I grow it, but don't really want to...

You can. Once diabetes sets in, bananas will be off the list unless you want to degrade faster. However bananas can be used as a great food source for plants. Blend up a few over ripe brown bananas peel and all with a big tablespoon of molasses and water. Good for blooming. Just make sure bone meal is incorporated into the soil with it.
It was a joke. We are monkeys. Not dogs or cows. Apes. Name one ape thats carnivore. Gorillas have biig canine teeth but dont eat meat at all. Larvae is the only animal protein they get. Chimpanzees eat some meat but most of their diet is made of plants. Youre spreading pseudo science.

Your turn to provide supporting facts.

The facts say you are the one who has the wrong information.
Welcome to the Forums.

Here is a seminal study titled “Initial sequence of the chimpanzee genome and comparison with the human genome” details the high genetic similarity between humans and chimpanzees, reinforcing the concept of a common ancestor. DOI: 10.1038/nature04072

There's also another influential paper, “A Draft Sequence of the Neandertal Genome”, provides robust genetic evidence on how modern humans are related to other archaic hominins, offering insight into the evolutionary tree of our species. DOI: 10.1126/science.1188021

Good luck with your endeavours!

I’m truly happy for your wife. She has someone who cares as much as you do.

As much as I love living soils, I had to make a change, and I believe you could benefit from a big change in growing style.

Living soils do best in large beds. If you are looking for something easier, you could try growing in smaller pots and use mineral salts.

Watch YouTube videos with
Bruce Bugbee, PhD from USU. Be sure to pause the video and take notes. You will want them later.

I will post pictures in a grow journal for you to look at. I’m usually available to answer questions, and I’m happy to take all the time and help that I got, and pay it forward.

Peace…Jeff

Terrible at typing. Contact me;
Cannabis Critically and we will talk.

I spend most of my time in an electric wheelchair, so I can empathize and share some things I have learned that help save me footsteps and too much effort.

You obviously cannot care for your wife and plants if you do not care for yourself. It’s possible to grow medicinal plants on a small scale, do it simply, and do it without spending the rest of the day sick and in pain yourself.

Peace, Jeff

That would be nice. I have not changed anything because if I mess up and lose a harvest we both suffer so I have stuck with what works. I would like things to be easier, and there is a lot I do not know or have not thought of. I have to stay relatively legal, but there is no inspector coming around as of yet. A recent surprise power outage showed me how suddenly strangers can need access to inside our apartment. Our only option is indoor growing.

2 seperate tents. 2x2 (60x60x160cm) and 2.5x2.5 (80x80x180cm) Homebox ambient. Clip fans.

Lumatek attis pro 200 in the bigger tent. Viparspectra xs1500 pro in the smaller tent.

Dehumidifier

Plus a cardboard box. I mention that because of airflow. Inline fan pulls fresh air into cardboard box which is where we hang fresh cut plants to dry in darkness until ready for jars. Then that air enters small tent where it exits into bigger tent where it goes through an air filter and exits into the kitchen. This way there is no smell to disturb anyone.

Been growing organic, using cannaterra professional as growing medium. Started with biobizz nutrients, but switched to ordinary tomato fertilizer (4-8-10 for flowering) and herb fertilizer for veg to save money. Works fine. Dont need to pay extra for cannabis labeled phosphorus or nitrogen. Would love to use a 0-15-15 for flowering but to many shady companies adding synthetic PGRs is not worth the risk. Soil enriched with DE and mycorrhizal fungi. If I overwater mushrooms pop up so I know the fungi is working.

I use rainwater I disinfect with a little H202 and water collected from the dehumidifier. Dehumidifier makes about 2 liters of water in 24 hours in winter. If I use tap water, I have to add a little vinegar to get it where it needs to be.

Genetics are true medical cannabis (as in medical strains of antiquity) most of the time like Lesotho and Nigerian, or heirlooms like Mazar or Idukki. Depends on what has run out on the shelf. I dont even grow what I would like to consume because of limitations. Maybe one day.

The law here is 3 plants per adult per household. There is a harvest limit, but it's not so important at this point. The real limitation is the space. I cant devote anymore real space than what I have now. Maybe a small spot for seedlings. The only thing I can think of is adding cO2.

I reuse my soil one time, mixing it 50/50 with biobizz all-mix to make sure there is some nutrients in it to kick things off. The constant buying of soil, and throwing it out seems stupid. But in an apartment I cant make a compost pile or even a bucket without being a problem. So I am open to trying coco but not hydroponic. Too much is lost in hydroponic for the end product.

Germination is always a tense time. With such genetics, each seed is valuable and seed stock has to be taken into account. Old seeds need help to germinate, I'm slowly becoming an expert at first aid for semi-old seeds.

That's about all I can say about equipment and supplies.
Not to add to your already stressed grow but rather than continuing to start from seed, the perpetual grow that was mentioned earlier is a great idea but rather than start a seed, take about 4 or 5 lower stems and stick them in a glass of water and near a light and after a few weeks they will grow roots, pick the strongest few and veg them until you are ready to flower. Never run out of medicine for your wife, you always know what you are growing and you save $$ on seeds. I try to keep 5 to 7 strains for variety.

Hi, new guy here. I grow marijuana but it's a lot of work. I dont really want to do it anymore, but my wife needs it as medicine so I am constantly growing it because of legal restrictions. I cant just do a big crop and relax. Cant afford to buy it, so I'm stuck. It's like a damn nightmare.
Hello and welcome!
Well, you´re obviously a good, caring husband :) Are you able to grow strains which grow bigger and provide larger yields?

Sorry it wasn't in the original post. That was dumb of me to leave it out. Here there is only a slight decriminalization for recreational use, but still under prohibition. Sounds stupid, but I think that is the most accurate. 3 plants per adult per household, I forgot the harvest limit. Basicly you cant have 3 giant plants. If that were the case I would fill my living room with 3 giant colombians, or the 3 giant Mazar indicas. That would be a dream come true. But I stay more or less in the limits with the tiny tents in our tiny apartment. Hash making is not really feasible with such small spaces. I fantasize about guerilla gardening, but here it would be extremely difficult. Someone would find them.
you can ignore my last post then. I wasn´t aware of the restrictions you have. It IS a huge problem. Has any other grower in Germany been checked out by the police yet ? I mean to check the number of plants etc.

So I have looked into "coots mix" to recharge and reuse the soil. Reusing soil is what I want to get set up for.

What else are you guys having success with to reuse the soil?
It’s going to be difficult to do a living soil grow with 3 gallons pots.

Having said that, if you are going to amend and reuse your media, I recommend you reach out to and read posts from @KIS in the organic soil forum. He is an expert on amending and reusing potting media.

Peace, Jeff
