Yeah im just wondering whether or not the change in hormone levels when inducing flowering by changing photoperiod may have a compounding effect on each subsequent generation. Is it the same as taking the snips say a week before switching the light cycle.

plus Bonsai mothers are kept for a long while. It just seems that there are stages to maturity, that seem to culminate when you induce flowering. You can see it with the growth pattern, symetrical nodes become alternate, blades increase on fans etc. Only seems logical!

Great question!!! No!! I never keep mom's. I take cuts from plants going into flower.

Also, the same donor sent more gave more GG4 cuts, when giving some OG's. So if clones from his mother did better, do not know. He is much better than I. Doing it as legit business, in legit state, so has resources.

i got my gg4 cut from silas ages ago along with few other bits , both myself and comsic had issues with her dudding after a few grows, thats why i dropped her for my room.

my gg4 cut came out reeking and tasting of that chem funk but hermied on the lowers and gave me four s1's. The second time round she dudded out on me and came out exactly how you described just like a bland generic sativa..a totally different plant to the previous grow so dropped it, i dont have time for them unstable cuts.

same here mate, was fire for first few runs but then freaked out big time , cosmic and few others have ad similar issues ..

it came from a very good source mate , those who know silas know he gets the good shit , it grew and smoked just like it was supposed to, i posted pics of her on here and on other sites and no one ever said it was anything but gg4, i passed cuts about and for every one else got good gg4 plants, some of these are still going strong from same cut i gave them, but my plant freaked out ... ?? imo its possible it just dosnt like certain environments.

im thinking high temps/low humidity tbh , id not used any chem sprays at this point,

thats what im thinking mate, as i did have issue one summer with very high temps and bit pm, she was never right after that no i think about it, everything else was fine.

I posted a few pages back about VPD, and no one blinked an eye, so assumed many were aware. Canopy temp for GG4 should not exceed 80F, and at that temp needs very high humidity, about 65%, and lots of airflow. Ideal temps would be between 78F during day, and 68F at night. Following VPD gave me almost leafless buds. Actually hotter and drier gave my leafy, larger buds, with much sugar leaf. Never weighed, but think I got more weight, that grow. Here is VPD chart-

Ive also had some lovely cuts go DUD on me. CaseyJones, Stardawg, WD40, I hope I've managed to get the stardawg back on track be leaving in a field for the summer, now has completely normal growth and is also praying again.. have taken cuts…. fingers crossed.

This year fly intervened heatwave across Europe when the temperature was in my grow room lethal values of 37c degrees Fahrenheit = 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit in a ll plants suffered but what is interesting and GG # 4 It suffered best of all she did not suffer significant stress from the heat and gave good grass in 63 days

Its strange cuttings going dud seems to have happened to a few. I wonder what causes it or if they can be bought back to there former selves. Guy Fawkes that Headband was my favourite preferred it to the GG4 and GSC although all three were very nice. Have you any idea what cutting of Headband it was never kept it unfortunately. Managed to get my cuttings all mixed up going to have to identify them as they flower hopefully theres a couple of Stardog in there as well as the GG4. One easy to identify is the Critical Kush very resinous strain best I've grown from seed for a long time kept a few phenos of it. Been looking at Karmas Biker Kush looks a big yielder for an og.
