Many Forest Gorillas vs Several Forest and Well Tended Plants

Went out with my STrimmer and a new bush blade. Full sun and room to walk around them now. A deer had bedded down and snapped a plant half way up. Not the way I would have topped it but...

I didn't top any because I don't want the extra work babysitting and wrapping trellis' on them. Golden rod and nettles are 6+ feet tall in that spot. It was an experimental spot that turned out nice. It'll be my biggest spot next year and try to stick 500 in there.

GG4 seed plot.
Hasn't rained in a week so they got 5 slow gallon feeding each.
I hate going in the morning because the dew on the corn gets me soaking wet in the first 20 feet. Seems like corn waters itself.
Still no sign of flower.

One of my GG4 crosses started flower 2wks or longer ago. But the same strain planted 3-5ft away hasn't really started. You got a beautiful tree there. You can get good sun if that field I bet??? That ladies gonna have some weight this fall

Hola Tycho

its the same here must of the stuff
have not started yet, its too hot to
flower.
I always thought that flower start
when you have a difference of more
then 10 degree difference between
night and day we nee cool nite for
flower.
However it will be like last yr where
the fall will be warm and long so
probably enough time to flower yet

As usual I've gotten obsessed with the start of flowering, especially because I had early males that produced pollen weeks earlier then it was needed. I'm going to start a thread in Outdoor Growing about it right now. But my findings were at a northern latitude it's rare to produce hairy clusters before August 25th. Males should be starting to flower right now, females one to two weeks later.

Plants there are doing great. I started pulling Nettles and wild Parsnip by hand and without gloves. I still get stung by the Nettles sometimes, but it only stings for about 4 hours instead of a whole day. Never brings gloves with me for some stupid reason. The wild Parsnip never affected me until the other day. I pulled up a couple dozen huge ones, and ended up with a few boils/blisters on the top of my hands. They're just going down now after 4 days. Next year I'm going to have to be more serious about it and dress appropriately with a suit and face shield when I'm clearing.

Luckily we don't have Giant Hogweed here like hoypare has to deal with. Well... we do but the Ministry of Environment sends out full eradication teams when someone finds one and the spot is monitored for years after that. Dangerous stuff.

ps: only my sativa have start flowering

I have a half dozen Malawi and so far no males showing. I might have to spray them too.

I have NL auto pollen, but I'm hesitant to pollinate them with it. I don't want to start a multi year project to stabilize them.

If needles grow that big there, cannabis will thrive in that soil...

Back on the nettles seems you built up tolerance :), have seen countrymen using it to alleviate arthritis, muscle pain etc, just by brushing them on the zone...

You know, I remember telling someone that Native Indians could have used it as an analgesic because the area gets numb and lasts for hours.

Ouch... wish you all the good luck!

If he start moving south... maybe drop by with a "casual" attitude to gain some info? I guess that's not inside your property?

No it isn't, but it's close. He cleared a couple hundred acres 2 years ago when the provincial government was handing out huge grants to farmers if they cleared land for farming. He didn't finish everything he wanted to. He has a couple fields that are partially finished cleared. The trees are gone, but the rows of felled trees are still there. Next step is to burn the wood. I thought he'd get to that before clearing more bush (mature trees) because the cost is significant.
