I remember when my Dad was given a pager by the company he worked for and we were very impressed. Later came the brick cell phone, and the internet. When we got our first generic PC with a 10 mb harddrive, 512k ram, with a 286 cpu, all the kids on the block wanted to be my best friend. AOL was the shit back then. Funny what we considered cutting edge tech not so long ago.

i liked Mr. Greenjeans. something about Capt. Kangaroo made me nervous...
Yup....supposedly an OK guy. Rumors of pedophilia are untrue. Still, he was strange, even growing up watching him.

Like Bud Green said, we preferred Mr. Greenjeans.

Jarod Fogel....now there's one for the record books....losing weight & child porn.

Yeah
Being a boy scout or a alterboy put you into a high risk group.
Not a flippant comment.
Heart goes out to people/kids that got treated badly.

Remember when the local priest word was much stronger to parents than their own children.Fucked up.

Peace

I remember the scout master was a bit of a drinker. All was cool. We did are thing. He did his.

Until one morning I saw this kid walking through the trees. He had a shovel in one hand and his pants loaded with shit in the other.

He had stolen the scout masters whiskey. Got drunk and loaded his pants.

Someone talked. Then we got a new scoutmaster. Less fun more merit badges.

My fav will always be Lt. Col. Fred Rogers.

One wonders how much therapy it takes to make it through vietnam and turn into Mr Rogers. (Yes I am referencing that episode of Black Dynamite).

I remember when playgrounds used to be fun and kids could actually get hurt on them.

Went back to the old neighbourhood, the awesome playset (that maybe I was thinking of playing on .... maybe....>_> <_<) was taken out and replaced with one that would be perfect for 3 year olds with little ambition.

...and I'm not even that old!
