His memory is being hated because of his one vote that his constituency wanted him to make?!

Or is it that Trump hated that vote....?

Wrong, we wanted to repeal Obamacare and he ran on repealing Obamacare then voted no. He knew he was going to die and got one last jab at Trump and that's why the msm dressed him all up for you.

You missed the whole point. It had nothing to do with trump. That's so very ignorant. McCain was not a vindictive man. Repealing the Affordable Care Act means that people are going to die. Many of those are his constituents or family of.

He did the 'thumbs down' because they had no replacement plan didn't he?

I don't know squat about him but being offered a ticket home from the POW camp because his dad was a high rank military guy and rejecting it because his fellow POWs wouldn't get a ticket home with him is integrity.... THAT is why Trump couldn't stand the guy.

Regardless of politics, the guy could have been a complete putz, but he had courage to do what he thought was right, Trump on the other hand....

His fake love for the flag, hugging the flag, he is HIDING behind the flag, using it to whip gullible patriots into a lather.

I only wish his brain cancer could have lasted longer

That's the kind of thinking a real citizen wouldn't be capable of.

Proof Trump supporters love the idea of chastising and eliminating opposition.

Wish them dead sooner and want more suffering than already incurred.

And you got a high five on it.

I don't hope rectal cancer ruins you and your family....

But if it did I would laugh.

“I hate the gooks. I will hate them as long as I live.” -John McCain

Understandable how Five and a half years of being brutally tortured in the North Viet Nam Hanoi Hilton prison could give a man that opinion.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons for his compassion towards the Affordable Care Act.

Possibly, but McCain was not a good man or worthy of any ones adoration, unless you're of the John Bolton and Mike Pompeo ilk. Sure, no one should go through what he did in Vietnam, but no one should have to suffer the results of the many many US lead 'regime changes' either.

Couple things of note are his membership in the WACL, his affiliation with Al Qaeda members in Libya and Syria, and his support of far-right militias and actual Sig-haling Nazis in Ukraine. Really seems like any other figure in the military industrial complex to me, but I guess he opposed Trump at one point in his life so he gets a pass for a lifetime of warmongering imperialism.

Not difficult to find where you get your 'opinion'

Perhaps looking further afield could be in order.

That was my go to reference for that comment, yes, and I stand by it, you can't really find a better source of neutral journalism than Consortium news. I could look many other places to find dirt on McCain, but I chose one. If it helps ease your guys mind, I respect him more than I ever could Trump, still not worthy of the praise heaped on him at the end of his life for simply displaying common sense though.

Contrarily to what Frylock stated the Op-eds such as the one in Consortium are lined up and piling on to say 'oh, oh, me too...choose me' as they write of cherry-picked items to smear, bring down the man. Certainly, I am not a fan of John McCain but I judged him only on his voting record and ACTUAL video of him. I have watched no MSM praise of him as I do not receive any.

He was for sure brainwashed regarding America's role in the world but most Americans are. The do not see USA as the oppressor she is. McCain overly flexed the military machine within his realm but he was often a calming voice of reason in a pit of hideous pigs which comprises congress. (and their supreme leader)

What ever happened to reporting the news? When I was growing up, this was what journalism was. Investigative journalism was a separate 'thing' as were editorials.

Whatever happened to reporting the news?

Roger Ailes, his staff at the Reagan White House, and their fellow-travelers such as Newt Gingrich, decided to sell a narrative - a ‘conservative’ narrative - which cast people like Reagan, Gordon Liddy, Oliver North, John Poindexter as ‘heroes’ fighting back against “liberals” and the media.

The narrative spread to include the web, radio, TV, and fundamentalist Christianity...radical right-wing “conservatives” gladly took the fees, the exposure, and the bait
