Do you know that for that item, on the pic there are 2 connectors, so i ordered 12 items to go with 12 led's and they gave me 12 pieces, not 12 paires, so i can connect only 6 cobs. I'm upset, there are rip off's.

For the tax, it's the VAT from USA. I order on digikey.fr, i pay in euros, and they send me a parcel from USA, and i must pay the VAT, so the prices are not interesting at all,

Digikey are rip off's
I don't buy from them and I'm in the US lol. Why didn't you use the Ideal cob holders? I think Arrow.com is worldwide and it cost $2.22 USD much better than the ones you chose.

hey sorry ive been away for a while

yes digikey gives free shipping on orders over 100 but do not pay tax

mouser offers free shipping on orders over 100 and they pay tax/ duties/customs VAT ect

on a side note i think you need to get in contact with digikey because the product discrition clearly says 2 pcs

"Digi-Key Part Number A107375-ND
Quantity Available Digi-Key Stock: 918 Can ship immediately
Manufacturer TE Connectivity AMP Connectors
Manufacturer Part Number 2-2154857-2
Description QTY2=2PC LED SOCKET CITIZEN"
sorry to hear your bad experience- i was under the impression you were buying chips from digi as well

Digikey are rip off's

I've been using Digi-Key for decades. They do not rip people off.

Being human, they make mistakes, which they promptly and courteously rectify.

I imagine they'll rectify their mistake this time as well, even though you decided they were ripping you off. They're much kinder than I'd be if a customer made that claim.

Not accurate.

Right, because what you say is more accurate than the info on their site.

OK, i get it !

Let's talk seriously! A cxb3070 at 1500 mA is how many PAR watts ? Do we know that ?

dunno off the top of my head the specs on the cxb ab bin

you can google that info though by calculating the efficiency and then find the par watt

or just ask realstyles

i dont know what info you refer to

the link shows VAT for some US states-we are talking about the EU

The info I pasted and linked to.

Now, you may believe Digi-Key gives free shipping. You may have even gotten free shipping for one reason or another. That doesn't change the fact that Digi-Key does not, as a matter of standard practice, give free shipping.

From France, when i pay in euros on internet, i guess it's a european website, inside the euro zone. And when it's not written prices excluding VAT, i anderstand that it's the total price for me, final customer. And when the pic shows 2 pieces, they have to send 2 pieces and not only one, else, what's the use of the pic ? For that they are not honnest, they bet in our weakness, and they are not alone.

But let's stop fighting, i've got every thing except the fans (and the holders) to build a 1 meter wide 200 watts led growlight, i can't wait...

From china, it took less than 2 weeks to arrive, with 27 euros (for a $99 order) of VAT and zoll taxes, that's correct, i paid in dollars when i ordered, not in euros, so it's no surprise for me.

The heat sinks are quite heavy, thick, 100x15X5 cm and took 12 days inside France, ROFLMAO

Yes Dion, i bought the CREE LED's on digikey also, and i talked to them. They say that because the qty field is preset to 2 when you arrive on the item page, it's clear that it's 2 items for a COB, they are not sorry at all, i bought 12 cob and 6 paires of holders, that's not weird for them anyway. But these holders are too finicky to set on the sink. I should drill at 12.88 mm from the center of the COB, 12,88 mm +_ 0.05, LOL, how is it possible to do that ?

That's why i ask if it is possible to stick the cob on the sink, and solder the wires to the corners. I see that the COB is in plastic, soldering must be done very quick and well, but i don't want to damage a $40 component.

I'm not fighting.

You do need to use holders, as I found out the expensive way. I tried to save a few bucks and screwed myself.

You should be able to find these...

at

http://fr.farnell.com/

I find only for cxa25XX not for the CXA30XX ! Theys seem to have only 2 references.

Is it a french website? Or the same as digikey without VAT ?

EDIT : i've got it :
