Lotsa purpling. More purple than the purple kush i've seen going around; i'm sure keeping my night temps in the low 60s has nothing to do with that though ;)

I added about 30ml of pure flowers a a time till the ppms went from around 450-500 to 750ish; (bout 60ml total per addback) probably could have gone higher but didn't want to risk burning them the first time around. I didn't back down on the nutes and i wouldn't change a thing for run to waste; i'd save it for dwc applications though since it works so well and is no longer on the market. Cool, dark place and it should last awhile.

As far as 30-50ppm it's more about what base ppm u start with. Its just p and k which plants want in flower so i went with more rather than less when it came to bulking on top of the nutes. Never heard of a pk overdose in flower ;) Long as they don't get burned you're good to go.

I used it from week 3 to 7... they are getting pulled today @ 70 days. 2.5 months veg + 2.5 months flower is a long enough.

Gonna try something different for drying this time; usually i take it off site but my boy has been broke and his recent harvest was weak so i'd feel better keeping this stuff close to home; not to mention he can play hard to get which means my stuff might hang for an extra day while he washes the sand out his vag which is probably the main reason i'm going to do the initial hanging onsite.

That and the fan leaves have so many trichs it'd be a shame not to trim em wet and freeze them for bubble goodness. Going to hang the plants whole and trim em while they hang. To this end i'll be setting up a darkroom 240 i have lying around as a drying room; going to but my canfilter from my growroom in there an oscillating fan and a dehumidifier. Figure i can get a nice dark environment that's not too moist while controlling the smell as best as possible. Anyone out there have any experience drying in tents? Seems like it'd be pretty commonplace.

true SR kept a lot of bammer for a long while... ak47, white widow, odyssey, all pretty shitty cuts... but their hindu skunk, and purple kush were bomb.

wish they would move on to more tried and true name brand varieties.
OG, diesel, kush, different purples, etc.

the gooXdc looks bomb as hell, but man... 2.5 months veg? that better yeild buckets.

I am going with the Under Current as the winner.

I read up more on the DM Gold, seems like a very high class nutrient. I am very curious to see how it all comes out in the end.

I am going to hand water the Pure Flowers a couple times a week when I do teas, Catalyst, etc. That way I am not running tons of it down the drain.

Are you sure that stuff is totally off the market now? I know where there are least 5-9 gallons of it. $89 each. If it does work out so very well I might just have to stock up.

Great thread so far! Pureflowers is still in the '09 Sunlight Supply catalog, and can still be had online many places. I run it 1ml/gal and find it is awesome!

well that wasn't too hard... it tops off with its own ro unit and has a chiller too boot; shouldn't present any problems that i can think of

of course now we have the issue of transplanting gaint trees from 9x9 rockwool filled batobuckets into 8" netpots; they had already rooted out so i just violently pruned off loads of roots and shoved the remaining rockwool rootballs into the netpots... now at this point you're thinking opt1c.. bro... you're crazy you can't run rockwool in dwc... it'll get too wet

well u can if u drop the water level to the bottom of the netpots and run em krusty style :joint:

hella goods ! best i seen in a long time!! 999.00 for the rig... way nice!!

nice to hear pure flowers is still around; i heard that the guys who ran the company all went to jail and the company went under. i use about 1ml/gal as well; stuff is super concentrated.

the rdwc rig is an under current 6xl by current culture h20; they have a website you can find via google; from what i've heard the systems have a bit of a wait and it's easiest to call them direct but you can also order through your local hydro store. everything except the medium and plants are included in the box; so all pumps, fittings, etc.. the top off can hook to anything; i just hooked mine to a ro unit and i added the chiller as well.. so aside from a ro unit and a chiller it has everything else

thx for the positive vibes everyone

So i setup a drying tent. Its a dr240w with a 4" vortex as exhaust connected to a small carbon filter for the smell. I have the fan exhausting for 15minutes every 45, cheap timer what can i say. Seems to work ok; they are drying slowly. I think the fan cycle gives the tent a lung effect; breathe in breathe out. Seems to give a nice slow drying environment without the humidity getting too out of control; time will tell though.

Anyone think i should throw a small clip fan in there to get the air circulating indirectly while the exhaust fan is off? I don't want mold but i don't want to dry it too quickly. I also have an extra dehumidifier but that seems like it'd dry things out too much.

Here are some pics...

great grow!

where did you hear about the makers of pure flowers going to jail? seems like a rumor to me unless you have a reliable source.

i just watched a clip on urbangrower that says he only recommends using the dehumidifier only for the first day of drying because it will dry the plants too quickly if its ran for a few days. i guess you don't want to buy a controller for the exhaust which i would think would be the best to keep the humidity constant. i think adding the small clip fan not blowing directly at the buds would be a good idea. are you monitoring the min/max humidity in the tent?

search for higrocorp and meth lab... not pretty... and no real details aside from initial reports a year ago; either they have lots of dead stock or they're still around... the lack of any websites or contact info doesn't make it any easier to find out whats up.

yeah; a controller would probably work pretty good although; i really think relocating my chhc-1 into the drying tent would be overkill; i'll get some readings tomorrow.. luckily humidity isn't too high around here but i might as well keep tabs on it.

