Are they going to make a spec-V of the R35? I'm curious to see how much weight they can shave off along with the other goodies. That would be make this thing even more of a force to be reckon with then it already is.

The only bad thing about a Caparo T1, is they have a tendency to catch on fire.

SnF: Well that comparo wasn't really fair, was it? The Zr1 cost about 30k more than the Base GT-R. Think about this though, the 2010 GT-R just posted a 7:26 on the Ring. That is the same time as the Zr1...

The Vspec has the same horsepower 485, but loses about 200 lbs with the CF, new brakes, new wheels, and rear seat delete.

Sorry for the double post.

But I think I found my next project car.

1995 Lexus SC400, 120K, Interior is perfect, transmission is good (even though I am ripping it out and mating a 6 speed). 3500.00

Sorry for the double post, but I found my project car. Going to pick it up today.

1995, Lexus SC400. My goal is to have a extreme sleeper. I want 600-650 RWHP.

Mods include:
TwinTurbo the V8
mate a 6 speed
new brakes
new exhaust
coil overs
19" wheels
alcantara interior
100 shot (might be a secret weapon)

My finished product will look similar to this, but with HRE wheels.

uhhh I would just stick with the sc300

those v8s tend to be shitty. most ppl rip em out and toss a 2jz in. limited aftermarket and are well known for being unreliable

Nice choice on a project car bobby. No interest in the Toyota Soarer? Same car but I think it has a TT supra engine from the factory.(could be wrong though been awhile since I even looked @JDM) From what I hear you can really do some work to those engines. Then again the sounds of a TT V8 sounds quite enticing. Can you say torque?

The 4.0 liter V8 (1uzfe) from Lexus is bullet proof.

Everyone does the Supra conversion, even me.

I had a converted SC300 before my V.

Now I want something a bit different.

How is this car plated in the US? That's a Washington plate...right? A few years back I looked into importing a Skyline or Sunny into Canada from Japan and plating there through a friend and drive it in Cali. You can get a cherry older car, either model, very inexpensively. Problem is, at least from my research, is they were not legal in the US. I found one company in SoCal that would modify Skyline's for Cali registration but it was ridiculously expensive...almost as much as the car itself cost.

Guess I answered my own question that it's possible to convert one but wouldn't know how to go about it myself. Maybe I should track that owner down...lol.
