Product overview states voltage:125/208/240/277 so you're in luck my friend, sorry about freakin you out I just wasnt sure.R means raintight by the way and is only for outside applications.Go for it man, hook up line and load,2 wire from the panel are line, doesnt matter which goes where,2 wires to the receptacles are load. Then ground of course.Your there!

O if you're wondering about the goofy 125 volt its just 110-120V using only one pole,1 line and 1 load.

Awesome, so it will definately work by just plugging in the wires according to the wire diagram? The only thing that weirds me out is that it doesn't show the ground going to the load with the two hot lines.

When you hook both grounds to it(the screw inside bottom of box) it'll be all tied together

Think of the load as your receptacles,of course the receptacles have to be grounded and if mounted in a metal box you must bond the box by pigtailing to a ground screw in the metal box.The lights are actually the load, but for wiring purposes think of the receptacles as load, panel wires as line.I havent a clue what your C stands for Jackson or exactly what that means lol

Kool, I'm just thankfull it worked, got it off a board on the beach after a hurricane. It did alot better then the house that used to be there... Didn't steal it was working for the owner and had a all you want, take, deal. Got alot of "gold" those few days...

Don't think the house fell untill after the storm. Nothing was wet or full of sand. Real nice washer/dryer that I'm useing a few dents but working just fine lets see... allmost three years now. The rich write it off on there claims we poor locals haul it home... Love those hurricanes, Bring 'em on.

This is from like twelve years ago. Sorry I suck with this new camera (way to small for my hands) cedar and I think oak it weighed a ton empty anyways. The lady paid me 100.00 to haul it off with her "junk". If I remember right I made more then that bill just in the copper pipe with it...

KUDOS to all that helped on this one. Another fine IC family get together to help a brother out. I personally, would spend a few bucks on 240 plugs and receptacles. Just me though, never any confusion or accidental plug-ins with bad results. Each to his own.
Peace

I have read this post just because of the interest in the back and forth. Don't understand hardly shit anyones said but a little.

May I ask you three for assistance in the future if I need some electrical questions related to our craft? I have a dream I hope to some day make come true (a huge grow room) and would need some help with some of the wiring. I do fine with the easy stuff but messing with the big box makes the knees a little weak and you just can't have anyone help you with this stuff because they figure out real quick what you are up to. Thought I would ask just incase I take that project on. :chin:

And again awsome for helping this guy out like you are doing.

Peace

2buds most people would use 240V devices I would think, they wouldnt be able to plug their 4 fixtutres into a single 4in. sq. box and there would be extra splices in the system,if you really understand receptacle configurations and what thats all about, you'd understand there is nothing electrically dangerous about doing it.The danger is in plugging a 120V device into the receptacles, but he's gonna have 4 lights plugged in that box, permanently.Just like I have 3 1 K vertizontals, they havent been unplugged for years and years there's never a reason to unplug them.So in actuality.the danger is quite minimal.Bree bring it on.

"You" do need help with such things, but books are help don't forget. Go to the library check out a few books. I've heard that Time life ain't bad. Use your peer to peer if you got one bet ya can find some books there too. Yes this is a good thread because of more then one opinion, but more is better in some cases (opinions). My opinion is household wiring is not made for contionus use like industrail lighting and you need to upgrade to heavier gauge like your stove/drier is.

With that said, if your comfortable with what you did, and nothing feels warm right after/close to the end of burning your lights/and equipment, it should be ok. Never run your room without checking the wiring for aleast a few days. I mean check like every hour the first "dry" runs just too feel save. Checked and rechecked and hell why not check again. Then start your thing.

Safer is safer, there is NO overkill when it comes to your life...

Jackson no offense man but it still your opinion that the amperage rating of a 120V receptacle will be cut in half if you apply 240V to it?There is no opinions when it comes to electricity bro, only a right way and a wrong way.Its not my "opinion" that 120V receptacles can be used on 240V lighting,do you think I'm the first to do it bro?Do you think I made it up?I'm not smart enough, someone hipped me to it before I did all my wiring. You can have an opinion of the best way to do a job,but not how the electrical is going to function.I respect you trying to help throughout this thread, your idea on the amperage rating though showed me you have a bit of knowledge, but your not an electrician. That being said I'm not whatever it is you do for a living either,so I didnt mean it in any condescending way.You have helped thats for sure and its appreciated by everyone I'm sureEDIT You can bet before I wired my growroom I talked with many an electrician and supply house guru's about the subject of 120 and 240 volt receptacles and received the same response each and every time.

No pissing contest, please...

Like I stated, "if your comfortable with what you did"...

It's all good as long as you do your own "check list", bro...