Marco Renda has a spectacular aura aboutMarco Renda has a spectacular aura about

Higrocorp are they really guilty?
This is an email that I recieved from a sales rep for a major wholesaler in Canada. We must remember that folks are INNOCENT until proven GUILTY in the court of law.

Hi there is a thread in your newsgroup that propagates unjust and untrue information. regarding the bust of higrocorp or aka sustainable plant nutrition.

neither the kingston paper or any other media did disclose that at the first bail hearing the cops came up with NO positive test on anything they seized at the SUPER BIGGEST EVER METH LAB. they seized fertilisers, like the sing on the door suggested that they would find... but cops dont necessarly know how to read...

there was NO meth lab at Higrocorp, its all drugwar propaganda. They were (the cops) certainly amazed by the size of the lab, because it was indeed a lab, one used to make fertiliser organic and non organic, but NO meth...

dissapointed of finding fuck all, bigbrother pushed to keep to whole familly in jail until they could find something wrong, wich they could not achieve yet. they are skinning every paperfile, every computer, every phone, every contacts...and are still finding fuck all.

the whole thing has all sort of crap lawyer cops no communication parameters, but the truth will be revealed very soon. There is a new law in ontario preventing easy bail, in meth cases (even when there is NO meth) making accurate information very hard to find.

unlike the posters on the many web sites, I know WTF i'm talking about because the kanellos's are my friends and business partners (I sell fertiliser) and I have been in touch with them, since this idious flagrant drugwar abuse. I am not sure you can publish any of this yet, but you should close the thread, since it is offensive and will certainly be target to tarnished reputation lawsuits... and on top of Agrowchem make fine and fantastic product for your any type of crops, with high quality and respect for the planet unlike the real meth lab that they did NOT bust that day... so they do not diserve this bad credit, refuted by semi stoned morons, who can only cut and paste from sentationnalistic eager local newspaper, which apparently googled all of its refferals.

dont fall in the propaganda, but hey, if i am wrong and that they really did meth there, they diserve life in jail, I dont care... but it is not the case.

yeah i saw that but that was it; other forums were saying that one brother was doing it without the knowledge of the others.... still... you'd think you'd hear something in the news about bogus charges being dropped or a lawsuit or something to that affect... all i know is that the stuff works and plays nice in the under current

just added a min/max humidity/temp gauge; how high is too high for rh% in a tent while drying? 40-50%? i can move my chhc-1 in there and have it control the temp/humidity... no reason to spend 5 months on a crop to half ass it in the end; thought i was spoiling them with their own darkroom but i like to treat my girls well... so... full atmospheric control for drying? and if so what are the best temps? 70f/40-50rh? Always open to new ideas; normally i dry in a basement so the tent drying is new to me; imagine that

I have found the best way to dry, for me at least, has been with a fan blowing under but not at the plants and an exhaust up high set on low to keep the warmer humid air at the top of the drying area going out.
I wouldn't worry about a dehumidifier unless the humidity is over 70%. As for temps, I like mid 70's. Your problems with mold will come if you have humid still air in the tent.
I also noticed that you have the plants hanging whole. If you are going to do that I would suggest that you at least remove all of the large fan leaves. I mean huge ones that are at the limb junctions. That is always the first thing I do at harvest because they tend to fold in aroud the plant and will cut down on airflow and give mold a better chance to take hold.
As thick as those plants are I would probably limb them out and hang the limbs seperatly too. But everyone has their own preference on that.

Great looking harvest by the way.

always hang em whole for a couple days; then they get chopped into bag sized parts and put in grocery bags for 2 WEEKS; i don't do anything less... after 2 weeks they are cured and can be trimmed, smoked, etc... found the best flavor of smoke and taste from hanging the plant whole... trimming is a bit more work but i've found that when the fan leaves curl around the buds they do a good job of protecting the trichs on the buds

i ended up moving my sentinel chhc-1 to the side of the tent; hooking up the exhaust fan to the temp sensor and the dehumidifier to the humidity plug...humidity was getting quite high in the tent... they seem to be drying a bit better now with the humidity down... plants had a lot of moisture in em

i am tempted to start trimming now just to get stuff for bubble but i've heard that as long as your freeze it quickly it doesn't really matter when you trim your trim... i'd hate to spend so much time growing a crop to half ass it on the veg

Temps and rh seem good. What I do is trim em hang em for about 4 days then clean em off the stem and jar it for a few hours then ill paper bag it over night then back in the jar and repeat until the are totally dry then i leave em in the jar it works perfect every time taste and smoothness is perfect after a couple weeks in the jar and even gets better at 2 months in the jar. Try it on 1 branch you will love it.
My 2 cents
