Many Forest Gorillas vs Several Forest and Well Tended Plants

My dad didn't chill until he stopped drinking at 60. He still had a temper, but he was all bark by then and I could distract him with a chocolate bar and a pepsi. lol

16 brothers and 6 have adjacent farms. Typical big french Canadian Catholic families. They drive their tractors with a bottle of vodka or CC between their legs with Johnny Cash, George Jones and Tammy Wynette blasting in the cab. They're the most violent people I know with great lines like "I'll feed him a fucking brick" or "I'll grab my hammer and knockout all your teeth." lol.

Have always compared commercial fishing to farming. Exchange tractors for boat and plants for fish. Same community same temper!

lol. True.

On that topic, I have to visit one of them today to get my MOAB. It's a blend of Monopotassium & Monoammonium phosphate (MAP). It's about 8-48-32. I'll top dress with it to give flowering a shot in the arm.

Damn that’s a big family! Goes to show why you’ll need all the more weed to share hah.

Checked on a couple spots today.

20 in the newly cleared forest have been babysat, fed, watered and they're only 3 feet high. Struggling in fact. Surprising since it's untouched forest humus.

The others in a deer's den took a bit of damage. One split and one was slept on. It's healthy and now growing horizontal. The other 2 dozen are rockin' it.

your Dad sounds like quite the character, big families are great. not healthy for kids to grow up without a few brothers around to knock some sense it to you to make decent human beings.

have fun with the sifting, i guess youll smush the kief into rosin or?

I have a cousin who is an only child, but he spent the summers with us on the farm. We fixed him.
(up in the hay mow "Jump! We all did it!" lol).

Nope.
A prepress, then boil-in-bag for 4 minutes, then pressed into hash. But I won't get into pressing it until harvest is over. The majority of my customers are older and love their hash. I was thinking about squishing it, but it's no where near as popular as it is in the states. If I get a request, then maybe.

Nice plot there! Thanks for sharing! Plants all look healthy and some of those are huge! Do you need to flush with MAP? I guess you have experience using it. Sounds like it would give them quite a boost with 48 percent phosphorous!

Do you like the kief tumbler better than ice water hash? What kind of a tumbler do you have?

Bubble hash is so labor intensive and takes lots of time. My work bag needs replaced, so I'm considering my options. :smoke:

Thanks. I give them a boost then let them be. I let fall rains do the flushing.

You're right. Bubble is so much work. I made my own tumbler only because I'll be damned if I'm going to pay a retarded price for something so simple. I made a tumbler from two bicycle wheels, pvc to keep the wheels apart and true, and wrapped it in 100 micron Stainless Steel mesh. I use an old variable speed drill to turn it. I could only find 12"x48" mesh so it's not perfect because I had to mend them together to fit. You can get 48"x50' on ebay, but that's $500 and I'm a cheap fucker. lol. It looks a little hobo, but so does a bubble machine. I don't have time to mess around making bubble, or gently hand dry sifting tiny amounts like I'm on holiday and all the time in the world to kill. I have shit to do. So I turn it on and let it to it's thing while I do other stuff.

If you're making it for personal and don't have tons to do, I suggest you get Pail Filters. You can even jury rig a variable speed jigsaw to shake it up for you without having to do all the work. Hell, even your wife's vibrator layed flat on the screen will work. They have filters for 5 and 55 gallon pails and drums.

Or you can go for 12" Plankton Collectors on ebay. And they're stackable.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to have to get some of those! Thats a good idea putting a saws-all to it! My brother has one of those that's battery powered. Could use it remotely at the campsite. The only thing is, I will have to dry it out. I like bubblehash because it can be fresh wet plant material. I like to minimize the weight going on drying. I have that one plant with a lot of resin on the leaf bracts. It would make good hash. :smoke:

Thats cool seeing a crop doing that well in the corn! The guerilla gold 4 has some yellow but thats pretty norlmal. Thanks for sharing! Could you post a few pics of the tumbler made of bike tires and pvc? I have bike tires, screen, pvc, and a cordless drill. I may make one! :smoke:

Thanks. I don't plant between the rows. Most corn fields have the planting a little messed up in the corner. That's where I plant. Those spots usually have more sun because it's not so crowded and disguises the plants from the air. But you have to recon those site early so you can see them. Trying to find them when the corn is waist high is impossible.

(the yellow spot above are dead weeds after the spraying. It's a perfect spot. Big, open, and close to the road yet will be well hidden.)

I'll take a pic of the bumbler when I get home.

Oh yeah, a friend of mine had a 6 footer bagseed a few years ago in the corn field! That was a happy plant. Yours went over the top!

The threat of flyover surveillance here is kind of stomach churning. Looks like it would be hard to spot 3 isolated plants growing in the gap of a field though. Also, trying to grow as organic as possible. I guess the fertilizer and herbicide isn't noticeable in the final product? I like my medicine to be clean. I have a cool friend who farms our field, so its could be an option for me. Looking for to do a 2nd plot for next year. Don't grow in areas the seed didn't germinate because of poor drainage. Also don't plant where there's a little creek that forms in the field every year! I see those gaps though. Just waiting to be filled with our plants! :smoke:

Ah... ditch weed. we grew up on it. They can get huge. lol

Corn is sprayed when it's 6" high. I wait until it's 3 feet before I plant. I'll feed organic tea when I have time, otherwise I just let it go.

Corn is amazing in that it waters itself. The plants are always warmer than the night air. The cool air an hour or so before sunrise induces condensation on the leaves. I've walked out to my seed plot, through the corn to a creek, in the early morning and by the time I get back I was soaking wet. I couldn't get wetter jumping in the pool. And that's with clear skies overhead.

Nice shot of the early morning moon! Makes sense. They generally don't spray after june unless its specialty fungicide apps. Sounds like a good spot to grow! I remember walking through beans up to my chest getting to a plot. You get wet guerilla growing. Put a fan on those boots so you don't get fuzzy mold on the outside. Shoes clean them selves is what I hear. :smoke:
