add the lime to plain water or with your nutes. its up to you. use the lime once and wait till you see improvement before taking more action.

I have some plants in cheap poundland soil, this has happened over two days..Ive been spraying with cal/mag as they kept looking def, Think it could be ph lock?

Short answer is: "could be"... I suspect it prolly is, and causing multi-def/lockout symptoms... interveinal chlorosis starting from the leaf tip & margin working its way down towards base/petiole, could be number of things... necrotic spotting does look like cal def... leaf curl/claw looks bit like mag def... but if you're spraying & its not remedying, its obviously not just simple straightforward cal-mag def, but something interfering w/ uptake.

Longer answer is: Need more info/details & better pics...

Where did it occur first?
New growth or old growth?
Top/upper part of the plant or bottom/lower?
Does it seem to progress in any direction (up vs down)?
What is cheap poundland soil?
No other components?
How long ago did u transplant into it?
In containers (if so, size?) or ???
What r u feeding it? Schedule?
Is your water RO, tap, distilled, what?
Fungus gnats... is the rootball waterlogged?
Got any pH readings? Going in? Coming out/runoff?
Temps & humidity?

Spraying dose alleviate it a little, that's what led me to think it's ph related!

Where did it occur first?
Bigger plants

New growth or old growth?
Old

Top/upper part of the plant or bottom/lower?
Bottom fans

Does it seem to progress in any direction (up vs down)?
Up

What is cheap poundland soil?
Composted organic matter peat and lime I guess!

No other components?

How long ago did u transplant into it?
15th march

In containers (if so, size?) or ???
4L
What r u feeding it? Schedule?
Biobizz grow, light mix schedule

Is your water RO, tap, distilled, what?
Tap

Fungus gnats... is the rootball waterlogged?
This room is at a growbuds, he deals with watering..I have spoken to him about the importance of not overwatering..I have sharp sand I can use on the gnats!

Got any pH readings? Going in? Coming out/runoff?
No ph meter :(

Temps & humidity?

25c-28c humidity unknown :(

All seemed to kick off after the hps went on!

if it happened rapidly it's nute burn. adding more nutes is just making it worse. plain water till they recover. if you were already giving plain water then the soil is too hot you need to flush with a couple gallons of water. just run a couple gallons of water through the pot and let it recover.

Thanks, I will flush them out tomorrow!

:yeahthats:
what he said

The fact that it started at the bottom on older growth and moves up towards the top/newer growth implicates a mobile nutrient (P, K, Mg, Mo, Ni)... Cal is only partially/slowly mobile (some say its completly immobile)...

Anyway:
As prev mentioned (and as stihg reinforced) 2 days is mighty fast reaction and indicates nute burn/excess (and the excess nute may in turn be locking out/causing def of others).

A flushing will do ya good... resume feeding at like only 1/4 strength. Should clear, but the damage is done (the affected leaves won't completely recover). And sooner get a pen, the better...

Ever run this mix before? Maybe the compost in it isn't completely cooked, maybe not particularly well-balanced (may have too much of some element(s) & may need to be cut with something sterile and/or given more time to season before putting plants in it)?

Just food for thought...

Hope u nail it! G'luck...

Nutrient Imbalance Small DWC Reservoir

Nutrient Imbalance Small DWC Reservoir

Hello ICMag,

I'm currently having some nutrient issues with my plant.

Symptoms:
Tips yellowing and burning.
Sudden pH drop.

Conditions:
DWC Bubbleponics.
Res size: 1.75gal
Air Temps: Mid 70s.
Water temp: Low 70s
pH range: 5.8-6.2
CFL 138 watts. 24/0.
RO Water.

Strain:
Auto Biodiesel Mass

Nutrients:
K2SiO4 (Ag Sil 16)
Cal Mag
GH Flora
Heisenberg Tea

Comments:
I've been having issues maintaining consistent ppms. I understand this is directly related to the size of the reservoir.

Roots look healthy and white.

My ppms are really low: ~200 ppm ca/mg. 64 ppm K2SiO4. 65 mg total Micro/Grow/Bloom (0.8mL/gal).

My three questions:
Is my plant experiencing nutrient excess? Any nutrient in particular, or all NPK?

How do you guys addback nutrients to a small reservoir? 1/3 strength? 1/2 strength? By ppm?

And: is my K2SO4 causing the potassium to be out of balance?

Hey guys.... So Im reviving this post... Plants are starting to look a little funky. they are on day 2 of week 2 of flower, and i want to get this nipped in the but before it gets to bad.

3 gal pots with Promix HP 1 tbl spoon of dolmite lime per container
advanced nutes grow micro bloom @ 2ML/L grow 4ML/L micro and 5ML/L bloom.
They were hit with bud bloom to at the flip.
1 tsb of blackstrap molassase

FEED-WATER-WATER But sometimes i replace a water. with a worm casting tea + humic acids. Black diamond from Gerneral Organics

Under 2 400watt lights. 1 hps 1 mh bare bulb no reflector. ( to minimize heat)
temps 77-79
RH % 65%

So what do you guys see? I do have a specific problem in mind. but i just know somethings not right.

Thanks so much for lending your time to my garden.

Respect and love from Canadian Harvest

any ideas what this might be from? It's my first time running this OG clone and it definately is a CaMg hog, anyone know what this def is? mg? Thanks in advance!

and what would be the best way to get rid of it? if its an N-P-K issue i could try top dressing with a 5-3-2 guano or making a tea, im organic in soil btw, promix w/ ewc ect...

Or is this a nutrient burn ?

here's how prevalent this bad knowledge is...i just browsed like 5 of my favorite threads to cruise for pics. i see a few guys posting several strains they're running, and they're like @56 days about to chop, @49 just rounding the bend, @68 could use maybe one more week. all of em. ALL OF EM. were barely past the first flush of flowers, pistils not receded, so many white pistils sticking out can't even guess at a number. but by the prevailing logic...since most of the trichomes have turned sorta cloudy and because close to 50% of the pistils are sorta brown... time to get PAID$$$$

lulz. shitty harsh weed. with flavors and now more MOLECULES!!!

ehh... lol put that shit back in the tent for 30 days sir you aren't hardly done.

K def. if you've been dumping mag on it. prolly lockout, just wait for the excess to be used.

Thanks.man I appreciate your response, so K def. Huh, new growth all looks pretty green it's just when the leaves start to get bigger they get like that...

Will try making a tea and/or top dressing some 5-3-2 guano or add fish bone meal really lightly to see if that helps, she's going to be in that container for another couple.of weeks so she needs to be happy before moving her outdoors
