what I'm wondering about now (about the fog) is this. Its a cold fog and since it is, is it too cold for the roots to have really have the explosive growth that I was looking for? Well I got some more research to do, I don't want to go out and buy some heaters for my buckets if that won't do the trick.

Well guys after some lite research it looks like I need to offset the cold fog with some heaters. If you want me to post the stuff I'm basing this decision on I can and will, just let me know.

I haven't brought my ppm above 700 yet. Will jump it up to 700 or 800 in a day or two last I checked it was at 570 at week five of flower maybe its the diff nute line. I am seeing how low I can keep it and still keep healthy plants. I am liking the iguana juice bloom I am using. I need to do is compare the two. But I don't know how organic the dynagro is where the iguana juice is all organic. Possibly going to try just ewc tea for my next run.

I tried cloning with a mister and did not have good results. Definitely want to see it get dialed in. I know people use them for growing so it can be done. I built a misting cloner unit from an old humidifier. Best cloning success so far am going to see about rebuilding it and using it again for clones. Very interested in seing how that heater helps.

Heyo! Yeah raz, post that shit up bro. Im interested in what can get that fogger working for ya.

Green, i did have a discussion about organics with cravin on the last grow. From what he tells me there is nothing truly organic about dynagro, but also said something about it being tuff to do "true organics." Ill see if i cant find the post. I also dont pretend to know what organics, at its core, even really means.

How did you make a humidifier into a mister? You got me curious now!

Ok bro here are the links, its alot of reading so I put those up instead of the copy-n-pasting I did to the word doc, (14 pages). Most of the info is about aeroponics (like what Green was talking about with that mister he built) I'm still trying to modify it to fit fogponics.

Back to the research board.

Man I don't know. I took some of my hydroton rocks from around the base of my babies to see if could see their roots and low and behold there they were. It looked like I had used cotton balls to germ the seeds in instead of the rapid rooters that I used. So I'm thinking that if I turn off the fog it will give the roots a chance to drop seeking water as the rocks start to dry out. It will touch and go making sure that they don't dry out and die as I try this experiment.

Well I do have them on a timer GT, its a cheap mechanical one, you know the ones that you can control in 30 min intervals. I had it on for 30 min's 4 times a day, its was still too much.

And you know MM, cotton balls in fluff and color, I guess you can say that it looks like a chia head in reverse.. Instead of the top growing like a chia head its like that in the root zone. Fine white fishbone roots everywhere around the rapid rooter. Its like I'm giving it what it wants and not forcing the roots to seek water and nutes because the fog is able to get everywhere it wants too. However, because its doing it like that the plant is not even trying to get the root mass that it needs to grow big.

That's the reason I'm gonna let the hydroton and rapid rooters go without the fog for a day or two, after it drys some I think that I'll go with 3 x 30 min a day fog feedings and see if that is enough to force the roots to seek water. If that doesn't work then I'll drop it to 2 feedings a day.

Sounds like you are on the right track to getting things dialed in :). It sounds as if you have healthy root growth too. That is a good start. Nice find on those articles. Good info there.

Heyo! Just got a few pics to put up. Everything is going great, and i did finally get everything hooked back up to city water, so i added one more dose of hydroguard. From here out im just gonna let the city water do its thing, and hopefully everything just makes a real smooth transition. I decided to keep the RO system, because it is nice when you need quick, un-chlorinated and ph perfect water for things like misting the leaves. Oh and i started seeing pistols after only 5 days. I switched to flower a week ago sunday, and the company is telling me this is a 9 week strain, so we will see if thats true. So march 21st will be the tentative date. Love how this shit still makes me feel like a kid in candy store, still get that giddy feeling when i think about the final product.

Gotta say im getting more sold everyday, on packing up and moving my show to colorado. At least I wouldnt have to worry bout cops. When i got medically retired from the Marines, it left a huge hole in my life, cause it was the only thing i was really ever trully good at. So now that ive found growing, its really the only thing i want to do, and that makes me happy. Finally finding that second calling, priceless.

Raz, you dig up anything on why youre gals were acting weird? Or get it fixed. I really like your idea, i like where your head is at.

Green, hows life in your corner of the world?

Whats good? Just putting up a few pics of the progress. Everything is going perfect so far, and feel like im getting some fast growth. It will be two weeks in 3 days (sunday), and im already seeing buds forming.

