Should be perfect in another 5 to 7 days after that slowly dry it but not totally dry. It will then be ready to smoke, but aging it in a vac bag or jar will greatly improve the high in a month or three. Looking very good at the moment you will not be disapointed, nice job my friend.

Hi Subrovka if it was mine I would wrap it back up vac seal it again and let it sweat another week at least, but getting there for sure and being Malawi getting dangerous as well. Sweating in a warm/hot location would speed up the cure significantly.
Tangwena

I sweated mine sitting on top of my cable box, which stays warm, but not too hot, and I think that helped the process.

If you guys want to get a fast sweat on, try putting the bagged up cob on top your reflector. I did that with my last few, and after 12 hours they sweated alot! Now, I dont put the cob directly on my reflector, its sitting on the bracket the reflector is attached to. Still gets very warm, and a very good sweat going on. Ive finally started getting the yellow dingy stain in the bags Tang has shown off lately.

Steady on Dave, not showing off! Tripping maybe (at the moment). Just joking my friend I am high as a kite and its only just started going up! I agree the warmth produces outstanding results the more members who post their results from different sweats/aging the faster we can all learn. It takes me years to do all these different techniques if we all pool our results we can nail this really quickly.
I have to get my next grow going quick. I just had some really old Mulanji cob and I am in bliss at the moment, love the world.

Does the speed of the sweat/process affect the end result? I will conduct a side-by-side test with my next harvest. It would seem that the slower the process, the smoother the effect.

Nev Haze cob 12 months plus aged

Nev Haze cob 12 months plus aged

Here are some pics of the surface of my Nev Haze cob I think its 18 months old but lets just say 12 months plus. When i tried this a month after its 3 weeks sweating, it was good but the stone was way to strong for me, not the high, but the stone overpowered the effect.
Now the stone has evaporated and doesn't exist! Its a very trippy energised high, if a little clumsy but nothing like it used to be.
I will be hanging on to this cob as its a nice change from the Ace gear I have. I gave most of this away to friends who all loved it, I can see why now.
You can see the resin is all caramel color not amber with this cure.

The caramel colored resin is definitely a good sign. Man, that is some good smoke you have there. So many possibilities.....

You are right i just wish I could smoke it and taste the smoke but my lungs would die these days. Still at least I can still chew it to get high. The day I have to stop that will suck big time ha ha.

Brown Panama cob

Brown Panama cob

Looks like something left in the oven too long, but this close up of the Brown Panama cob earlier in this thread. Shows the black, amber and caramel tones of the resin well. I predict this cob will be number one after ageing. The high is already very pronounced and will just get clearer with age.
It might look like shit to some folks but it will change your whole day in a couple of tokes I am sure.

Hello Tangwena, my idol.

I have read every single post in this thread at least 3 times (i went out and bought a vacuum sealer just for this).

I will do my first harvest in 5 years next weekend and i will harvest Critial Kush since my Ace malawi need another 4-6 weeks. I will try this method on the CK, see what happens, what i understand it can't be worse than jar curing...

I also read about vacuum, that mold need air to develop so you where right when you say "I think they need air to mold but i'm no scientist"....

Anyway.

First, corn pack and tie with some rope, plastic bag 24/48 hours to sweat, see moisture in the bag and feel a little wet on the corn.

Take them out and vacuum for ~1-2 weeks - should they at this time be placed in a hot place?

Take it out and dry a ~week, and then when almost dry but a little moist in center vacuum again at just let it be there for a couple of months, the longer the better... - Here is should be placed cold ... ?

my questions is then, if i want to give it away to some friends as a present i not think they want some moist cob, can i fully dry it before give it away? Or is it bad?

Is this cob also nice to vaporize?

Would regular buds just not tied in a corn cob have the same potency after if giving them the same cure just not pack them tight with rope? But let them sweat, vacuum, dry and vacuum again stored 6 months.....

Right now i not have any more questions.

peace...

Hi my riend good on you for giving it a go, yes you can fully dry it, if you are going to use it all or gift it to your friends no problem. Also you can sweat the buds without binding them up, I do this with some of my buds, it works very well loose some people prefer it loose. Its the sweating that cures the buds, just keep the vacuum bag in a warm place while it is sweating.
Good luck, let us know how you go, some pictures would be good to, and a smoke report, you can vape, smoke, chew or cook or extract the resin with bho anything you would normaly do is ok.Tangwena

..my malawi cob is curing now since about one week in a vac bag, after sweat-curing it in the heat of my LED panel for several days. i semi dried it then and put it again in the vac bag..
i´m sorry but my camera wrecked..gonna have a new one in a few weeks.. so i have only some shitty webcam pics.
the thing is, that cob smells like gingerbread and i almost would prefer eating it like a snickers. i never experienced such a hearty smell of sweet gingerbread in weed.
i´m a little tipsy atm and won´t resist anymore to pack me a bowl of it..hehe..tang, you are guilty if it fucks me up to hard

ps. these two tiny pieces are actually 15g..

Hi my friend even with the bad pics that looks good, aging it for a month or three will finish it off nicely. You can dry it and smoke some now, but it will get massively better in the coming months. Being Malawi I expect it will become the most powerful weed you have ever had.
Get ready to travel in space and time he he. I look forward to your nice pics and some smoke reports after ageing for a month or so. Once aged try chewing about a joints worth, chew it into dust in your mouth and then wash it down with a drink.
If you come back let us know how it went he he. My Gt cob smelled of wild honey sweet when I first opened it fantastic gear.
Nice job brother welcome to the club my friend.

..hm as i was already kind of fucked in the head this evening i wouldn´t judge it from this experience and give you a more detailed smoke report and pictures in a month or so. it´s malawi and is pretty potent anyways, if it´s cobed or jar cured. this bud came from the strongest malawi plant i have grown, and it´s strong enough to get you even more baked from what i have experienced now..; ) good weed

i´m gonna give it a serious try in about 4 weeks, then i´ll be able to tell you the differences to a jar cured bud of the same plant! :tiphat:

ps. i wouldn´t claim anything to be the best thing in the world, from my limited point of view ;)
