Hi Bogus, I was thiking more of the security thing than anything else to be honest, but thanks for switching to the ic gallery now its fixed. I can't get as close as most macro pics here, even with a cheap macro conversion lens, these are the best I've uploaded recently.

well i finaly got my lens and flash in. And have been playing for the past few days. with some tips from monkey and a few website articles, here's what i came up with so far.
Shot a few congolese buds as well as some krush, and the hash is all bchp 73u.

Here's 2 milimeters, taken from a plastic ruler.
This was with a nikon d40 (new machine) with an old tc200 (2x teleconv.) a pk-13 extension tube (27.5mm), and a vivitar 283 flash unit, which i had from my old F3 (1980) and a 55mm lens which came with the D40.
Isn't very well focused but..
Oh 2 millimeters = 0.0787401575 inch (says google).

I recently just also picked up a Nikon d40, but I haven't purchased a macro lens (toooooo damn expensive) at the moment... So I am just using macro filters for right now, but eventually I will be getting some macro lenses.

Hey monkey... Killer pictures dude... Ever thought about making a calendar or something with those killer insect pics?

hey babo, just get a teleconverter, on ebay or whatever.. it's cheaper and you can get close. you can get older nikon stuff bc it all works (in manual mode only).

Not very expensive is it? and the 2mm turned to 140mm! With the original lens that came on the D40. But you probably can get on ebay an old lens with better capabilities for cheap. Only thing you don't get is autofocus and metering, you'll have to do it yourself.

Hehe i saw the letter 'E' on ecsdxnycd and grapefruit macro..

I thought i've posted more macros hmm maybe im just too lazy so morning work was taking few shots of salvia divinorum - nice simple shapes of interesting plant
