Contrarily to what Frylock stated the Op-eds such as the one in Consortium are lined up and piling on to say 'oh, oh, me too...choose me' as they write of cherry-picked items to smear, bring down the man. Certainly, I am not a fan of John McCain but I judged him only on his voting record and ACTUAL video of him. I have watched no MSM praise of him as I do not receive any.

He was for sure brainwashed regarding America's role in the world but most Americans are. The do not see USA as the oppressor she is. McCain overly flexed the military machine within his realm but he was often a calming voice of reason in a pit of hideous pigs which comprises congress. (and their supreme leader)

What ever happened to reporting the news? When I was growing up, this was what journalism was. Investigative journalism was a separate 'thing' as were editorials.

I appreciate your response. I do tend to prefer my news and entertainment to reflect my views of distrust and cynicism towards those in power, but you can't deny that there is some good journalism within consortium news, as with the majority of sources. I do wish there was a single source of unbridled investigative journalism, but it seems you have to wade through a lot of crap to get to it these days.


I will concede I do like the fact that he had cojones and actually challenged the president, when the rest of the party put their tails between their legs and hid. I just can't see that as redemption enough to heap praise on him and have his legacy maintained as a positive one.

I think he was talking about the recent movie about Dick Cheney. You should probably learn a bit more about McInnes' history too. I do miss when he was at Vice, it was actually fun to read back then.

I find the guy funny, I enjoyed his writing, and how Vice was when he was there opposed to how it is now, not owned in part by fucking Disney. I'm not a liberal or a conservative so I could care less about his political affiliations. I also don't need to agree with the guys views to find him funny or listen to them.

Funny helps but if I disagree too much and am incapable of response that affects an equal communication I don't waste time steeping myself in their own truth.

I balance other's beliefs not only against my own but with my fellow citizens as well.

And at some times I decide I don't fit in the majority.

But I don't decide that I'm right before considering whether or not they may be nor do I consider their convictions mine.

I laughed a bunch at his dads deposition regarding some of their business practices. They compare what they were talking about vs what time sales spiked and then just continually hit up that topic. I just dont get how people dont see it for the scam it is.
