Thank you for checking my thread. I figured you missed it so seeing how similar it may be to yours i decided to get you here. Enjoy! I am sure enjoying your thread!
Thank u sir!

Leaf surface is usually 0.3 to 0.45 degrees lower than the temps you see on the screens. Its so insignifiant that I didnt't input that into the controller, altrough I made a calibration function for it.

Ahh ok cool

My aim is highest energy efficiency. I am as leaninent with controlling environment as the range for good plants allows.

Hehe that's funny because previously I persued the same objective.. to grow the highest quality cannabis barebones & with the least amount of monetary inputs.. from that I derived much personal satisfaction.

Lack of ability to provide nutrients to the plants was my main limiting factor, which I just broke through.
:yoinks:Please explain:prettyplease:

This is just a small test. Stay tuned for more!

Well of course I have to now!:D

Later edit: ............. , temp doesn't matter that much. Always think vpd. I can make those bitches drink about the same through all the usable temperature spectrum. I am laughing when someone tells me u need Ir or high temp to get nutrients or water through plants. My plants still get over 2.5 liters of nute solution per hour, with minimal runoff.
Bro can you post the VPD chart you subscribe to plz..

ps I will be defoliating tmos
peace much love and best for the rest :ying:

I subscribe to instantly calculated vpd based on the formula I think I got on wikipedia. Out of whats available online, I like this one:
Click image for larger version Name:	noexif_9e4bc44c.jpg Views:	0 Size:	301.6 KB ID:	18109460
I still defoliate over half a bucket of leaves a week from them..
As about the lack of feeding problems, look at the original grow in this thread. Same environment or even better and plants in soil and I got those results. Now I switched to coco and i put 20 times more water and nutes through them than i could in soil. And I am able to keep them closer to the light and more power on the dimmer too with happier plants.
See you around!

Good stuff my man!
I'm doing a soil grow for once after years in coco and soilless mixes.

Heya bro! Thanks for coming by!
but.. why? I feel like soil always left my plants a bit hungry and fucked with the nutrition and ph. It can be used, but not under intense leds, is my opinion. I am.sure you got your reasons, tho, and I hope it works for you.

Yo Ex.. What EC level are you feeding?
:thank you:
Heya dots!
I was feeding 2.35-2.55 till yesterday morning while also doing runoff reuse tests. It was a bit much and also I wanted to clean the reservoir and start fresh nutes again, so yesterday I got to 1.8 mS with great success, after also flushing the coco so i ensure what I am feeding now its what plants get. The plants like it, as I would have seen changes by now if they didn't. My feeling is that what you feed is more important that how much you feed. And how often you feed will also influence the EC you need.
For now I needed to boost the Ca and Mg mostly cause they showed small defs again. But they so small they get fixed in hours, once I correct the feed.

Speaking about burns and stuff, this area in the foreground is 10 cm from the leds on the left most bud and going to 15 cm away for the most right one in the picture. Acording to that ppfd app it gets over 1500 ppfd. And still good.

Ps not real colors since its just a phone macro under 300w of leds...

Later.edit: Since we talked about ppfd and I played with that phone app a bit, I must say I dont know how accurate it is but it seems to be right there around with the data mars hydro has in the product page and also around what others measure with better devices, so for comparative talk I think its good enaugh. My whole canopy is from 5-10 cm away from leds to 25-30 cm away on some far sides. Even 30 cm away and to the side of the light I still seem to get close to 800 ppfd, and most of the canopy that is around 15 cm away gets well over 1000 ppfd, while some tops are 2000+. Those ppfd values combined with the fact my autos get 15 hours of light means I get good dli overall.

Anyway, at first I was concerned that I can't reach the back plants to prune, supercrop or defoliate. I was super concerned with leaves getting discarded and getting moldy in the canopy or on the coco, but it seems that even leaves that come in contact with coco will dry before getting any mold started on them. I reached as far back as i could into the canopy, took out some dried leaves that the plant consumed and discarded, they were dry kindling grade dry. Straight out of the 65 % RH tent, deep within the canopy. That looks very sweet to me. Proper environment means healthy plants but also healthier end product, with much less chance of getting mold! I am getting lots of benefits on the cheap here! :joint:

I'm just trying one plant, in canna terra and canna bio nutes let's see how it goes

Plants are looking bomb! How much are you currently dropping dark cycle Temp and Rh from light cycle? I lowered my temps 4-5C. It was terrible going in my room and I dreaded it. If your temps and Rh work in my room I’m going to be fat and happy again!!!

Thank you man!
I'm not dropping anything I just let the lights go like 22-25 C in the daytime and it stays 19-21 in the lights off period. The vpd controller then keeps whatever vpd range i set it to. It could keep temp too, but why bother since they like it this way?
Btw a snapshot of environment during both day and night been posted in the last 2 pages, if you want to check more details. At this point I trust the controller enaugh to not care about vpd actively so much, as you can see every time I check it it seems in the right range so I have that peace of mind.

Thank you for the nice words! Just did a check on the girls.
All going good, some tops still want to go into the light or around it but i did some supercropping and bending to keep them all in better lighting. Will post more pics soon, guess I need to dust off the camera for some nicer pics as we have some nice resin in there already. The smell is also funky, i mean this Urban Legends Sour Cheese probably went through all the fermentation smells of cheese on me till now, and its only getting more dank. It was a fresh mix of fresh fermenting and frutty smells just a week or so ago. Now it gets to be like blue cheese, nutty, woody, those kinds of deep notes!

I managed to snap some pics with my camera before the battery died. Now it looks more like what I am seeing. Except they maybe not as dark as they seem in the picture.

Cheese is looking sinister there homie.
Re the EC that's a good solid feed bro. Could've done it the other way round and went from 1.8 to 2.3 now that it's starting to put on flower..

Heya, bro! I am always a bit afraid of cheese, so we'll see how this goes!
They don't seem to need more EC, but I will bump Mg and P a bit.. they seem to be needing those more lately.
