It's pretty funny all these myths mostly don't apply to regular outdoor gardeners and to think back at one time I had scrounged around every nook and cranny all over in search for the correct dolomite...ya live and ya learn lol

I repeat;

One might also note that the supposed known causes of epigenetic damage relate to oxydization, virus, light damage. Also note that damage occurring may not present as a visible trait. In the case of what I observed and hypothesized to be inherited damage, it was leaf and floral deformity presenting as a relatively constant unique trait.

This was also in plants carried for many years.

neat little read

then there is this
http://www.ox.ac.uk/media/news_stories/2011/110729.html

Flashback to 20 years old right there... I was fortunate to be taught such things in the short time I was learning the basics. Never disscussed on that level though...that was a sobering read..(the first one, haven't read the second one yet)

Also..I'd agree it's a reasonable assumption that those damages wouldn't be visable all the time.

I know absolutely nothing about bulbs which is more than the 'guy at the grow store' does when he begins the 'lumens' deal. Therefore I use what is recommended by the manufacturer of the light system that I use, P.L. Light Systems

Hortilux for the HPS and the Philips CMH HPS bulbs for the veg cycle. Hortilux was involved in the design of the P.L. Lights 38 years ago and they still have a partnership today.

Before the CMH bulbs appeared I used the Philips 430 Son Argo bulbs for over 25 years.

They're available in HPS and MH - these are the light systems used in professional greenhouses in Holland, British Columbia, etc.

I have some of the original, original HPS systems from 1987 that are still in use. All that's required is to switch out the ignitor or the capacitor about every 8 years or so. P.L. Lights were anodizing their reflectors in 1976 but when Sun Light introduced this 7 years back you would have thought that they had reinvented the wheel.

Indoors but I have used the 400w in small greenhouses to get seedlings up and running for the raised beds. Also for rooting Japanese Lace Maples cuttings which was our main 'cash crop' when we had our nursery.

Nothing fancy - functional though.

this is the second time in this pot, first time i grew the best plant i ever in a pot, i just took it out and put in a 10in tall seedling, its growing, not as fast as the 2 sisters but its growing, the leaf's variegated tips all along the edges are turned up the hairs are dead and the calyxes are extremely small, whats is up with this plant and how do i cure it?

According to real growers my GPW is pretty weak and worthless.

I'm such a piker - I really need to get my head out of my ass and get some Kush or Diesel cuts and then my life would be complete.

i actually just got the forum GSC cut along with a strain created by a friend which is what i really wanted...im hoping i will magically become cool!

i have an actual relevant question...
we sell a compost tea here at the shop, and i have a couple of questions.
how long will it remain alive once its sold? i tell people they need to use it within a couple hours of taking it home unless they have an airstone setup at home. is that true?

also, how much can it be diluted and still remain effective?

the recipe we use is

water from the koi tanks
ancient forest compost
floralicious vegan plant booster
molasses
General Organics bioweed
fox farms microbe brew

( i know,i know,i just work here,not my choice)

is this just total garbage? should i push for an ewc, kelp meal, molasses base?
