in that grow. Those plants were outta control! It forced me to start experimenting with trimming and training.

That's plenty of space bro. 6x6 gives you lots of possibilities.very nice Marlo.. this tells me that I can manage 8 plants in 3 gal in a 6x6 space. I prolly won't use screens, but the 6x6 hopefully will allow me to do it.

Hell......He`s killin it now......When light increases in same sq ftg , yields don`t increase so much as the density and dankness of the nugs......
More light equals more heat with increased environmental control , but once dialed , there`s no tellin about yields............sky`s the limit.....

How much light are you planning to use?
I just found out today I'm going to have close to 7x7 x8' high. I want to stack a 1000 over a 400 bare but it will ultimately come down to ventilation & temps. I'll be building over the next week and testing

In not to many moons I'm doing a setup that will feature four 2.6 gallon (10liter) Air-pots with hydroton (clay) and flood-drippers in a 4x4 tent with a bare 600.
Million dollar question is: Do I do the screens or not?

I just ordered some airpots in 3 different sizes. Really excited to get these going.
I'm not sure how I'm gonna attach the screens to the big uns yet. Prolly just roll a fatty and figure it out.

I just posted these pics in my SFS thread and figured I'd post it here too.
This plant shows what I've been trying to achieve all along. Looks like I finally got it right. This is my best representation of what I was originally trying to do. Buds from top to bottom and front to back. The front to back is what has been the most difficult. 4oo's don't penetrate much. You can see on the side shot, there is nothing beyond the back of the screen. She's probly only 6" deep @ her deepest point. She doesn't spread side to side much so shading her neighbors isn't an issue.
Sometimes the screens,trimmin,training, and moving of plants seems like its too much work. Finally after 5 runs it looks like I got one right. Its definitely worth it to me.
The whole point in me growing vscrog is to get as much bud out of these 4oo's as possible. 10 of these bad bitches would crush 1g/w.

Extremely strong diesel smell comes from this girl now. It was a more complex smell a few weeks ago with some kushyness, but the diesel has completely taken over. The hardest nugs in the room and the least popcorn. Her stems are strong enough to hold up the golf balls with no droop. The perfect plant for my setup.
I zoomed in on some of these close ups and noticed -5% amber trichs and 25-30% cloudy. She's been on flush since day 49 and looks to be right on track for a day 70ish chop
She's probably the 6th largest plant out of 10 in the room, but will definitely be in the discussion for the best yeild. She takes trimming/training abuse like a champ.
SFS #4 62 DAYS
Thats it for today. Lights went off before I could get more.
I'll showcase SFS#2 tomorrow. She's no slouch either.

Amazing as usual Marlo, you put us 1k'ers to shame. The SFS looks awesome and yeah im sure with ten of those ladies you would kill 1GPW. Though im sure you will have a bountiful harvest despite the many varieties you have going at once
