Here Here, ever breeder in the world has jumped on someones else's crosses, not one seed company out there can say different. I'm looking at it in the same form as big business. I'm a business man first, and I think that if more people can get what they want for less is what the world wants. When the doctor tells you GRAPEPUNCHED, the pills you're going to have to take is going to cost you $200 for 2 week worth, or you can get the generic ones for $30 dollars, which ones are you going to buy?
Do you or have you ever bought Nirvana Seeds GrapePunched? If you have then you have just supported what I'm speaking of. And yes there will be new lines,of course. Some that you can't get any other way, like California strains.

I have never used anyone else's strains to make seeds, NEVER.
To do so is theft. And the person doing it is a THIEF.
But no problem, you are not a doer you are a talker...

A man who works its own hybrids thinks in terms of plants and if job is good, he may think in selling his job. But work should be first to deserve any profit. If there is not breeding job at all, I dont think anybody else deserve any profit but youc an donate or share your seeds

Usually a breeder spend years to create an hybrid. Some will make F2 in 5 minutes. Why to breed anymore if that is going to happen? Is it worth to breed originals in present scenario?

Here is Sp, lots of new so called seed banks (I wont use that name but "seed makers") are feminizing any and each elite clon available, then STS and S1, then in the market with new or even same name and sometimes even more expensive than original breeders stock... nobody complain, media dont complain, retailers dont complain.. I do complain sorry to say.

Its an awful feeling to see your work hacked in the name of too many things when so many ppl can try and do own hybrids by their own.. but for sure, thats working... yes, thats working and takes time.

I know for some is hard to undertand and is easy to say well you know, everybody does the same... all seedbanks are business ugly guys.. all are just marketing... sorry to say thats not truth. Thats an excuse some will use to shit on ethics and reason why there is been so little work for a decade. But in these days to talk about ethics is like using a XIX century old term.

sam i have old high times from 1989, they sell seeds in the classified part's for 1 doller a seed just send to po box such n such cali

this is 2008, gallon of gas cost nearly 4 doller's, i respect you alot sam, but i think that 3-4 dollers a seed doesnt seem fair i mean id pay 10 bucks for something really amazing. you know the plant is worth more then 1 doller or 10 for that matter.

i sure do respect you sam, but i think the time we are in reflects the prices, and the fact that people doin the distributin want to make thier share(perfectley understandable illegal stuff....)

even though i dislike marc emery hes still going to jail for 30+ years for distributing, but hes quite a loud mouth sometimes to..... but even at that hes goin away for the seedy bussiness he ran. so it is possible for america to hunt you.

The add you refer to was for dead seeds which were legal to sell in the USA, they gave the seeds fancy names to get people to buy them. I know because I got some. They were stopped by High Times when they realized it was a rip.

I know people will make and sell seeds for high prices, it is the nature of the biz, but at the same time I can get thousands of seeds from a single plant, how much profit is fair? To me seeds were never about the money they were about the herb. If I still sold seeds maybe I would feel different, but even a $1 a seed is a lot more then the herb sells for, a lot more. I wish seeds were cheaper because I would like to see lots of herb grown everywhere from seed and then maybe more people would grow more seeds and use less clones. But to each their own....

ETHICS very few practise that in this community hakk this hakk that hype it sell it and its onto the next hyped line.

You know sam i dont mind paing for seed but like you say one good size female plant polinated well in flower will produce a large amount of seed and i do it my self and i give most away for free as do many.

You know guys id pay $100 a seed for strains i wanted sounds crazy right but if you cant find something you really need and want and you were given the option to get it even at an over inflated price id bet my left nut most would pay the money to.

I think if people could protect there work or strains they were smart inuf to collect and store correct or grow out and preserve maybe more would be made avaluble and not have only hybrids to pick from wich even they are being riped off and hakked.

There are many of us out there that have misgivings about the seed industry and many of these impressions are probably justified. A lot of the overpriced strains for sale are pretty much a proven male crossed to a mum clone plant kept in permanent vegetative cycle for the next round of seeds. The clone as cash cow is the end result and it remains doubtful that the end user is really getting value for the dollar premium paid for minimalist breeding efforts. There is nothing wrong with seed making, but the prices should be inline with the efforts put forward.
When one sees seeds companies with 80 strains, one has to marvel at how it was possible to make such an achievement in such a short space of time

Well SamS I have to say that, that statement is very untrue. You have used someones strains to make seeds. The very first ones that you got came from someone else or someones else fields. We know that hemp seeds have been traded for lord knows how long. What you have done we us is great and we thank you for it. But with that being said, it time to make somethings that people can't get or pay to much for cheap. I can afford anything that is out there for sale. But this is not about me, and what my pockets can handel. Where I come from we call that pocket checking. Pocket checking is a no no SamS.
Now I do still think that $30 bucks can be done for a Elite strain. Hell so many people are trying to make a arm and leg off of OG Kush. I should flood the market with them.

Personally ive sold alot of seeds at Cbay,an it is work to say the least...
F2's mostly but with the work involved....PLUS the 50 to 60% cut??
You really have to atleast price them at 20 to 80 bucks,for 10 or 12 seeds!
