Nice bubble run Ambre, I gave up on motorized mixing after a few runs when I discoverd how much better is comes out by only hand mixing. Its alotta stirring but worth it IMO.

Thanks for the constant show of uplifting phots Lime. Nice thing to see upon waking. And the photo w the broom, (memory nearly had me shittin myself and spittin coffee on the monitor laughin)that shit was so not stealth, too bad it wasnt a video of the top of the broom from outside da house, I know i was fevrish off the kush and bubble. G'mornin Canna,BG,Ambre, been reading and re-readin you guys threads. Hi SS. Ok guess im a run-on-sentence maester, so I'll do my best w that and the punctuation thing. I'm pretty green so I'm just gonna jump in with some questions starting with general growroom setup, thanks in advance for any advice(kinda amazing all the years of combined knowledge represented by this group feeling humbled by it).
I just studded in a 8.5'x10.5' basement room.The wall the entrance door is in is the short wall so room is deeper than wide. Flowering will be with 2 1k lights over 4x8' e&f. There are two ways I was considering setting it up.
1) Build a large box/cab settup with a mom chamber and a clone area. This would be built against the wall,fresh air will be pulled from the basement through this then through the lights out the other side of the room to exhaust outside. Because of the heat the hps will put off I may need a second exhaust IDK. The advantage i can see with this is more room for me to move around when in the room, disadvantage-no access to mums/clones when its dark cycle for rest of room.
2) Or build another wall/door dividing the room into 2, so upon entering first room is veg, next room flowering. I think this would work 2 as i have to pull air from front or R side wall(as your looking at it going in throught the first door) and will be venting out of the back R end of the room(flowering end).The air would still come in through the first(veg) room then through the flowering room before leaving.Advantages I think would be go into first room anytime and less work to make a wall than a cab, first room would prolly be like 4' deep x 8.5'wide. think I'm leaning toward this now.
any advice or suggestions?

1) Carbon scrubber can be ran and vented all inside the room, or should be vented outside?
2) Use two 4x4 e&f trays, one 4x8, or like a 6x4 and a 2x4. Last one just a thought kind of goes with question 3.
3) How would you separate and flush last row or two of plants before harvest with the 49soldier type setup or any E&F for that matter?

Thanks for all the compliments! It was fun, if a lot of work.
70's- I know hand-mixing is cleaner, but I'm fighting angina attacks and I don't need to trigger a heart attack by working that hard; bubble isn't worth the risk. Mixers and automated helpers have become some of my best friends. If you use a light trigger finger, automated mixing can be quite gentle on the herb - the first run is very blond except for the 160u (and for some reason, the 25u). The second run, of course, is a lot greener, but I got almost all the goodies on the first run.
CP- I love hash oil! I made a couple good size batches last harvest, so I turned all the trim from this run into bubble. Next time I send something with a freezer pack your way, remind me and I'll include some of the oil.
Lime- Thanks for the pic with the broomstick - I roared! I like my double-spoon for hand mixing, the broomstick would be too hard to control....
Propa-Gator- Glad you liked my thread. I've never seen anyone show their res setup in detail, so I thought it would be a good thing to include. Definitely don't use the quilt batting as a filter - that was NOT a good idea! Let me know if I can help you out.

i think the idea of a seperate veg cab is better for you and your personality,,,,,your way to forgetfull to depend on getting everything right the first time,,,no offense bro, but i seen you forget you were eating breakfast,lol
so with your all over the place nature(exactly like mine mind you) its best to have veg workable in morning when waking up before art and flower on right after work......i think flower on at 9pm off 9am is YOUR best bet.
if your using the portable you spoke off, you will need to scrub the room itself and the portable will exhaust the scrubbed air....i use a LIVING AIR ionizer as well, placed directly behind the intake on the back off the portable. feel me?
get the lights there own intake and exhaust et up, tape up the lamp hoods like mine and no dirty air will escape through lights,. the lights air and the rooms air are two different things completely,,,they shouldnt mix if air cooling.
remember my veg setup....duplicate it....except, i stopped bubbling my vegging plants,,,only TK mom in bucket bubblin,,,shes 8 ft tall now and around 7 foot wide, fuckin ridiculous=( the other moms and clones in veg are hand watered as needed,,,,ive seen the overall health and growth improve 10000000000%. i think only the tk is tuff enuff to put up with that torturous constant wetness. the lui and sensi star were gettin sick from never drying out,,,,i knew better, but the TK is so fuckin gangster tough, it makes you forget the basics of working w tempermental hybrids.
for the 49 soldiers,,you need 3 trays....i thing the best bet goes like this
first tray is 3 x 3 and has 1st res underneath, this is flower solution 1, it generally includes 80%flower solution, 20% veg(grow) solution, and micros.
2nd tray is 4x4 and has 2nd res underneath. this is flower solution 2, containing only flower solution, and micros(ill get particular later)the tray size increases because the plants just did
3rd tray is 2 x 4 and has flush solution, clearex a day a week and cool, clear water the rest. this is for the perpetual battle.
7 in the field(tray) a week at 7 rows by day 49 they are ready to be taken down 7 a sunday and all the subsequent soldiers are moved over to there neighbors property, and turning is good at this juncture, and as expected, 7 new clones ready to roll placed where absence occurs due to the movement that by day 49 should repeat itself every 7 days......
7 is the magic # in many ways Propa knows this.

youre a trip,,my boy..! ill take pics tonight if i can to show you the lights....the living air just sits in the room behind the portable,,,the portable vents outside,so i try and ionize all the air going by its intake before exhausting it all stinky like, carbon filters have there limits esp w kush.
if you draw clean air into your lights. ie. air from outside the grow,,,,then the exhausted air shouldnt stink if lights are sealed, in theory,and if done correctly, it will only exhaust hot air......
as soon as i heal up,,,,,ill be up to help you dial her in....just get the basics solid, you got mega veg time to work with so keep it steady as far as work progress goes, and do it all perfect so you dont gotta go back with the ladies doin their THANG. lime
