GG4 thread is very cliquey, and they do not tend to help strangers.

Yes LOL (Some their believe they Definitely have a "Cult " thing going on with this Plant and "follow the leader" (so to speak!) i believe (as i always did) this 'DUD' thing was Only Devised by Some "Serious" Grower "|-:" (or mega Enthusiastic grower!?) to Stire up Attention and Bewilderment between Growers..
As far as i know i get on ok with joesy and a few others (probably think im Nuts!! but arnt Flaunting that as far as i can see!) MY SIG Is meant to Give a picture of WHAT to Expect maybe.... But the "flag bearer" who has Some "waft/clout" Elsewhere Totally Stopped me from Entering the Fishheads Thread after i made a Single Post..Of "Hard thought" Advice too! - i was sayin dont let others down,cus of a few negatives!? etc.

I was on dud thread for about 4 months, before it was shut down.

Seriously How can a Dud be anything other than a Poor S1!.. And besides Guyfawkes as far as i know was one of the Very First to Get The GG#4 and Months before this ' Dud ' thing was Created at the time he had the GSC too and maybe the Daywrecker/headband also but the later addition of Stardog Illuminati from the Midlands was Superior to any of them in his opinion

I still lean towards duds being poorly grown plants, and maybe the taller growing, less branched variation. A GG4 S1, is not true GG4. As far as I know, and i monitor GG4 thread everyday, no one has improved, potency or output, with crosses of selfed.

There is GG5 and GG7. GG5 is GG1 male X GG4 female, if I am correct. I have no idea if they are improvements. I think the GG5 may produce more, but do not know THC numbers.

It is nice being here, where I seem to be appreciated.

I am no way an expert, but sharing my observations to help those that are not getting desired results.

Even the experts struggle with GG4. RB-26 (had lab tested 32+% GG4 lab test) asked Purple Frostbyte (grew bud that won 2014 LA hightimes cup), how he keeps flowering plants from losing their green color.

Just saying, even though you have the finest genetics, does not mean you are going to get those results, without perfecting the grow.

we all got the cuts roughly around the same time, silas brought over the forum cut day wrecker and glue and passed them around. i had those cuts long b4 joining here. how i see it if your rooms not running perfect your not gunna get the most outa the glue cut, ESP if your rooms are infected with PM and you have to spray the fuck outa them just to get them finished. i put it down to grower error plain and simple or they were passed infected cuts that couldnt reach there full potential as for fake glue cuts going round i dont think so . say no more..........

Yea i suppose if those were the Conditions All the plants you had growing would be Effected by this "Dud" Syndrome.. Unless some were Resistant!

My best plants came off of generations of problem grows. I say it was me. Just my opinion.

Maybe I should not post, although this was a discussion here, a year ago, which was considered BS.

Doubt GB has a different problem, but maybe should not post here.

There are so many potential variables. People with dud's should have to answer about 100 questions, with their report.

If anyone wants to collaborate on checklist, let me know. Otherwise, I will butt out.

I have not had blatant powdery mildew with GG4, but OG's in with them were wiped out. Maybe dudding could be latent PM.

I thought, maybe this is a GB only problem thread. I am just trying to help, not wasting time on non-issues. I think you guys are a year behind, since legit cuts took a lot of time to get there. Probably had to get their on private jet.

I'm just gonna add that the gg4 I had was also given to a load of people around my area. All their grows ended up like the one I helped with. Massive yielding sativa monsters with huge donkey dick baseball bat colas. The leaves were off the hook huge. Almost as long as my forearm to my tips of fingers. Zero resemblance to chem in any way shape or form.

According to RJ Of the GG4 camp, the plant only ever finishes with yellow leaves. Mine went purple and very dark. Not really yellow at all. Easily finished in 63 days. Where as mine went 77 and still could have gone on a little longer.

So, be it a dud, fake, or simply a mislabelled cut, 10 plus growers grew it all with the same results of which non were like the bit of gg4 I saw the other day, which totally lived up to the hype. But as said I didn't try any, just smelt it.

But at the same time, a lot of my cuts were dropping and going very weird. The wd40 and stardawg stopped performing. Wouldn't stretch. So on these grows with the gg4 they were 12-15 Oz plants, similarly he wd40 was of same yield on the previous run, but the last run gave only 3 Oz. I'm sure there was some virus or pathogen going on. No visible sign of anything, plants looked super healthy. Just didn't yeild. Took ages to root.

I'm sure had I had the gg4 ( so called ) for any longer it would have suffered the same fate.

Duds are real, I had a Triangle Kush that was full dud. Every cut taken produced hemp buds. Whatever was affecting the TK then spread to a clone I had selected from seed, causing it to dud as well, but only a single branch as opposed to the whole plant.

SativaBreather's glue cut performed perfectly first run then next run dudded. Shit's real.

This dud phenomenon is really crazy.
In my own experience I have never seen a variety held in clone form grow vastly different one time to the next.I've selected phenotypes and kept them myself for 7-8 years whether it be a dedicated long term mum or just keeping one and recloning when I gave the pre/early flower trim,and not had previously desirable,resinous plants turn into hay.I guess this thing has to be seen first hand to be believed and truly understood.
I don't recall hearing anyone had had a plant dud which they selected from seed themselves.It seems to go hand in hand with the clone market,so it makes me feel it has something to do with the way the plant has been treated.
It just seems mad to me,and counterintuitive to everything I 'know',that 'dudding' can't be reversed if it's a reaction to something that's going on in the growspace,even after that issue has been addressed.I feel it has to be systemics.

Ok so 'dud' is a Plant Affected by Toxins or as Retro grow says the Bm's 'virus' thats left depletes the Plants Qualities (?)... "So effected by a Disease" i think DUD is Completely the Wrong Word and VERY misleading...

I don't recall hearing anyone had had a plant dud which they selected from seed themselves.

I can't be sure it's related, but I selected a clone from seed which started dudding in its third generation having been grown alongside a dudding Triangle Kush mother.

The clone I selected from seed is being run again to see if the dudding is permanent or a one off, but what was odd was only a single branch dudded on an otherwise healthy plant.

I agree it's not genetic but some kind of pathogen as it seems to be spread and does not come from the source. For instance, it's common in ghost OG, many people report ghost dudds, single branches and whole plants in otherwise fine grows, however Ghost the individual, the originator of the cut, confirmed hes never had his cut dud. Joesy Whales has never had his glue dud, the cut came from him, but many many people have had glue dud on them, so somewhere down the line it's being picked up.

Another reason to keep your business CLEAN! I've had cuts for yrs that, I'm embarrassed to admit havnt had the best care at times! Sprayed with systemics aswell.. But never had a dud issue.

Is the any scientific proof of this phenomenon?


Coz what Mr handle says on online is a bit hard to swallow at times.

Alot of these symptoms sound like broadmites

Hay buds
Poor or extra long rooting on cuts
Spreading to other plants
And duds
I know alot of people use heavy chems
It seems to make the broadmites disappear for a while but they come back even stronger and immune to it

Oils are the way to go for bugs or ogbiowar.com if you have broadmites

Also over spraying (mixing sprays and using more than recommended dosage of heavy chems like avid /forbid and also the heavy shit from homebase and b and q) can degrade a strain

Any of you guys get cuts from someone who had broadmites ?
