LED and BUD QUALITY

I think there are advantages to both HID and LED. Neither is BETTER per say. I personally had bad luck with LED but that doesn't make them junk. Yes definitely a learning curve that I would love to learn. I'll give it a try again sometime but for now HID works great for me.

I'm wayyyy past age 6 so I won't block no one, I love all opinions and knowledge, but when you take it personal thats my red line.
I'm not stubborn about anything and I really really don't care if u use reptile bulbs to grow your plants, do as you wish
That's the problem with you led growers, every tech argument you have to take it personal and defend it like I'm cursing you or something lol
We are talking about tech here, plastic and iron ! Stop talking nonsense about personal shit, if you have someway to counter claim please do, you have no idea who I am so going on to me isn't gonna give no merit to your arguments or opinions.
A weak mind attacks the author, a strong mind address the issue at hand.

I also think there are more advantages to this tech in its own field (VEGGING large spaces), but these guys just like to take it personal cuz they spent mucho dinero and don't like to hear the truth
When I was 16 I purchased my first 400w bulb, germinated 3 seeds, had no idea wtf Im doing, wanna guess how it ended ?
Well let me tell you, I never smoked anything like that ever since, was straight ams fire (and I verified it by going there 2 years after and smoking the same strain)

So, do what you want, let's stop fighting and share knowledge, I said it all along, I have no bickering with no one here, stop thinking because u grow with x or y I hate you 🥱

you don't have any "tech" arguments!

This is LED bud. I've got no problem getting resin from them. My problem is the plant stretch, foxtailing buds and overall plant deficiencies under LEDs. If I can get over those obstacles then I would probably use LEDs. I mean who doesn't want to cut their electric bill in half?

just the abstract and some charts but some important information

A related finding, but neither indoor, nor specific to cannabis:

Nice, a Japanese dr did a similar experiment, using a film on top of his greenhouse that filtered out the harmful rays of the sun, leaving only so called PAR energy and of course the natural heat that greenhouse provides, he had crazy results in terms of yield/time/size, quality was still seed/genetic related, but everything else took off.
You probably heard about that story it was back in 1990 but the tomato plant he started with is still alive and gives 15k-20k tomatoes per yield that are tennis ball size (it's cherry tomatoes mind u)
I think that at one point he used co2 to further those findings, I'll edit once I remember the name of him

I don't want to derail the thread I'm sure there are some good threads on LED stretching and foxtailing. I just haven't found them yet
It's pretty much across the board, you saw the pics here, they suffer from the same traits, most do, in pics and in real life.
I had those issues too with my panels, (301b)
But I agree totally that looks can be deciving, maybe theres flowers thats worth the while under LEDs, I certainly haven't smoked one yet, you can call me a liar but that's my 2cent, nothing personal ☺️👌

No I agree with both of you. I don't have trouble getting resin with LEDs, BUT clone for clone I can get MORE off of HPS. Not a ton more. Definitely a small margin. I find HPS more forgiving overall but expensive as hell to run. I think using BOTH together might work for me. Best of both worlds.
