Haha same here, I love sativas more than anything but I have to be careful which ones I smoke daily. The moon is enough for me as well.

Sorry for taking over your thread @Abdthi1966 :D
Haha this is here for the good, and or enjoyment of all friend. Besides I love a good bit of history.

Yes Rob! Looking, and hoping for that rocket trip ride

Nah ACE and CBG collaborated for some years and that's when those strains were added to the ACE catalogue. When they parted ways there was some kind of agreement that those can stay, and no other CBG genetics have been used since.

That said, while it has been discontinued now, ACE sold (Sensi Seeds) "Hashplant S1" seeds for years.

I had no idea that Ace carried sensi hashplant. Was sensi aware of it? Was it a deal they had? I dont know why a breeder wouldn't want to share their genetics with the world but thats just me. No doubt preserving all these strains has to be tough work but eventually you have to call it quits

Who knows, who cares, it's in the past now. The genetics are free to be used anyway, "piracy" of them is just an opinion, not universally adopted etiquette let alone law. Names can be trademarked though and Sensi stylizes it Hash Plant® on their website suggesting it's registered to them, but it doesn't come up in the USPTO or EUIPO trademark searches?

I just didnt know if the guy from sensi was as closed doors with his genetics as Ace and some of these other banks. Ive grown out 3 strains of sensi and frankly im not that impressed for the price you pay for his gear. I had a jack herer plant that looked like something from another planet. But i do have some of their seeds in my vault. I think my wife would really enjoy that maple leaf indica

I think Dronkers did the "if you can't beat them, join them" thing and started Sensi's sister company White Label as a response to all the knockoffery, a long long time ago already.

The ACE HPs1's story was "the grower who gave us the genetics said it is a very old clone from Sensi stock".

Kinda regret not getting those HP s1's. Would have been interesting to run them side by side with Sensi's current HP (which are pretty expensive beans btw, 132 EUR for 10 regs).

But yeah.. how are the Sinaloan x Destroyer doing, @Abdthi1966 ? :D

You know? Without side bar topics like this most of these threads would be pretty bare. Great actually, these little buggers are finally rounding the corner from the ph issues and the leaves are looking better. I took one out to inspect the roots and it was just massive for the age. Still some kinks to go but ultimately it’s going well. And my other ladies are just a few weeks away now

Do you know whats causing the ph problems yet? You know sativas. They can get cranky when it comes to nutes or hot soil
