Bästa helsningar från Finland. Nice thread, kool pix : )
Oh, you're from Finland? I didn't know, I've seen a lot of your posts around. Do you by any chance have any autostrains to recommend me for next year?

On topic:
I have harvested most of the plants now. I left about 13 or so. It was raining when we got there. I am sorry for the shitty cellphone quality. I tried to get more of the surroundings in the pictures so you have a better idea of what I'm working with.

This is what it looks like when you approach the spot:

Closer. Notice the purple plant in the middle.

A lot of the plants have started to hang because of all the rain. I've never seen them in this condition before.

Closer look at the tops:

I only brought two plastic bags with me, I could've used another one.

There was bad lighting indoors so I'm once again sorry for the quality of the pictures. I think you will get an idea of my drying setup, though. I have not been able to check the RH yet, I hope it's not too far off from the recommendations in simon's thread.
First few rough-trimmed buds:

It took a long time to get the trimming over with. I'd say at least 1h/plant. That sounds a lot for the small yields I get, but it's got to be done, right? 24h after we chopped we had trimmed all of the plants. These pictures are not up to date, I've added a few drying lines since I took the photos.

And that's about it for now. I've got lots of trim now. I will try to make some hash in a few days.

Auto Haze sounds sweet. I see there are a few around tho, which cut did u grow and how does it smoke? Tried LR#2 myself this summer and the slugs loved it. They barely made it out of the soil....

Meh,don't worry, this is how it always goes when guys harvest. Hortic is probably just stoned out of his gourd:biggrin: Having said that I'm also anxious to know...

Hi everyone and thanks for your comments. spiralofeyes is right on, I've been busy smoking and living life and haven't had time to check in here. Sorry about that. I will take a few bud shots and give you the dry weight tomorrow.

I want to see some dry bud shots! Looks like you did good for yourself.

Seems as if hortic is not available for reasons we all can try guess :-D

hope all is well with him.

Hey guys, I don't know if quoting you will alert you of my response but I hope so.

So what's been going on, you may ask? Honestly, for about a month and a half after the first harvest, I just chilled back and lived in amazement that I actually pulled this shit off according to plan. I was sort of waiting for the sky to fall. Since then I've been meaning to update you all but I just never got around to it. Sorry about that.

I waited until September 24 before harvesting the last few plants, about 12-15 were left behind after the first harvest. I did this for a couple of reasons. One of them was to test how the plants would react to the really un-cannabis friendly weather we had this year. I also wanted to see if the plants, which were the smallest ones, would swell up given a few more weeks. I also wanted to see if they would be noticed by hunters. They weren't and won't be in coming years either.

You have gotten used to my shitty cellphone pictures, and these pictures are even worse than the other ones I've posted. Pretty much all of them are out of focus because of bad picture conditions and a bad camera man. I apologize in advance for this. However I feel like I need to finish this thread, hopefully it will give some insight and tips to other people in the future.

Without further ado:

I have a few conclusions after this run.

1) The weather was totally fucked this summer.
2) Even though the weather was fucked, these are some tough plants we're dealing with.
3) It's possible to leave the plants outside until at least mid-September, which will give the ladies more time to develop the trichomes.
4) I should have chosen more strains, and I chose the wrong one to go all-out with.
5) I planted them too close together, which I believe affected yields negatively in a big way.
6) I should have used the proper nutrients, amended the soil and also mulched the soil.
7) The spot itself works and will most likely never be noticed by unwanteds.

Will I grow again? Hell yeah! Now that I know that I can get away with it without having anyone wandering around there I see no reason not to. This year I will do things right from the start. I will have 10+ strains, 100+ plants, plant according to the weather, do a little seed run... I have big plans, let's just put it like that.

Oh, I almost forgot. The yield was really pathetic. Some plants probably yielded 1-2g of really fluffy buds with hardly any trichomes on them. I never properly weighed it all, I only weighed parts of the crop. I estimate I got 100-125g of dry buds. The quality wasn't there, but the high was incredibly nice. I was really surprised by that.

Well, I guess that's it. Until the next season begins in about 4 months, I wish you all happy indoor harvests. Peace!
