How are you guys removing the cob from fresh corn.does it need to dry or can I use it fresh. Do I need to use the whole cob For each cob. Does that make sense?
Hi, here is what I do with the corn cobs to remove the husks.
I get fresh corn cobs with the husks on from the grocery store, (when my plant is ready to harvest), they usually have them on sale, I got five for a dollar one time:
Then cut the bottom part of the core like this:
Then remove the husks one by one, SIDEWAYS, not like you'd peel a banana:
Then put the goodies in. Put as many as possible or 1 to 2 oz of buds:
Then squeeze them in your hand, roll them tight, with experience you will get better:
Choose the bigger husks, it takes one big husk to make one stuffed cob, I make three cobs out of the husks of one corncob. The inner husks of the corncob are smaller, for smaller cobs I guess..
The cobs can be tighter or looser like Tangwena suggested.
Give it a try and play with it. And yes, everyone here is cool, stick around, ok?
