MiamiAnother day in the books. I’m loving the fireplace in this house, we haven’t had enough days to justify having one until now. We’re supposed to be down in 37° tomorrow morning, which is crazy for Florida… Ivan is sitting at my feet looking at me and Dutch is just giving up on thinking about dinner. My boys are quite spoiled and I’m OK with that…
I had the same in Tampa...had a 1965 Porsche 912 and just had it painted...damn thing was covered in white...

I stayed calm , knowing that chopping wood is a process , locating the desired tree , cutting it down , and cutting it up into workable pieces

Use to saw, chop and stack up to 7 chords a year when I burnt 2 woodstoves at a time. Couldn't do it anymore. I enjoyed every aspect of getting my own firewood. I didn't care for being high when using the chainsaw. But afterwards nothing better than being high out in the mountains
Evening folks! Got trapped in the basement for a couple of hours, but I was doing god's work.
K is grilling ribeye for dinner and I'm sure we'll have a baked potato. Busy day tomorrow. We 'might' get some weather later in the week and I need gas/smokes/propane/beer...the necessities.
