Jumbo Stealth Grow

Put the Floor Grid in and placed my 10 2 gallon buckets. I don't really know how long I'll stick with organic being that If I went with hydro I could fit 20 or so plants. Any way I'm not anywhere near done but I thought it would be a good Idea to get something started being that I have been running my HPS lights for the past two weeks to work out all the kinks. Cab Flower chamber temp is now a steady 81*F. Not bad at all. :sasmokin:
More to come soon.

Got a new glass piece yesterday. It's real nice. From the same artist that made my other smaller pipe. You can spike this thing off the ground and it won't break! Not to mention that it's not one of the many sweat shop pipes I see around my area. It really pisses me off that they have these 10year old kids making some of these pipes! I saw some pictures of the injuries and problems that kind of business creates. Any way I like my local glass. Ive got this dank nug i'm not sure of the strain but it does the trick. :sasmokin:

WOW looking awesome! keep up the good work.
tell me the story about the kids making glass pipes...not sure i understand.
you mentioned a sweat shop, What the hell! this would be something to know so i dont buy any improper glass. be cool

Just stay away from the glass display cases with bowls cheaper than 20 bucks. The two headshops in my area keep all cheap imported glass together, I imagine its mostly high school kids buying em.

Man I love this site. All of you are great to interact with. Well I snapped a few photos of my little girls one week into flowering. Looking good but I need to transplant them into the 2 gallon containers. Right now they are in the beer cups still. Could explain some of the problems I'm having with their leaves. Peace

Sad news. I didn't get a chance to buy more dirt to transplant my flowering girls. I had to kill off all but 2 of them. I had to bags of organic and for now I'm going to test my methods on these two.
I mad a simple reflector today. Just some framing and rivets and scrap 4" HVAC piece. Works good for my needs. I hammered a bunch of dimples in it to keep the light more even. Now I'm not blinded every time I take the door off.
My veg chamber is doing well. I have been working on the mothers and also kept a bunch of the old clones. I'm Glad that I can add these fully grow clones into the flowering chamber any time. I'm going to prepare this time and have plenty of organic soil ready.

I'll have to get a better pic. Sorry for the lack of detail.

Things are going good these days. I don't know how much longer I'm going to use soil. I'm really thinking for my clones and flowering I'm going to use Hydro. Lots to think about. Any way I have been busy today. I decided to train my plants some and tie their branches down and force them to grow more low and allow more light to get to all the leaves etc..
I did the same thing in the lower chamber. Now all the bud sites should receive more much needed light.

I have two plants under 800w hps. Why do you ask? My power bill went from 70$ a month to 130$ what do you think about that? I'm thinking its no big deal being that I have a saltwater fishtank and all. Peace. Those HPS cost me but it's all worth while.

hey badgr they look real tasty man, i just asked because 800w is way over kill dont you think? i mean your using up the lifetime of both your bulbs when you could do just as good with just the one 400watter glowing. and save some money and heat issues.

more popwer to ya what ever you do of course tho man, cant wait to see the finished product after all the work you've put ito this grow!!!!

if you scrogged two plants down there with both your bulbs going you'd really get some killer nugs and plants man.

Well, I had too much fun with th 800w hps setup! :badday: NOT, What a pain that was, 800w cost too much to run not to mention the heat issues involved. I decided I will have to go with 1 of the 400w hps. I rigged up a quick tube to put the 400w in but I am going to upgrade to a hood. I don't fancy this because it is not wide enough. Too many other issues i was having with leaf burning etc... I have seen many successful 400w setups that are basically the same size as my cab. I saw one guy get 700g with a 400w hps! thats crazy! :chin: Lets hope i can do the same. Bummer that the 800w setup didn't workout but you cant win em all. I may be looking into a 600w.

I decided since I was back to a single 400w hps I would seal off the cool tube and have it suck air from the light blocking 4" intake. I would guess that this setup will keep the bulb cleaner and keep things from going inside the cool tube: Dust; plant matter etc.... Here is a lame pic to give you an idea.

Poor Plants, I burned them with any number of novice moves. Could be due to my random fertilizer dose's and too intense light. I'm going for DWC recirculating real soon. Maybe next crop.

I just wired in a new 20amp plug for the 800w power draw from the old light setup oh well I will use it for the 400w.

Keep an eye on this thing I have the itch to mod.

Decided to dry the buds! I had to make a quick drying chamber. I used two true air filters one pulling air in and one exhausting air out through a carbon filled filter bag. I used some old rubber-made tub for the case. I filled the carbon bag up with some of the same activated carbon I used for my scrubbers. From their I just ran some wires and hung the buds to dry. The filters will work great b/c they are very very small fans and don't pull a large amount of air. Here is a few pics. I'm going to go with 6 soil plants for the next harvest and then i will try hydro. Below is a picture of the top of the new hood I just made. Let me know what you think.
Look at this root ball. It looks like a sand castle.

The intake has a double layered 3m electrostatic filter.

What do you guys do with your leftover dirt?

Inside view. I don't even know if this will work but I saw others using this method.

Last but not least a view of my hood when it's lowered down some.

SO I went out and bought 50$ worth of Miracle grow organics choice soil. I have heard of how it can have Nat problems but I figured I would be ok. I cleaned out the flower chamber and got prepared for the next run. Picked out my favorite clones and got ready to plant. I opened a bag of soil shined a light in and saw everything was crawling. Nats everywhere. Fat chance I'm going to use this shi*. I lost the damn receipt too. I'm going to have to figure out a way to get rid of all the nasties in that soil before i put my babies in them. Any of you know any tricks to get rid of these pests? Also I foil taped the containers to keep the light from hitting the roots. I want to get the next batch flowering before the end of the week. Wish me luck.

Well N/M I hope. I did some quick research and found a solution to my Nat problem. Some product called mosquito dip. I ran 10 gallons of water treated with this product through the soil. I hope it works. I'm letting the containers sit out in my garage for the night to see if I can't get rid of my Nat problem. I'll keep you updated.