Im just wondering if I should do one more trim or just leave it. I think ill leave it, cause im not sure if buds will form in an area where the branch has been trimmed. Guess we will see.

I seemed to have timed the flip to 12/12 just right, because the tops are about 6 inches from my hood, which if feel is a good height.

Oh and I did throw those shitty LED's in, just to hopefully get a little light/spectrum on the undersides of the girls. Not sure if it will do shit or not.

Lookin good MM, I would let them go, it looks like you're getting good light penetration so the extra thinning shouldn't be needed. I've read somewhere that lighting from underneath doesn't benefit much so I'd put those LED's either as side lighting or up on the sides of your hid's.

HEYO! Just thought i would throw up a few pics from today, the 22nd day of flower. I gotta say, this system is a stoners wet dream... Im naturally a tinkerer, so theres more than a few days where i find myself standing downstairs asking myself, "what can i do?" And there aint SHIT to do! So its a blessing and a curse.

I also think i got a little over ambitious on the size of the girls. I went 6 weeks of veg and shouldnt have gone over 4 max. Holy shit... its looking like a jungle in there! I feel like i might have to go back to my cool tube to finish this run, just because ( as you can see in the first pic ) IM RUNNING OUTTA GOD DAMN ROOM! :)

Only other thing to note, is i went to 900 ppm from 800 yesterday. They seem to be some heavy feeders, they seem to be going through about 12 ppm everyday, and tons of water. So i couldnt be happier about where were at, so i think i saw that smoking lamp light up!

Raz, how are your girls coming since you reveged? I think I might reveg that BB dominant loner i got. Seems to be a decent pace ahead of the others, and also reveg the best of the others, and run 3 of each on the next run. I feel like i finally found some cool phenos and I dont have my clone cab up and running yet, so I think that will be the next task.

Those girls are looking awesome. I ran into a major ph drop and haven't quite figured out why. Ph dropped to under 5. Two of my plants died. All the leaves dropped and within 4 - 7 days I had to chop them. Those two also got root rot. I believe I got the root rot from lifting the plants to look at the roots. The two that died first had the largest root mass during veg. And lifting them two high broke some important root mass off. Then the ph dropped and I was locking out nutrients that it needed to have to stay healthy. I should have done a res change out when my ph got below 5.5 after dropping very steadily. Was hoping the system would stabilize again after switching nutrients. It never did. Flushed with spring water ph back up to 6.7 and holding. I am glad that your system is performing. Very good to see.

Im baaaaaack!

So i couldnt be happier with how everything is going. Now i know i said i was going to quit using hydroguard, but i decided to atleast use it up, and ill give it a try without on the next go around. Alot of that has to do with me being almost out of product from the last harvest, and really need this one to finish strong. Im up to around 1000ppm right now and they all seem to be liking it, i would like to push the ppms, just to see what they can handle, cause i feel like they could take more, but im 99% sure im going to run clippings from this run, on the next, so ill have a chance to push the ppms then.

I did a rez change on saturday, because the rez was getting a little gnarly. not sure exactly the growth is, prob bacteria would be my guess.

More pics next post

And heres the money shots...

Today is day 30 of flower, of 55. And for being so early, they are straight COATED in trichs! So I can only imagine what they will look like in another 25-30 days... Should be pretty epic! These girls remind me more of white widow, than white widow.

Day 34 Flower

Day 34 Flower

Hey again, update time. Im still in coast mode over here, everything is perfect. Starting to see some good growth and these girls are mass producing resin. Cant see it as well in these pics because i didnt use a flash, but went to a nikon dslr camera. So hopefully the pics will be even better now.

Everyone is doing well, especially my 1 purple stemmed pheno. That one is moving along faster than any of the others, and I feel like it will be my biggest producer. I plan on reveging that one for clones for the next run. And Ive been hoping at least one of the girls goes full on purple here in the next few weeks. For no other reason than I love purp weed!

One thing ive been going back and forth on since i started, is im not sure if i should start a flush 2 weeks before harvest. I feel like to do that properly you would need to have grown the strain before, instead of going by how long the site you got the seeds from tells you. Although I have done some looking into the finishing time of this strain, and everyone seems to be right around 60-75 days. Maybe ill give them a few day flush once i can see they are getting ready to be done, then try the 2 week flush next run. If anyone has input on this, id really appreciate it.

Anyway, heres the pics.
