i can't find an upside. i'll never be a millionaire and i'll always be paying taxes. why can't that money go to uplift my fellow citizens rather than fund weapons of war that send us on a snipe hunt to find someone to kill.

put that money into the grid and upgrade that bullshit 1950's tech that runs power plants.
put that money into lowering the fucking pH of the goddamned ocean.

Capitalism isnāt good or bad. But rather, I would argue, the natural order of commerce.
Even in a state controlled system, the black market still thrives, and does so according to the above definition.
Anyone who believes that public school teachers are overpaid should become a public school teacher. Just sayin.

A huge issue with the way GOV lets wealth transfer is fucked up. If any of us wanted to give any relative cash there are rules. If you give too much the Gov will tax some to get their bite. Makes no sense to me.

Exchange of goods and services is the natural order of commerce.
I don't think that Capitalism is quite the same. I fail to see what's natural about organisations who's sole reason for existence is to make money; that a very small number of us are wealthy and powerful beyond the wildest imagination, at the expense of others. Capitalism relies on competition, growth, and exploitation both of people and resources. Consumption of goods seems to be what drives people these days, and that comes from mass marketing rather than need.
From the perspective of the environment "fairytales of eternal economic growth" are impossible (Greta). Communism isn't the answer either as it also relies on economic growth.
